Android version (Free baby, yeah). I'll maybe look into it. But as far as zooming goes it tends to be fixed on a level-by-level basis. Some will be quite close in, and some will be kinda zoomed out.

Oh yeah fighting games. I'll play them, Used to kick my cousins ass in Tekken 3 back in the day, and got banned from DC vs Mortal Kombat in our old house (Folks like Minty would probably kick my ass, I just had the advantage that while they played 'properly', because I was the main gamer of us I could memorise and input the combos faster and more accurately than they could). But I'm not interested enough to go seek them out or buy any myself. Certainly not enough to get sticks or such.

Yeah my first move in trying to get it working would of been to go to the site and check for any updates. You want to give them a spin? Report back (Since I'm somewhat interested in DS3 working on 64-bit windows)

Well considering there's so few games that give the option I'd give a hat tip to a dev who allows it. Fable handles it all rather tastefully. Your'e essentially Bi, the NPC's are straight or gay, and if you want you can woo opposite and/or same sex, get married n all that. It doesn't make much of a fuss of it and I'd imagine they were more on the fence of it being offensive to only have opposite sex relationships. Also being a british made game I don't think it had the same "What would conservative America think?" process put into it's design. Considering (hey it's Bioware once again) where they just came out and flatly said 'Commander Shepard is straight. End of, you shall have no say in it'. Which was somewhat disappointing. Gays I think will get substantially more tasteful over time. Especially as they're quite a sticking point at the moment in civil movements and the Pink Pound is very powerful. You don't have to go all out, but just an NPC gay couple in the game that are just treat as a regular couple. It's quite simple to do. Just make sure you don't make too big a thing of it. Because otherwise you draw attention to it, it's a big marker pen around it saying "This Is Different, One of these things is not like the other" @Jack : http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Veronica_Santangelo I didn't know she was gay (I have a male character so I guess that's why it's not being brought up. The Followers doctor dude is though.) I have here n Cass tagging along. Cass cos she has a cool, and relatively simple quest chain (Kinda 2/3 chains I guess). And Veronica cos she's death on legs and...kinda looks like a girl I had thing for.

I've being playing it quite heavily last few days. It's somewhat annoying that it's start is bugged (it plays the tunes n such, but had a small segment of the floor.. at the top of the screen), so I have to make sure I don't close the app and just run it in the background. switching over when I want to play it. I think my little sister(s) will like playing with it a bit. At least the early levels. Though some levels make the birds a bit fiddly small. Which I guess would be one of my gripes. You can drag the map around to see the length, and the pigs castle. So when you're firing a bird, most of the time it tracks it but sometimes it doesn't follow it 'off screen' all the way. So instinctively you go to drag the screen. Then accidentally set off the bird bomb :/

October: http://www.motioninjoy.com/ When was the last time you visited the site? Have you not got upgraded installers?

Alyx Vance is Afro-Asian and as far as I know there's not much stereotyping with her. Half-Life handled it all fairly well. I would say she seemed a bit whiter than I would of expected of someone of african descent. She doesn't seem much as a child of Eli. As for gays unless you make a huge point of it and have the character looking to fabulous, then you wouldn't much know. Back to Half-Life again I think Gordon Freeman may be one of the most tasteful depictions of a gay man in all of gaming. Zevran was once again another fumbled minority by Bioware. In the camp most of the conversation topics were about how much he fancied you. Almost from the minute you meet him, he's flirting with you. Yet everyone else works with a pretty slow relationship. But since I think the sexual relationship bit was just hammered in for the hell of it I'm not surprised it was handled so badly. I'll maybe think of more.

Have you being through their FAQ? I've not followed it closely or tried it for a while since I got the 360 pad but last I looked he had a post up about finally shelling out for digital signing certificate so it should now work on 64-Bit Win7/Vista (for the longest time it was 32-bit only due to 64-bit needing the digital signing to install hardware/drivers) How are you connecting it? It doesn't work on all bluetooth adapters.

I would point out there are stereotypes for a reason. So it's not always a good idea to go "Hey black guys like sports, let's make sure we don't mention sports with this character" cos as pointed out with Cole it's entirely relevant. Of course you do want to stay away from having Cole mid-game start discussing how much he wants some fried chicken. Racist stereotypes are worth steering away from. I think you'd probably have just as many complaints if you .... 'normalised' all your characters. Then folks would most likely complain you're whitewashing. Stereotypes also allow you to quickly flesh out a character. Of course since games can have many hours to play around with compared to films they shouldn't have to. But since most games are still written by Frank the Intern during his dinner break the writing is still pretty shitty regardless of how long they have to properly develop characters. Anyway as for examples: Mass Effect 2 was pretty shitty considering the rest of the crew. Token black dude I can't even remember the name of. It's like they just slapped him in just so they ticked off some checkbox. GTA4: Niko n Roman. From Eastern Europe. Bit stupid. Niko doesn't know how the big city works. Is somewhat naive and easy to manipulate because of this. Sazh: Dude carries a FF chicken around with him. Maybe not the best choice. However his character does get fleshed out quite well and he's one of the better characters in that game. You get quite sympathetic with his plight. Also I second the recommendation of Extra Credits

We don't know. Probably something on your end since there's several folks on at the moment who are invisible. edit: Also is it just me or has the Status box gotten wider?
-
Not really. That's just wallpapers. This thread isn't for us sharing wallpapers.

You need to host elsewhere. Apparently we don't have permission to access that file. Actually no, it used to be much more cluttered then that, but I cleaned it up because the clutter bothered me. Everything I launch with any regularity is either pinned to the taskbar (Chrome and Thunderbird) or is on my commonly used programs on my start menu, or in the case of games I use Steam to launch them (even the non-Steam games). The desktop is the least efficient way for me to access programs because then I have to minimize things to get them out of the way. It's faster just to use the start menu/task bar. I was joking . Mostly at you using one of the default theme sets.

Well I definitely wasn't over healed. I wouldn't exactly know where I was stabbed since it does the whole fancy animation jig when you are. (Which has cost the life of a couple other assassins when they do it to someone next to me and I just turn and kill them while the animation plays out. Note to developers: Yeah flamboyant animations look cool. But FFS don't put them in an MP game)
-
Yeah forum has a few fancy tricks up it's sleeves that I guess can sometimes be annoying. It's meant to automatic turn images into img embeds too. For some reason that doesn't work.
-
Not hurt, wouldn't matter since Assassin does one-shot kills. Not lag either since this is from after I fixed my lag problem.
-
Bear in mind I'm discussing the PC version, which from what I understand from what Ethan has said has already had a few tweaks to the loadout already. As it stands a assassin can make a beeline for a gunner, along the firing line and be alive to make the killing blow at the end. Which to be frank is pretty fucking shitty. Regarding game pads: @Jack: I didn't have problems. Only problem I had at the time and for that reply was that I couldn't find the pad. I'd say the main issues with it are just shitty porting problems like the pad not controlling most of the main menu. In-Game I've not managed to have much play with it Just a skirmish in SP with Assault @Brida: Yeah I'd say it's aimed for Pads. The action skills are kinda hard to pull off. If it was only two it'd be fine, but as it stands they're mapped to Q, E n Shift. I should maybe map them to my mouse in future, but you'd think they'd do that in the first place. As I said to Jack, at the moment it's just your regular shitty Port issues.

Hey man. That's right from the horses mouth:

You should learn how to play with a keyboard and mouse...expand your play!

So I found out why I was getting horrendous lag (Let's just say that my 360 pad wasn't the only thing plugged into the 360. ) It's still pretty bad but I managed to get into a sub-100 ping match today. Played alright. I'm gonna say the Assassin needs mega-nerfing(Mostly health). And maybe the Gunner should live up to his name. Could maybe do with a few more maps (I think there's like 3 at the moment and the SP arena) and maybe some bigger ones on top of that. Tank needs his weapon augmenting to make it obvious he's a short-range fighter. The beam thing goes on for almost ever but it's only reading the Playbook that you find out that it's not a bug that's causing it to only do damage at a short range. tl;dr :Games still in beta for a reason.

Yeah I always have a Linux LiveCD for such occasions. Just pop it in and override any issues with Windows. Awesomeness on a small plastic disc.

Heartless did you try linking them with the Add Link button?

Why are the emoticons going faster than they used to? Or is it just happening to me?

But Undead Nightmare is Standalone. Awakening I'm not 100% on. (And that's an expansion pack not DLC.) So upto now my replies are from Briuda 'my use of the world DLC is different from everyone elses', who says it's DLC and works standalone. So for all I know she's saying that it's Downloadable and standalone, not DLC for BC2. Then you saying it's not Standalone then naming a game that is as an example.
-
So if I was to add it to my basket now and buy it I'd be able to play it without owning BC2?
