  1. Yeah liking XII is pretty dang acceptable. It gets a bit windy towards the end and a bit political compared to others it's quite neat. And yeah it's off the back of FFXI so does play a bit like a singleplayer MMO which I kinda liked.
  2. Uncharted 4 Pretty much paused for the night the other day and turns out I had like 10 minutes of game left (then a while of the epilogue stuff). It's a game that maybe was a little bit too long, it kinda felt like it was 2 uncharted games long. And the opening is a bit all over the place with both the mid-game boat chase (similar to Uncharted 2 start on the train), and then bits about Panama prison from 15 years prior and then bits of the orphanage as kids. I was slightly bummed that there was no ghost pirates considering the pedigree of the series so far. It was fun and all, and super pretty but from a story perspective it felt quite unnecessary. It also changed a lot of the controls too, which after blasting through 1-3 was a bit jarring to find that suddenly reload is instead of R1. Anywho, not super sure what's next. Technically I've P5 near the end. I messaged my sis about swapping Uncharted with her for RDR2 so maybe that'll be my next title.
  3. So some of the gifs that are coming out? I did hear a good remark actually that this is a better "feminist" scene than the ..well that scene..since it's got the male and female characters on equal footing of abilities, helping each other out fighting side by side. And both have been in from the get go unlike much of the ladies in the A-Force shot. Though she does only have 70% of the energy output of Iron Man.... And I know there's the "I Am.." gif kicking about too but be a bit too spoilery to post. Wish companies would get on the ball with sharing official gif sets. Also what's an NDA?
  4. I think there's several options I'm sure Homecoming is spoiler-free at this point so safe to point out that Vulture in the comics is a cooky old guy and here he's an alien-scrap thief. They've also switch the Skrulls up as well. They've changed enough that really the comics can only give us a rough guide on what to expect and that's pretty much just powers and abilities. Back stories and affiliations are all new to the MCU.
  5. So this answers a lot of folks questions and theories. Also how the fuck have they made fishbowl head look kinda cool? edit: remembered that today is the "official" spoiler-end as per the directors and that kinda lines up well with this trailer releasing today.
  6. Off from Endgame a bit. This is a really damn good scene, even outside of MCU-ness. Now the trick is, do you know the scene before clicking play.
  7. That's a lot of craftsmanship for candy floss. Video description says it's 50rmb or ~$8.
  8. So just came from my second viewing. Was delightful, especially sat next to a recent convert (he'd fallen in the camp of DC being good cos Nolan stuff and MCU was popular hogwash. That changed about a year or so ago. I think got him to watch Ragnarok). So I knew most of the beats, and loved his gasps and whispered guesses as they were coming up. Anywho had a thought, one I'd had last time but forgotten
  9. Uncharted 1, Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3. AKA The Nathan Drake Collection Already beaten these on PS3. IIRC a bunch of us played UC2 MP back in the day. Fun times. My main thing was I was bummed that a bunch of the stuff wasn't unlocked right away (so no Doughnut Drake), and also "Easy" didn't seem like it had changed much at all on difficulty, plenty enemies took just as much effort to take down as I remember. Though I did only die once in Uncharted 2 against Lazarvic but could just be skill (heh). Uncharted 3 while having more "heart" I'd say is still the weaker of the series. Uncharted 2 still pretty damn great (aside from the end). Really like the broad range of areas you're at from jungles, to cities, to trains and glaciers. And it has Nazis. A must have trope for archaeology-adventuring genre. Now onto Uncharted 4, which does the cardinal gaming sin of changing all the controls on a new entry of a series. Even worse when I've come right off the PS3 games. edit: oh yeah cos it was Easter school holidays had my sisters over and they "helped" tad on 1 and 3. Pointed out I had at least Uncharted 2 for PS3 in one of the rooms at theres, so maybe they'll dig it out and play in full. Even my mum all "come on, gotta go before the shops shut" mode got a bit engrossed helping solve a puzzle
  10. It was pointed out that Zemo is still around and could form the Masters of Evil. There's a few former bad guys still alive despite the MCU penchant for killing off their baddies. Don't need a galaxy spanning threat. Though if you do there's still Supreme Intelligence kicking about. And the likes of Annihulus can be brought in; negative zone is easy enough explanation to bring in now "quantum realm" is firmly put in the MCU (which has the microverse which I think might be a thing soonish). And defo if they bring in FF. And bear in mind this is the end of Phase 3. Could build up until Phase 6 easy. Also not like the comics had Infinity Gauntlet and went "well I guess that's that then".
  11. But shouldn't! (IMO). The credits sequence, especially for the main cast, is really quite nice and tbh I think you'll probably want the sit down for a bit to kind of process rather than just pushing out the door in a hurry. As for noise literally saw in in a Vue cinema with no problems. Mark Strong sternly warns you before the showing so you damn well do as he says. But even in cinemas without Mark Strong never really have any issues. Gonna be one of those "stereotypes based on reality" type things. Laughing is about the only major noise you're gonna get, and certainly no whooping and hollering. It's not a participation event.
  12. @Mr. GOH! Also every time the "American audiences whooping to the screen" seems like a silly media trope but sure enough you guys always referencing folks shouting at the screen n shit.
  13. So I saw it last night (or more correctly; super early this morning). So yeah don't click on any of my spoiler things cos. I guess generic review: reviews are pointless, you'll either see it or you won't. No one at this point is "on the fence" for seeing the Infinity War sequel. SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS edit: Also I memed. It kinda popped in my head on the walk home. Probably only seems funny at 4am.
  14. The main issue is one of those was Justice League, which should have been a much bigger spike than it was.
  15. Some of the top franchises of the last 20 years. You really get antsy for seeing 2008 pop around. As someone said in the comments "2007 is when the other films heard the boss music but couldn't see the boss yet" https://www.reddit.com/r/dataisbeautiful/comments/bgf3ye/oc_franchise_earnings_comparison_over_20_years/
  16. So in 24hrs I'll be in the cinema lobby queuing up for Endgame. What's everyone's predictions? But yeah what are yours.
  17. As for the digital queues; stupid but it does kinda work around (a little bit) the DDOS element of tons of people jumping on to buy tickets.
  18. Same here. I wonder if it'll end up like the Amazon App Store where they used to give away a bunch of "premium" apps on the daily and in the end for myself after a few phone moves I figured to get the apps I liked using...on Play Store (cos setting up multiple app stores in't painful but is a faf. And the Amazon App Store was quite clunky). So it's quite possible that that in the long run, especially if Epic don't bother developing the functionality of the store and rest on their Fortnite laurels, folks will just gravitate back towards Steam. I'd imagine at this point proceeds from that games sales at this point are maybe in the few thousands.
  19. Wasn't aware was Karl Urban. Which is sort of a double edged sword for me. I kinda like Karl Urban, but you're not really meant to like Billy. He's kind of a definition of an absolute bastard. (but similar to Preacher they might rejig things around for the show). It amuses me that Hugh isn't played by Simon Pegg.
  20. So I think it's fairly well known a lot of the internal references in Shaun of the Dead (especially the "two at the princesses, bite at the kings head, then shamble back here for shots" foreshadowing). But there's a ton of super smaller references to other films, especially zombie/horror.
  21. Seems kinda interesting, clearly in the concept stage still, I wouldn't trust the bare sockets as they are now. Not 100% sure on the use case of this mind except some travellers maybe. I guess being USB powered does mean you only need the one power socket. Shame it's replicatable by pretty much any small "raspi" type screen. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2055222119/topo-gamepad-mountable-screen-play-anywhere
  22. Far Cry: New Dawn A decent "small" game, tickled the right spots. Only major gripes are it's quite blatant on how it drags out the game with the bases being repeated (but kinda like that it means they're not one and done like previous Far Cry games, while not just respawning on its own like in FC2). Kinda fun to see "old" locations and people. A bit awkward to be helping out the guy you spent a bunch of the last game battling. Final fight was shit, it's a bit like FFIX where you have the expected fight (the twins) followed by an unexpected fight and meant I was in a cave with a super strong beastie and I'm equipped with a sniper rifle (for when I was battling twins in a burning village). But I managed to get through it (thankfully had a double jump skill and a shotgun and, as long as I was quick enough to interact with the pile, unlimited ammo). Now for the 'fun' task of finding next game, might jump into Slim Rancher. Or wrap up Persona 5 before diving onto Uncharted.
  23. Less a speculation and more of an "The Emperor is defo in this".
