  1. Yeah when I first heard about this I assumed a 3*2 grid, not like all of them overlaid on top of each other.
  2. I bought Stanely Parable yesterday, thought I'd posted about it, but I guess I'd chosen not to. (also I guess I've bought less than I've posted already since I refunded the Korra game...which is kinda annoying me now cos it's been accepted but the funds back into Steam Wallet are "processing" n have been for several days now)
  3. Being able to park from outside will be handy. Especially as my mum doesn't seem to understand basic left/right/stop/further/ or "3 foot....2 foot...1foot.." gestures.

    Steam

So article from guy who built the above https://medium.com/@galyonkin/some-things-you-should-know-about-steam-5eaffcf33218 Surprised that USA only accounts for 18% of Steam users, seems lower than expected though I guess PC is traditionally less of a thing there compared to Europe. Also UK users have more games which is weird. Like 4 times more than average. (which means I have 21 times the average :/) Also seems Greenlight is really fecking up with sales too (as in units than 50% off)
  5. Contrary to what I said? Not sure I mentioned anything about them? Anywho: Why'd Jon Snow wait 4hrs in line at the Apple store?
  6. I'm maybe not explaining myself clearly. I'm not talking about how Robert Treat his bastards, I'm talking about how Roberts bastards ere treated. As in like..by GRR Martin. Jon Snow being a Robert bastard doesn't quite fit in with how we've had all the other Robert bastards portrayed. It would be weird to have the rest all in various places around Kings Landing, then one just sent off with Ned post-war.
  7. I meant as in how all the other Robert basterds were treat by Robert. Usually left with the mum. Also assumedly all were listed in some way, hence the massacre n Ed chasing up on them.
  8. In case anyone is curious why I've not dived into the posting issue, it's cos I'm doing this this weekend: http://community.invisionpower.com/blogs/entry/9732-introducing-ips-community-suite-4/

    Steam

So ther's some funky stats if you're into that kind of thing: http://steamspy.com/sale/ There's quite a lot of ways to chew through the data. e.g most played game in the UK being Football Manager, in the US it's CS:GO.
  10. Given how all the other bastards were treated I can't see that being the case.

  12. New trailer. Gonna go hunt down some gameplay (assuming some was shown) There is a tech demo video though: All I care for in looks on this is it has good ceilings.
  13. You run 20m up and down the sports hall while a tape (I assume CD/MP3 these days) plays intermittent beeps which start at 60 seconds between, then get faster n faster. If you don't make it to the other in before the next beep you're out. It's used as a way of testing physical fitness.
  14. Realised that "liar, liar, pants on fire" is much more severe over here than in the US.
  15. Oh I apparently didn't add in the: "If she was younger I might pencil it in as "special snowflake syndrome" that seems quite prevalent on parts of Tumblr, as Mister Jack has sort of exampled. Which is pretty shitty as it sort of...belittles(not the right word but best my brain can dig out) actual gender dysphoria and transgender. Poes Law doesn't help things." I'd say there's a deeper issue if she feels the need to "identify as black" to head a black equality group. You don't have to be gay to head a LGBT group but it helps.
  16. Yeah the bleep test was horrible. I wonder if they still do it these days. Okay, had a wee google, and the list of "users" on the Wiki page is military forces, rugby teams n emergency services. And this is a test used on kids.
  17. I'd seen something on this crop up on Twitter other day but didn't really follow up. I'm not really sure I know enough about this but from what I'm reading up it seems more of a kind of "to make a point in a discrimination case", but I might be missing something? (Or Beeb are at least). It seems to me like if I claimed to be Geordie. As parents have stated there's no black roots in her ancestry, just a bit of native american though she's claiming otherwise which is maybe a bit of a sticky issue (I think over here it'd be fraud if you incorrectly filled out the census on anything but religion questions). Given at the end of the day there shouldn't be any discrimination based on race it shouldn't matter what race she biologically is*, so it's largely claiming to be culturally black in the way I'd claim to be a geek. (But I know Race is a whole other ballcourt in US, so to be "transracial" would likely be upsetting some status quos) *apart from on a medical standpoint, which can lead to some differences in how you respond to certain drugs and such.
  18. So this popped on my radar as an Android thing but I thought the Xbox One implementation was kind of interesting: http://blogs.windows.com/bloggingwindows/2015/06/16/cortana-expands-the-role-of-the-digital-personal-assistant-by-coming-to-xbox-one/ I doubt it'll work as smoothly as it implies in the screenshots, would need a database behind it and I'm not sure such exist for games (maybe for MS games, but unlikely for others)
  19. So I only own a 2DS and don't much care for that so didn't watch the E3 presser for Nintendo. I guess they've figured at this point might as well do anything, no one much cares. But yeah, I'll have what they're having.
  20. Trailer. Also updated the thread name now we have one.
  21. Looks to be much of the same which is good. Was surprised by how much I liked Tomb Raider. Just gotta wait a bit for it to hit PS4 n PC I guess.
  22. I used to wear "poverty pumps" then. I think it was kind of a set thing for PE kits just kinda brought everyone to the same level compared to some kid having like Shoezone trainers n others in the latest "three stripes" (similar for the whole idea behind school uniforms. Everyone has access to Tesco n Asda)
  23. Since I know it's a fairly global show at this point but out TV news is not always your TV news: Chris Evans is new head host of Top Gear. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-33158464 Not Captain America. He's a pretty good presenter, currently hosts BBC Radio 2, used to have a chat show called "TFI Friday" back in the day too (which had a one-off return last week, though I've not given it a watch). Personally I'm pro-Sue Perkins being on. She's pretty cool. Also a history of chat shows n currently one of the main hosts of Great British Bake Off.
