Revisiting the Yosemite area is quite fun with a background in geology. Granitic rocks are oddly quite dull though...

Geology was the only science I enjoyed in college(one of only two science classes I took.) Made a C+ in the main class and an A+ in Lab. Loved breaking open those rocks and labeling them...but when it comes to chemical/element composition. Fuck. Me.
Haven't been to Yosemite, but I loved going to the rock mountains(Garden of the Gods) after taking the Geology class.

Revan, if you sent me rocks, be sure to record sampling location, orientation and general outcrop description. Makes for better context to any samples, be they for research or pleasure.
Vecha, indeed. Know what potentially went down for the rocks makes visiting places a lot cooler. People may roll their eyes but it isn't unlike an engineer mentally stripping say a bridge, computer or building.

Oh, indeed. I learned a lot of how to collect samples by watching America Unearthed, no matter how bad the show is.

I can't say that I like last minute write ups of things related to my thesis... actually, I'm pissed off at myself.

Welcome to the 21st century HBO. Now take my money.

The issue then is how HBO would placate the cable companies that make a lot of money forcing folks into specific cable TV packages just to qualify for HBO.

This is gonna piss off the cable companies no matter how they do it though.

Fuck em. Cable companies have enough money already.
