  1. For pure enjoyment: South Park: The Stick of Truth. While a problem when considering it for GOTY, the gameplay is simplistic but engaging. Do I even have to mention the story and characters? This game is a direct movie/show to game done right and god, it survived its hype which is rare for games to do. Shadow of Mordor is great too but the lore is shaky and I personally don't like how all the collectibles are thrown into my face. Knowing my nature, I tend to go after them all and I burn out from the game. The Nemesis system is awesome, yes, but it can't sustain the game for me. I actually can't play these Arkham-like games for too long without a good hook that isn't tied to combat.. I'm sticking with my guns and going with Wolfenstein: The New Order. Absolute great gameplay. While you should go murdering the Nazi bastards in true Wolfenstein fashion but if stealth appears to be an option then you damn well got that option. Also helping the cause is the story. It just fits Wolfenstein and it kind of humanizes BJ.
  2. In my defense, I was sick and delirious when I was watching it. I was personally shocked that I dislike it as much as I do. It's a Quentin Tarantino. I usually love his films. Isn't this the second or third time that I'm dead to you? I wish I could take back steam gifts, you don't deserve them! Shush now, enjoy Dubai...
  3. I don't think I played a Suda 51 game before so it's fine by me. Besides, I'm trying to find some quirky games to play and well, he's the guy to go to. However, this game is kind of broken or unless my 60 fps is fucking with enemy spawns. I got 24 enemies to kill in this mini game of sorts. Either its spawn is hidden but I cannot find the last bloody one (Edit: found him but still, my next sentence... WTF?). Not only that by some of my retries has me coming up short by 4 enemies. Most of these enemies spawn in by hitting boxes but it seems to be totally random if they will spawn in. I would think that it shouldn't take me many tries to finish the damn mini game, right? Also, downsampling is hit or miss. There seems to be shutter issues. Sad because the game looks great when it is sharp with little to no jaggies. Or maybe the graphic settings is fucked again and it is rendering at 720 instead of the full 1080. For tweaking, this game isn't hard to do but it sure doesn't play nice.
  4. Reservoir Dogs I just didn't like it. I don't know why.
  5. Killer is Dead Now why did they made a hack and slash game capped at 30 fps? It's pretty simple to turn it into 60 fps but you'll have to mess around with the settings to make parts of the game run properly (they're tied to the fps). Also I highly suggest validating the data after the installation due to the tendency for it to be missing 12 pieces of data that makes an early boss fight goes silent. Decent game in the end however.
  6. Hurrah! PC gamers can soon choose their favorite nepu while playing as their favorite nepu. I may not play the Neptunia and related games but I can only see this as a good thing.

    1. Saturnine Tenshi

      Saturnine Tenshi

I may have played three of them and, well, I don't really feel strongly either way.

  7. Maybe because it's (Rage) a new IP while Wolfenstein gets a home run after some alright games and because of its lineage.
  8. And they fucking redoing ODST campaign which I didn't think would see the light of day so fast. Now they only need to do Reach. Also I recall the problems for the MCC extended to single player with wonky checkpoints and shit. I guess you lucked out?
  9. Lili: Child of Geos A fun little game that looks great. It's a (well done) mobile port though so there really is no depth in the game but it is fun. Now how do I get the Zelda hat...?
  10. I think I'm just confused by the "Auto" option for the FPS option. The other option is 30 FPS lock. Other than that and some odd UI choices, it runs great on my aged machine (5-6 years old tech). I dare say this is the best Japanese PC port to date which also puts many Western ports to shame. This will sound lame but seriously, based Kojima Production. If you got some new parts, I say just blast it on max to see how it goes. If it runs fine, start downsampling.
  11. The Man from Nowhere This movie has like the best arch nemesis of sorts ever. This is what Taken aspire to be. Just watch it.
  12. Okay, I've gave the PC port a run. With my old setup, I can at least match the PS4 version. More tweaking to come on this front. The only thing so far is that it seems to be capped at 30fps (no big deal) and that the menus doesn't work with just the mouse. I can use the wasd keys to navigate and left mouse click to select though. So it's not all bad but there could be true mouse support. Also it is a bit awkward with M+KB. This and PP are going to be so amazing in a few years time. Max out the settings and downsample to get rid of all jaggies.
  13. Merry Wally came down my kitchen exhaust pipe to gift to me... Spelunky where the ghost of sacrificed pasts comes to haunt me if I hang around typing this for too long. Risk of Rain where I will deal with the planet of the grinches. Gunstar Heroes... is a classic. Lastly... Beyond Good and Evil. This is gonna be good. Thank Wally!
  14. If you put it that way, then no, GZ is not a bad place to start. It's a nice short game which showcase most of the game mechanics that will appear in Phantom Pain. As I've said before, it is a great demo. I highly encourage messing around to see what is possible. Don't expect Quiet shooting a grenade at a helicopter kind of thing though. Story wise, there is a recap of Peace Walker in the title screen so you'll be caught up with everything, chronologically.
  15. I really hope this calm right now is Sony going through the legal hoops to get the movie on many VOD platforms as possible (Like what FDS said). It be a good "Fuck you, NK" sort of thing. In a way, I think this whole event ties into the need for an open internet but that is another whole different monster topic all together. Come on Santa Sony, you can do it!
  16. If I wanted to, I could send my brother food or some thing via Amazon Now to his work place. I could buy him snacks for lunch if I order by 7 AM my time. WAT

Can you send me 2 western-style 1/2 lb burgers, a mega sized order of fries, and a Cherry Coke? I forgot my lunch at home.

  17. That looks pretty good actually but I imagine that would be a translation nightmare since it looks like its pretty deep into Japanese folklore. Related to this is that I recently found out that I can get imported games on the PS Store though older games and untranslated. Pretty neat I think. So interested in First Queen IV. Note, I believe the low scores is due to the games being quite dated and untranslated.
  18. New Xanadu got announced so here's a piece from the last game, the only one of the series that I've played. Odd, I don't recall much about the game but it does have an awesome OST.
  19. http://www.nuuvem.com.br/produto/2557-metal-gear-solid-v-ground-zeroes Ground Zeroes at about $9.30. This should work for all regions. For the US, use Paypal. For >$10, I think this is worth it.
  20. Okay Youtube, err Google, the shitty performance of Youtube forces me to switch to Chrome. Nice of you to make it so easy to switch too...

  21. But not evilly cunning enough to win a cyber warfare battle, apparently? Do you think we just lost a cyber battle to North Korea? Because it really seems like it was North Korea, a sovereign nation, who did the Sony hack. Unlike some punk kid, we can't exactly go bust into Kim Jung Un's bedroom. If they wanted to, they can really stall and mess with our lives if they felt like it. It is almost like they can step on us at any time. Personally I'm not too sure if I can dismiss this as just another hacking. I'm pretty confused honestly.
  22. If you want to play that card then being American is evil as well. The American thirst for energy drives most of our policies. With that, some of our elected leaders are willing to pay any price to quench it (Have you guys seen the Cheney interview?). But yes, I am willing to go into gas and oil. It is not high in my choices of things I want to do but you bet your ass that I won't deny that door if it present itself. I may not be able to do anything about the political/policy side of things but I do on the ground level. I like clean land and water myself. With that said, I rather go into academia or environmental assessment/consultation.
  23. http://money.cnn.com/2014/12/15/news/economy/2-dollar-gas/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 If I was a gas and oil geologist, I would be shitting myself. I guess I can try to extend my master term to three years... to wait out the storm if I want to get into gas and oil. Talk about bad timing on my part... seems like most of the transition from old to new people is happening way faster than I thought it would. BUT YEAH CHEAP GAS.
  24. Well, that was embarrassing. I lost to the first boss in FFVII.
