  1. Condensed milk is seriously underrated.
  2. Well I wasn't expecting it from Crytek, or any company for that matter... I mean, it should at least check if its running a legit copy of the game, right? I guess that ties into validation from the server, though. =\
  3. Just got the 10th level in MP on pirated copy. ... are you serious?
  4. That's my biggest flaw when it comes to anything artsy. I'm an ex-perfectionist, and it's hard to kick old habits.
  5. There's rumors flying around that cracked copies can even play online as well. And some of the more distant rumors claim that pirated copies can access servers, too. Probably nothing but hot air, but it doesn't change the fact that the servers don't validate. So much for designing with the PC in mind. But everyone should remember that Crysis 2 multiplayer was developed by Crytek UK (whereas the the singleplayer was developed by Crytek Frankfurt), so its a botch by a group that has no experience in PC gaming whatsoever.
  6. Again? Must be the aftershocks working again.
  7. I always thought it was supposed to be a funny toy sort of thing. You mean people actually take it seriously?
  8. Hitting around the Pacific... might be related to the activity on the Pacific Rim, maybe? It could be possible that the quake in Japan shifted some other plates, causing earthquakes in other areas.
  9. It's like I keep telling everyone: DAII was more of a prequel to DAIII than a standalone game. I've played it through at least three times now (one for each class), and it definitely gives off a feeling of a prequel. The fact that it was all technically a story through Varric's retelling pretty much cements that belief.
  10. I'm personally planning to convert to Scientology. Hope you have lots of money then, because that's how Scientology works. On the other hand, Scientology will turn you into an action movie star!
  11. They got a no-fly zone around the reactor now. If they can fix it, it'll be a marvel for everyone to celebrate for. And maybe we can use that experience to better prepare ourselves for future quakes! I think it might be partially because the reactor was 40-odd years old, but people say that it still held together fairly well.
  12. I live in California. I'm not sure how it is in other parts, but my region is severely in need of repairs.
  13. I see your point. I think it mostly lies in work ethic.
  14. Isn't that where the word "Armageddon" came from as well? It's supposedly the spot where the event that will end the Earth will take place, right?
  15. I don't see how it makes any difference. In America all they would probably do is seal it off and then wait several weeks to get notification from a repair company that they will need several weeks to fill out the paper work to make sure that in several weeks the repair equipment will be ready in several weeks that they'll be ready to make repairs with in ten years. And to anyone that says otherwise: Go drive on a freeway, one of the older ones, and count how many potholes you run through. Some of them are as big as a freaking tire. One of the junctions at one of my freeway intersections has been under construction for over a year. And all they've been doing is moving around dirt, ffs.
  16. Just curious, what power do you have as a contributor over the layout or distribution of your article? I don't see any problems if you just post snippets of your interview and linking it to the full one. Maybe if you ask the editor he'll let you do it; gives more meat to people who want to read it.
  17. Wow, you got quite the lineup of interviewees. Usually I expect no more than three in an interview, but you got five? Dang. Their opinions are pretty reflective on why people like FPS, and I do especially like their views on the correlations between gaming and violence. It would make sense that military folks above all else know best, and they definitely have the authority to say so.
  18. Well my (probably misinformed) belief about using seawater as coolant is that the radiation might spread back through the coolant out into the ocean. If it can do that. I don't want to end up contaminating the ocean.
  19. That's a pretty ingenious design measure. I have to honestly say I wouldn't have ever thought about using seawater as nuclear coolant.
  20. So I heard there were some nuclear power plants affected. >_> I don't want to end up playing STALKER: Shadow of Japan, thank you very much.
  21. Both Japan and the USGS have apparently settled on a magnitude 8.8 rating. Wow.
  22. I'm actually one of the few people who like BLOPS. It's the first Call of Duty I've played since CoD2, and its pretty nice.
  23. Just curious, is Nick Denton the sole proprietor of the Gawker network? Or is it a joint venture? I wonder what the shareholders are thinking right now.
  24. Considering the topic name is "Fucking Kotaku," I'm amazed you were stupid enough to say something like this.
