I beat Gone Home. I enjoyed it. The Chris Remo soundtrack was really good throughout. Looking through Wikipedia I did learn most of the story but one thing I missed was her parents finding out about her sister and her friend. Overall it was interesting to piece it all together and start to feel for what your in-game sibling was going through. Not only was the setting nostalgic but hearing about what her sister was doing is nostalgic of youth. With that in mind I'm now a lot more interested in Tacoma. Also one thing I was thinking about later: The whole game sort of tricks you into thinking it's going to be a horror game with its ambiance and mood before it lightens up as you learn about your sister and figure out what the "ghost" actually is. I thought that was a nice approach.

^them ditching Windows RT for full Windows was the best decision. If I had the money or got a bonus or something I'd totally pick up the Surface 3 to replace several other devices. I can do my heavy lifting elsewhere.

Burn it to DVD? What kind of savage are you? The Win10 downloader tool straight up gives you a USB option. As for exact update methods there's now a ton of documentation on it online. My friend did the whole update, wipe, and install onto new disk thing and I think he just had to wait a few days for it to be activated. Either way it's been a week and a half. The processes are all online now so just search for them. I saw that Lifehacker had a couple and even Ars Technica had one.

How big is the HDD and how big is the SSD? You could move everything to an external until the HDD space matches the SSD space and then just clone the HDD to the SSD.

You fucked up using auto aim and never using bullet time because you sucked at it. It's actually pretty damn fun once you skip all of the cutscenes.

I really enjoy my Mini. I wish it was more powerful and higher resolution and I'm pretty sure the Mini 2 does both. Great little media devices.

I never got the sense that Gone Home was meant to have any sort of challenge. It seemed to be a story based game.

I really don't think there's anything left to do with that style of DMC. I'll gladly take DmC2 instead rather than treading the same ground over and over again. I get that some gamers crave familiarity over new experiences but this series did what it did so well that I don't see why you can't just replay the older titles if you want that.

I only remember like 3-4 bosses and they give you so much time during their patterns that you can just heal while dodging whatever attack they're doing that you can't hurt them during. Sounds like it's time to change up your playstyle though.

I mean it's only been one issue. It was interesting but nothing too crazy yet outside of the general concept. Maybe wait for a trade? I feel a lot more excited about a bunch of other newer Image stuff than that.

I just finished Love Minus Eighty. Pretty great premise and was surprisingly entertaining throughout. A bit of cheese at times but I felt that the sci-fi edge made it easier to deal with. Overall I enjoyed it.

The people who are hardcore about these games in my experience only care about technical aspects. The more complicated it is the more they like it. DMC4 is a slog to play as the systems aren't fun, the story isn't fun, the way they use Dante isn't good, and Nero is a shitty character. DMC3, DMC1, and DMC are really the only things I consider worth playing in the series.

I actually have no idea what happened to different wallpapers on each monitor. I remember using it but the feature is like seriously not even there anymore on 8.1

Unfortunately, it's the worst game in the series after DMC2.
