  1. It's not magic unless people are turning into frogs. Sorry.
  2. I never read allcaps posts. In any case... My main character has 100 hp. Never put a single point into health. I get oneshot by EVERYTHING. Man up. =)
  3. Someone once told me friendship is magic. That's silly. Friendship can't turn people into frogs.
  4. The same thing that happened to the dinosaurs in games. We got a lot more of them
  5. Ice Storm... terrible? It's my go-to spell against clusters of melee enemies and stuff that is weak against frost. Now, I'll tell you what IS terrible. Blizzard. It's AWFUL.
  6. I like cloud saving, but the interface itself seems to be... meh, it's not awful, but I don't think it's good enough to justify having to re-learn it all.
  7. And for a lot of people, that's exactly what they want.
  8. The entire timeline discussion is an exercise in reading too much into things. Everything about the timeline is incredibly vague, and if you're championing one timeline theory, dismissing another for reading too much into it feels... not quite right.
  9. Pretty much, she and her boyfriend don't want people interferring. And just cooking for myself when there's leftovers would be a waste of food. We don't have enough money to start doing crap like that.
  10. Sorry, I just have a problem with the way "replay value" is being talked about a lot in gaming today.
  11. I can understand critizising it, but being disappointed implies you expected better. That's the part I don't understand.
  12. @TheCowboyPoet: I disagree so much about the Oracle games. There's nothing in the story indicating they are separate timelines. The backstory for ages/seasons requires a very specific condition that the triforce be restored to it's resting place and Ganon being dead. As I laid out on the first page, I think there's really only one place where this fits well. @Waldorf: They aren't considered very important and are often left to last in the discussion, and many people seem to just put them last in the time line as an excuse not to think about it.
  13. I think that's probably a big part of why huge games of this type has traditionally been PC-only - they've always had bugs. On PC, you could patch them. On console, you'd be fucked. Besides, there were bugs in the last generation of consoles as well. You just couldn't deal with it when they were discovered post-launch. It's pretty much impossible to release a game of this size without bugs. Hell, I don't think I've played any game without bugs. To be honest, I'm a bit confused that people were disappointed by Skyrim being buggy. Completely disregarding that huge games like these are always bound to have bugs, exactly what did you expect? Bethesda's track record has been less than flawless in this area. Personally, I was positively surprised by only encountering a single game-breaking bug so far.
  14. Isn't the title of this thread quite a contradiction? If someone is enjoying playing through a game several times, then surely it has replay value to that person? Even if the replay value only stems from the game being good enough to experience more than once, I think that should still count.
  15. Still living with my mother and there's almost always some kind of meal available, so I don't have a lot of opportunities to cook for myself. That said, I'd love to get better at it.
  16. I don't mean to disregard your post, Ethan, but I have not played Skyward Sword yet, so I'm not willing to read any spoilers. @Dean: Holy lol. Putting the Four Swords saga in it's own timeline is just an excuse not to think.
  17. The vocal minority always looks bigger than it is.
  18. After spending some time with TOR earlier today, I must say it's not nearly as bad as I expected it to be. I created a twi'lek sith and spent the first hour or so laughing at all the completely deranged things going on in the conversations... Until the game opened up and became more like a traditional MMO, at which point I completely lost interest. The combat mechanics do not feel good enough to hold the game up when it's not throwing story bits at me. Won't be picking this one up.
  19. You should all buy Cave Story +. Heathens.

Then it's well worth it! (Not that I've really chipped into extra features much... but Pixel deserves some pay for this amazing game!)

I shall not buy Cave Story +, because I have purchased both Cave Story WiiWare and Cave Story 3D. I believe I have paid my dues to this particular classic.

  20. The start of another day filled with walking around my small-ass town trying to find an electronics store that sells decent stuff.

This is the world's tiniest violin playing.

  21. You call 3:1 decent gold:weight ratio? I never pick up anything below 10:1 unless I'm planning to sell it. And even then, 10:1 is on the LOW end of the scale. We need an emoticon of a bunny swimming in cash, because that's how my character feels. I have probably 60.000 septims worth of STUFF in a "to sell" container in my Whiterun house.
  22. I despise Oblivion, felt FO3 was decent and liked New Vegas a lot. I think Skyrim is really quite amazing.
  23. And this attitude is why I often find this thread pointless. If you've already decided that pirates see their own actions as wrong, there's never going to be a dialogue. It's disrespectful and not conductive to a good discussion.
  24. You are pretty spot on. In reality, it's not actually the companies kicking me when I'm down, as much as it is these knight-in-shining-armor anti-pirates demanding I pay (and pay extra!) for something that the company clearly does not even have an interest in selling to me. If you want to make money off of me, then you need to put in the minimal effort to make sure it's not a pain in my ass to pay for your product. Otherwise I'm not interested. And so will consumers! Particularly the (goddamned large) subset of consumers that could be labeled as pirates.
