Why did you go with the 3 over the 2? I've read a bit too much saying that there isn't enough that's compatible with the higher resolution and gaming suffers on it compared to the 2. That plus the charging issues since it requires so much power for that screen.

Does anyone else have a rule about not buying something on Steam if it's on GoG? This has been an interesting sale for me because of that.

That's healthy skepticism there. Good job at being classy Penny Arcade. I think a lot of the hype comes down to "How much do you care about $100?" more than anything. As I've said multiple times before: As an Android user who knows the potential of the platform I'm excited for the device because it's so cheap (I want a dedicated device I can hook up to my TV damnit!) not necessarily due to anything specific they're promising in terms of gaming.

I have the same, and all of those are a pain in the ass to hook up to my TV or they don't have the same capabilities. This will be a nice little all-in-one package that will be TV dedicated and you bet your ass I'm going to root the shit out of it and get whatever crazy media capability I can out of it. It depends on if they tell the delivery service that it requires a signature or not. On many sites you can put "no signature required" in the comments and they'll just leave stuff at your door. UPS has some pretty convenient features nowadays with free texts and whatnot.

Something can be both "hype" and "hyped." "Hype" is sort of like cool, happening, awesome. The flipside to it would be that its used to mean bullshit, as in its all media hype or something (think viral marketing.) My experience with stuff being "hype" is from the fighting game community.

It's half the price of the Nexus tablet. Also, it comes with the controller at $100.
