A vendor dropped off two fried turkeys and some rolls. Then I ate my sandwhich that my wife packed me. Then I found out I had a lunch n learn with another vendor who brought Fertilli's Pizza. I'm pretty stuffed right now.

Has anyone read The Witcher books? Are they any good? The last book I read was "On Basilisk Station". I didn't enjoy it much. My friend keeps telling me to read the rest of the books but I don't have the stomach to.

I borrowed a Zune HD from a friend for about a month. I loved the device and the software. It lets you get your music back out of your zune unlike iTunes. The only think I didn't like about the Zune HD was that there are almost no apps at all. Other than that it was great. If I had to buy a player today I'd probably go with the iPod touch simply because of all the apps it has for it and there's not really a great android alternative. Archos makes android players but apparently you can't use the normal android marketplace so screw that. Also, Creative labs customer service is truly terrible so I'd recommend staying away from them.

Well, Die Hard 4 was awful too. I understand how cool the imagery was back in the day but as a movie it's pretty terrible. Acting was bad, story was bad, the basic concepts of computers were bad and the music is so bad. It's just a special effects film and I don't really know how the new tron is going to be any different. I guess it has daft punk.

I watched the original last night. That is a terrible terrible movie. I can't imagine how the new one is going to be better...

Right now the big ones for me are LA Noire and Last Guardian.

Yeah, that's some pretty dominant pitching right there. They also have the bats to back it up so I don't see how they can lose. Then again, everyone thought they would win last year.

I do love Call of Duty, Sam Worthington's cool, Avatar was derivative but pretty. I do understand the criticism that COD is always the same game. I just like it so much that I don't really care. It's kind of like how GTA always gets great reviews despite always being the same game. Maybe COD doesn't deserve the critical praise it gets but it's just so much fun I don't really care.

I just looked up John Huges to find out why he's not making movies. I guess he retired young and then died of a heart attack last year. I miss his old movies. They were such greatness.

Yeah, ATB will always remain a niche market but I don't think it's ever going to regain the popularity it had in the PSX days.

The other problem with ATB is it really isn't "meaningful strategy" most of the time. In the vast majority of ATB games you just level grind.

Bouchart is mostly correct. I personally think that ATB games were a product of gaming consoles not being able to do much more at the time. With current technology they seem antiquated and boring.

What could possibly go wrong?

You know, the community at the site has always been the only draw. It's a shame that they have such incompetent people at the helm. I think I may be done with Gawker completely after this though.
