  1. Spent a good hour or two listening to C-pop and older songs while I should be sleeping. To start, a classic that folks listen to and something else more modern I found that I like. More to come in the future.
  2. Watching it, the game feels so different. I haven't played Dark Souls yet by the way however, watching Demon Souls and Dark Souls streams, they both feel very similar. 60fps broke that feeling.
  3. Yeah, after seeing what it has done, I can appreciate just have evil powdery mildew is. I think if it is still hanging around, it can only get worst with the cold, rainy winter on its way. Not to mention the nightly fog. Bug wise, I seen a slug trail but no obvious sign of major damage. After eating tons of tomatoes as is, I find that I actually really like them that way. Cherry sized ones I can just pop in my mouth as a snack or I can enjoy a larger one like a plum/apple. So I'm planning on planting my own tomatoes next year. What kinds would you suggest, Revan? Space shouldn't be an issue since I will be using large pots.
  4. It has been years since I held a baby but main thing is to support the head without putting (too much) pressure on the top of the head since you know... there is no bone on top of there. Lets see, I held most if not all of my younger siblings, some of my cousins and some family friends' kids. Now most of them are in highschool or middleschool. As for being an uncle... 3-4 years. Awesome uncle time await most of us all I hope!
  5. After being away for a month, I come home to this: My weak ones exploded and my normal plant is rebounding with different shaped leaves. If you look closely though, you can see powdery mildew everywhere so I went on a pruning spree. I came up with this clump which I fed to my worms. With that all said, I got three more squashes in development. I may have three others, two of which you can see in the photos. Fun times. My mature squash may be about ready for picking. The stem is corking up. I'm going to wait a bit to see. So I guess winter planting is cancelled. Also, all my potatoes died. I may have overwatered them so they root rotted. I haven't check yet but that is my theory.
  6. Good AI, moving to a spot where you get stuck when I need to switch to them. Its just this boss too.

  7. Only one of the four came out in English and yes, they are all connected/sequels.
  8. Of all the Legend of Heroes series and games, seems like only two came out in English. Sad panda.

      TiTS is really good.

FOUR Legend of Heroes games came out in English!

A Tear of Vermilion, Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch and Song of the Ocean are the Gagharv Trilogy, and TiTS is the last English one. All four of them are on PSP.

Dig around on Amazon/eBay. Every single one of them is very, very, very good.

Oh, that is good to hear that at least one series is finished in English. Trails only has one.

  9. I knew it was high but not that high. There are a few thing that hindered the PS3 from achieving anything like its predecessors. $599. It may not be as much when accounting for inflation but that number was a sticker shock none the less. HDTVs. They were just starting to shoot off when the PS3 arrived. ????? (Maybe I'm missing a few) I think those first two points shouldn't be much of an issue now. Back when the PS3 came out, my family could only afford a 19" 720p TV. Now we got two 40+" HDTVs. I also personally have my own at my place. I think by now, most console folks will had gotten one. Onto the price, I think in another thread we all pretty much agreed that the next gen consoles will be much cheaper than $599. As of right now, I think Microsoft and Sony (I'm totally discounting Nintendo. Sorry, I'm just not impressed.) are more or less on an even footing with each other. I think what could really effect their sales is hardware failures. I really think the RRoD really put off people from getting the 360 for a while, I know it did for me until I knew it was fine or at least had a good warranty service in place.
  10. I was skeptical about the changes in Ys Seven but after 12+ hours, I like it. I just wish it was on home console or PC. Hand cramps are no good with the nub of a stick during a boss fight.

  11. My contribution to the topic at hand: I don't believe in popular definition of ghosts but it wouldn't surprise me if ghosts or more specifically spirits exist. Life itself is pretty strange. We may grow according to our DNA but for animals (Yes, I'm calling us animals), we can move how we like. Looking at us humans, we're the oddest of the bunch. Just look around you to see what we have done. This cannot just be all genetic. There's an extra layer and that layer is what I am naming with the place card of "spirit". But to be more on topic... I'm not sure if it can do creepy shit. Sucks if they do since I'm Chinese and we're notorious on how to deal with ghosts in movies... Examples:
  12. Before that system I would of expected to have to fight to unlock them in game. Many hours can be had by doing that. Sure it can be (very) frustrating but it can be rewarding. Very rewarding to the tune of this after landing the final blow: Full disclosure, I haven't played a fighting game in years so maybe they still do it but... eh. It would just seem odd to do both at the same time. If it is just drip feed, I would be insulted.
  13. Double Dragon Neon looks kind of weird. Must be the 3D mashing with 2D sort of thing.

Watching a stream of it... very Neon. Can I even call it Double Dragon? It seems to try to be every beat them up from that era.

Looks very DD to me, but AFAIK every beat em up from that era was basically a DD clone anyway. I wonder if the new one is enough for those without nostalgia? It is a game from an era when picking up weapons was revolutionary...

      fuchikoma

(or, clone of that family of games, which includes the Kunio-kun series... huh, guess that's no big surprise given the gameplay!)

  14. Xanadu Next Another Falcom game. Its alright. The art style and setting seriously gives me a Vagrant Story/Demon Souls feel. I can't say I like it since its so mellow. Gameplay wise it is slower than the Ys games and its easier. Music is typical Falcom Soundteam jdk with a mellower twist except for the last boss theme.

Related: http://themittani.co...ws/rip-vile-rat The person killed in the Libya riot was quite the Eve player and yes, the riot was due to that same film that caused the Egyptian riot. So what the fuck is this film? Edit: Found it and watched it a bit. Reaction: Okay...
  17. Xanadu Next is the only game I've ever seen to have an enemy able to level you down as an attack. Rage quit worthy. They should add this to Dark Souls. Glob it.

Old King Allant in Demon's Souls had such a move.

      Faiblesse Des Sens

^I was about to mention that from Demon's Souls. Dark Souls is casualized shit in comparison.

Oh, one of the most difficult bosses in the game? Don't mind if I lower your soul level a bit.

I never got to Old King Allant. Sort of glad that I surrendered after going deep into the swamp level.

  18. Apparently the batshit insane Pinkie Pie is of House Bolton. She is of a darker pink on pink, almost like the sigil of House Bolton. Anybody care to confirm or deny my claim?
  19. Alrighty, that is all I need to know. Consider Ys Seven bought after the PSN comes back online...
  20. Its indeed to piss easy to pirate on the PSP. Everyone I know who had a PSP did it. I also now inherited one from my younger brother. I have Ys Seven loaded but... I feel dirty. I do intend to get a Vita in the future so my questions are these... the account can be the same between all system, correct? So I can redownload Ys Seven to my Vita in the future if I get it now? I know you guys just finish discussing some changes with how many accounts you can have on a Vita so I wondering if anything I should know that I don't know right now. (And I feel like I am restarting my Steam collection)
  21. I recall Saturnine Tenshi mentioning this game on the status updates so I gave the demo a spin and it seems fun enough. The potential level of customization is impressive. I also got it to show support for NIS America and Japanese devs.
  22. So, I am watching a stream of this game. The protagonist needs an afro. He seems to be dressed to go to a disco.
