  1. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, got my computer back today. Was running fine... until I had to move it. I don't know if something came out or something, but I had my dad (who's done this before, used to do it as a profession) check it out. Now it won't even turn on anymore, and this fucking computer is starting to become WAY more trouble than it's worth. It's times like these where I can honestly see why the fuck people buy Macs.
  2. Yep, I'm in America. Not so sure about any of the i# series, I heard they can be a little fishy... regardless, my current motherboard is not compatible with the i# series, so I guess we can dismiss it.
  3. Er, anyone have a recommendation for a CPU? Preferably one less than $200, and not anything explicitly labeled with the words "Dual Core" as opposed to something like "Core 2 Duo," as I'm told that "Dual Core" is inferior.
  4. http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Gaming-Headset-G330-Black/dp/B002I3OZB2 I use this one. The specifications are a little bit down the page, but it's compatible with both double-prong and USB input.
  5. Hmm... why does Gamestop have the pre-order I want... damn it.
  6. It'll either fly or fall, and only time will tell once it happens. I'm really hoping they stick to the guns the manga's loaded, otherwise it'll seem kinda stupid to even do a remake, right? I'm also kind of worried with all the commotion in Japan, as well as the seemingly dropping series lengths (I think the average anime is down to 12 episodes now, with the exception of largely popular series), and I'm interested in seeing what company is doing this, and how long the remake will actually run for. I remember watching Rurouni Kenshin when I was a teen, then fast forward to around 2008 and me finishing the manga (reading it in a Borders). Mind was blown.
  7. I hear people in my dorm hall playing it. It was followed shortly by a ton of angry shouting. I wonder what they're doing?
  8. Are there any pre-order bonuses floating around for Brink yet?
  9. You could try mods, I guess... some mods add in spears, but they're basically only reskinned two-handed swords with an adjusted reach, I think. It looks incredibly awkward.
  10. Does anyone know how Tunngle works?

So what you're saying is that Tunngle is basically another Logmein Hamachi?

Sort of like that. It's like Hamachi without all the work required to set up your own connection room because it already has a bunch of 'em for you.

Well the way it works, apparently, is you log into certain chat lobbies of the certain game you're supposed to be playing, then you can play LAN with those people because the people in the chatroom are considered part of your local area net.

Nonetheless, the reasons for which I was using it did not work, so I scrapped it.

  11. What a great way to introduce children to the Doctor.
  12. Can everyone start minus voting my votes from now on? I want to see how far I can get!

Just start disagreeing with people. That should get you somewhere.

Well you're a horrible person, and you should feel bad.

      Am I doing this right?

You're trying to hard. It has to be subtle, like, "Well, I think Bubsy 3D is the best game ever."

  13. Yea, I noticed that as well. They keep talking about her spinoff series, I don't ever recall her getting one. 0_o Or maybe it's because they don't air it on BBC America.
  14. Part of it was - I believe the fourth phase, right after the world conquering phase. You design your own ship and then embark on a grand exploration of other planets. The scope of it is staggering, since you can basically fly through the entire galaxy, one star system at a time.
  15. I'm glad to see they're putting in the comic now, though. It was painfully annoying to play through ME1 all over again so I get everything down pat in ME2.
  16. I don't like Miranda, either. I think she's actually uglier than Ashley, now that I think about it.
  17. I'm already playing Spiral Knights right now, actually. It runs on an Energy system, and every dungeon you go into (and subsequently ever level you go deeper into the dungeon) costs 10 energy; the max is a 100, which regens entirely over a 22 hour period. One might say that this energy restriction prevents people from playing it fervently, but I think it's a great idea - playing casually really pays off in SK. Also, the drop system is done so that every currency or material item that drops in a dungeon, everyone gets their own, as opposed to the MMO standard of only one person gets it. People can also drop in and out of your dungeons if you set the proper settings, or you can run it solo/with friends. Also, in Spiral Knights, you don't level up - rather, your equipment does. As they do, it boosts whatever stats they have little by little, to a max level of 10. Like I said, its best to play it casual. A single run in a dungeon down to the first rest level costs 30 energy, so that's a little under 1/3 of the energy max gone in a single run. The crafting system utilizes energy as well; some cost as little as 5 energy to craft, while the higher tier items cost 50 energy to craft. Overall, I'd say its rather enjoyable - again, as long as you play it casually.
  18. Perhaps so, but Ashley's worked with them for basically the entire first game. To see her still carry those opinions even after working side by side with them is a little disappointing to some, including me. Hell, Navigator Pressly was able to overcome his distrust of aliens. I get it if she was still indifferent to them, but she still carries that phobia/hatred of aliens in ME2. Pretty much at that point I had no further interest to involve myself further with her. 'Sides, what are they gonna do, shoot us?
  19. Just to clarify, I disliked Ashley because I thought she was ugly as hell. The alien hate was a side effect, also because I almost always play soldier and she's basically a carbon copy of me. I'd rather spice it up with Tali/Garrus as party members. I do the heavy hitting, no one else.
  20. So Ashley finally let her hair down. I still don't like her.
  21. Hitman Blood Money. Almost finished with the game. Last mission is a ball-breaker, going back to previous missions to achieve Silent Assassin rating.
  22. At least it's not lupus, you know.
  23. I actually watched Vampire Knight once. But then I got bored.
  24. I guess I must piss you the hell off, 'cause I crack my joints like once every ten minutes. Especially my hands/neck.
