I watched Interstellar the other night. Was slightly marred by my unsuccessful attempts to make popcorn beforehand. Other than that it was a pretty good film, fairly plausible premise (in the whole dust/blight stuff. Less so on "handy wormholes start opening up". I'd see the tesseract stuff from a VFX reel/making-off (most of it was real apparently) but it was no less impressive. Quite enjoyed it heavily subverted the whole "robots will kill you all" trope most sci-fi films like this have (they were really super helpful throughout, extremely useful to have and seemed to care a fair bit. I liked the whole "humour setting" stuff and their references to it. "I do have a discretion setting Cooper". Yeah, great visuals, on top. Got Gravity to watch (and John Wick). Now I've a cool set up in my room to slide out this couch n pop something on my tele I'm probs gonna watch more films than I have been. Though PS4 might slow it down again now

Yeah, not super fussed on that one. I had noticed that my bundle could come with Destiny, but I enquired and it was an online only deal (and would still need the expansions). I'm not a Halo person so Bungie don't have the brand loyalty from me to see past their crappy statements of late for Destiny.

So this was on sale on GAME, and I figured it'd be a regular thing, just wanting to get rid of. So was quite surprised to open up my package today and find it was the limited edition steelbook.

So one PS4 purchase later and I have: Infamous: Second Son* Infamous: First Light* Final Fantasy: Type-0 HD* Entwined Flower Driveclub Mousecraft Rocket League Styx And on PSTV: Flower Entwined Geometry Wars Olli Olli Velocity Ultra Worms Revolution And the ones in * are the only ones I've gone out of way to buy. Rest are either things carried over to the PS4 (I think there's a few more than I've listed, I just haven't grabbed them yet), or from first month of PS+, so that's pretty cool. Should keep me going.

Oh I fully understand the workings of Stanley Parable, and I'm not saying it had "more story", but that the story it had worked in with the medium much better than Gone Home which was scraps of paper and audio littered around. Not much different than many mobile games thrown out for free on Amazon App Store. Chatting with some other folks we reckon cos I knew the whole is might have messsed things up for me. Though it's hard to not know, and it's not exactly much of a subtle thing. I guess I figured it'd be much more subtle n told in a much less traditional manner that actively used the medium (hence the Stanley Parable comparison)

Trying to get a hold of "The Death of Superman Lives". Nicolas Cage as Superman, and Burton doing a Superman is the reality of a different universe. We instead got Bryan Singer and Ghost Rider. Personally I preferred the more whacky suits they came up with, sheets of oiley-metalic plastic with embedded LEds n such, meant to make him "alien".

There wasn't even much of a story to it. It's maybe not good on Gone Home that not long ago I'd played Stanley Parable, which really takes advantage of the structure of a game to tell a story and weave a narrative in a fun and interesting way unique to the medium.

Beat Gone Home, took 0.8hrs according to Steam (kinda wish since they're measuring hours they maybe didn't use decimal). What a weaksauce game for all the palava about it. Was quite surprised when it rolled credits. Like...especially when you got the secret passageways. Figured that it'd massively open up. But...nope. End of day it's just an extremely simple point n click not even really any challenge to it. I've played android point n clicks (and there are many of them) with more depth n content to them. Pretty glad I picked it up cheap in the sale cos £15 is a bit of a piss take tbh. Ah well, something meaty to start tomorrow with the new shiny.

Yeah, not disputing that he looks bulkier, just that Bales is by most quite slim. The Dark Knight Returns Batman is the bulkiest of the lot Slim is usually reserved for the Robins/Joker with which to juxtapose Batman against. He's meant to be peak physical fitness, quite a muscley fella that can pack a wallop when he strikes. Even the thugs in Arkham Knight reference that he packed quite a punch as Bruce Wayne.

Even more when his cars lands on top of both of you immediately after. Batman was never really a hugely slim build. And he carries it well under a tuxedo as Wayne. His Wayne seems quite young mind. Especially considering this is a retired post-Todd Batman too. Unless his career only spanned a few years. His Batman does seem pretty menacing mind, quite a bit more "raw" than the almost Iron-Batman of recent Nolanverse n Arkahm Knight.

Deaths of Game of Thrones in pixel style. Spoilers obviously.

It's Batman v Superman. The original super hero versus the worlds greatest detective. It is an event never before put to film. If Marvel can make billions off b-listers like Iron Man and Thor, then of course DC are going to make money off the three quarter century old comic book heroes who are essentially this generations Jesus (in case you weren't paying close attentions to Snyder's high school symbolism in Man of Steel) The only problem is if fatigue starts to set in, and if folks are a bit wary of what'll be the 2nd film Batman in less than 10 years, in the same year as the 2nd reboot of Spiderman in just under 15. Oh and a wee little film called Captain America: The Avengers Age of Ultron: Part 2: Civil War around the corner from it. In general though it's trending well. I'm skeptical but I'm still gonna go fucking watch it. Suicide Squad less so. Still looks poopy. Warner Bros' reaction to it is equally poopy Corporate Corporate.
