  1. I think the only significant thing that happened in that episode was that lady in the door, that only Amy can see. Other than that, just wasn't interesting enough.
  2. For those of you who bought from D2D or Steam, it seems the pre-loading is up.
  3. Well, as you can probably judge from this thread... Lay down ground rules. And set them straight with it. No beating around the bush, no "oh I'll just warn him this time!" If you're the one in charge of the room, or in charge of a certain item, make sure they know the rules about it. If you and your friend 'get each other,' that's nice. Pretty hard to find in itself. However, you also have to take into account any guests your friend might bring over. It helps to familiarize yourself with the type of people your friend hangs out with (not like meet them, but have a bit of knowledge about who they are). Also, some habits one of you guys may have, may not sit so well with the other, so it's pretty important to let each other know about your annoyances as you go along.
  4. Usually any establishment based around roommate housing has a sort of survey for you to fill out regarding what you're seeking in a roommate (ie. clean, tidy, good studying habits, etc). This might help you regarding your roommate, but some places have vaguer surveys than others. Well, at least it might help with getting someone who isn't an asshole, right?
  5. Well that was tense, but really that episode gave plenty of indication that was going to happen, for I think at least several minutes beforehand? I'm not sure. Doctor Who sometimes bordered on creepy, but it was never really outright scary as far as I see. And as for Amnesia, yea, that was a bad example. The Silents don't make very good enemies, in my opinion. As Thursday said, they have that creep factor, but to me anything that can get fatally wounded with three shots from a snub-nosed pistol just doesn't sit very high on the scary scale. Weeping Angels, in their pseudo-indestructibility still sit at the throne of scary/cool for me.
  6. You don't need to have a roommate to be a sociable person. Roommates are terrific people to be with if they share the same tastes and ideas. In general, if they're considerate that's already a step up from everyone else. I'm all for good roommates, but the stories about bad ones are far more widespread, and thus give roommates in general a bad impression. The only thing I'll say though, if you plan on living in a dorm: - Do you like quiet hours? - Do you like privacy? - Do you like being happy? - Do you like sleeping? - Do you like not being a cranky-ass dickhole all the time? - Do you like clean bathrooms? - Do you like good food? If you answered yes to any of the above, don't fucking get in a dorm. The main idea behind this is because its not roommates you'll be contending with, but instead your hallmates, or basically the people that live on the same floor as you. Unlike your possible future roommate(s), they don't give a flying fuck what you think, and they don't give a flying fuck if you call the cops/authorities on them - in general, if you're going to go against anything that's happening in the common area or the hallway between rooms, you're basically battling against a hivemind that's almost everyone but you. In this day and age, everyone in university likes to blare their music at 500% volume with maximum bass at all hours of the day/night, run around yelling "nigger", "fuck", "asshole", or some semblance of a combination of the three, like to bang on walls, never study, and turn the bathroom into a Toilet Paper Tornado. Being stupid is never normal, but in dorms it is.
  7. Doctor Who fits America's expectations rather well, I'd say. I really doubt they'll be censoring it or anything any time soon. I don't understand how Doctor Who is "scary." If DW is scary what would that put Amnesia at, the Uber-Verboten zone?
  8. Just take it back into your room, and say nothing. Watch as hilarity ensues. Maybe drop a "oh I dunno, maybe someone STOLE it" while glancing furtively at your lazy roommate.
  9. In general, whispering really creeps me out (in a horror setting). Obviously if its like two guards whispering to each other in Splinter Cell I'm not going to freak out.
  10. It really annoys me how every single time anyone mentions any free PC game someone ALWAYS has to throw out LotR Online.
  11. One of the best videos I've seen yet that summarizes my excitement for this game. At the very least, it'll help people get interested in it.
  12. I'm getting it on PC. It should give me something to do for quite a while.
  13. He's just absolutely appalled with Amy's actions in that episode. I found it slightly amusing.
  14. After watching "The Impossible Astronaut" my little brother is thoroughly convinced that Amy is stupid. Lol
  15. Anybody else pre-ordering it? Maybe we could all band up and do the campaign together, hehehe.

THIS STATUS UPDATE IS RETARDED I MEAN GOD SEIROUSLY DONT YOU C WHAT IS GOING ON

  16. I'd highly suggest replacing your, uh... chair. Consider an upgrade for it?
  17. It's looking better every single update in my eyes. Probably the one thing I'm getting for sure this year.
  18. I personally recommend starting with David Tennant's Doctor. I like to let people judge for themselves whether they appreciate him or Matt Smith more, when they finally get to the 11th Doctor.
  19. Innovative, Smart, business-minded. Choose two.
  20. No, I'm busy every weekday with work or classes (classes in the afternoon/evening, work in the morning). I only have weekends off, so every time something breaks I always have to wait a whole week before I can even get it checked. It's a pretty tiny wire, I'm not sure how I'll be able to fix it.
  21. I've considered quad core before, but I'd really rather not get it if I don't have to.
  22. Because if it fucks up you'll have to crack open a sealed case? At least it works. The advantage of having a sealed case is that no one can get inside it and fuck it up. Apparently one of the cables inside my PC, the one linking the power button to the motherboard, is now frayed, which is the reason why it won't turn on (which is a problem totally unrelated to the fact that my PC does not seem to be getting power... at all) which means I'll have to either bust more money for a new power supply (since the cable is hardwired into it) or bust more money to find someone who can fix it. I really doubt there's people out there who do repairs to wires this small, but I guess it's worth a shot.
