  1. Well those Linux guys don't have any other games to spend their cash on so they can be quite forgiving Those Mac guys are always over paying too. Prices are therefore as expected
  2. The PC version launched with a variety of issues. I think one of the main ones was to do with a really shitty frame rate. Basically yeah it shouldn't of had issues, but for some reason Team Meat launched it with issues. They were fixed in a few days so I guess no harm, no foul but still.
  3. We've enabled a way that you should be able to invisible your post. Seeing as there's no limits on deletes Tali feels folks could abuse it and there would be no way for the moderation team to see if anyone had being provoking. This way the posts are still there and the mods can pop up, or reverse the choice. We also have a count on the index which says '## posts in queue' so we'll know. However do not abuse this function or you will be reprimanded and we may switch it back off.
  4. http://www.humblebundle.com/ Notch is the highest paying individual at the moment with $2000 paid. Some shitty mac developer has put in $1000 for an advert along with another two sites. Robert Bowling (Infinity Ward dou..dude) has put in $500, he was at one point the highest until RockPaperShotgun trumped him As for Cortex Command, I don't know. I've had a reply but it says it should work fine, so I'm gonna reply back, they wanted to know what system I'm on. edit: Seems the problem was on my end. Seems out of all my games Revenge of Titans was the only one that downloaded correctly. Machinirium wasn't the only one that fucked up.
  5. Yeah that's pretty low stats for a current game. The 7800 is on par with the PS3 GPU.
  6. Well it seems to have become 'other things' with a game thrown in. I'd say sticking it in Off-Topic didn't help. But don't worry I stepped in on that one.
  7. Nah I'm jsut listing those 'types' of comic book movies. After a couple years of 'alternative' comic book films you'd think that they might be up with trying new. The new bunch even includes a spiderman reboot which is hilarious after we've already had the Hulk reboot 5 years after the first hulk reboot. Are they making these films for fragile 80 year olds? Do we really need reboots n pumping out of dozens of Marvel n DC comic book heroes in such a short time? I'm sure some of us could wait 10-20 years. At this stage they risk running the idea of comic book films into the ground irreparably. King Kong was a good model for reboots. (ffs this is the third time Iv'e written this carry on refreshing the page accidentally and this forum seems to hate chrome built in systems for stuff like that. So I have to completely re-write it each time. Last time I'd got to the 10-20 years before I got to submit)
  8. A good punisher movie? From Marvel? It's not so much the studio, but the concept of the 'hey they save the world, everything is awesome' kinda comic book superhero that's getting old hat. We've had them now for over a decade, we need something new but it seems that they're now putting them into a new push with Thor, Iron Man, Spider man reboot, First Class, Capitan America, Green Lantern and culminating in The Avengers. Which Voldermort, The Bride and James Bond already made in 98 and shown it can't be pulled off.
  9. Anthony Hopkins looks a bit too silly with that eye piece. I know what it's for, but it jsut looks stupid. The visuals all look kinda nice. But I think I'm getting bored of super hero movies. I'm looking forward to Captain America purely for Hugo Weaving as Red Skull. Watchment and Kick Ass were the kind a 'superhero' films that should of shown folks like Marvel that their kinda sucking and silly. Nolan North has being putting the cherry on top with the 'hey look at me, I make fucking awesome comic book films. And they're semi real' Iron Man is close to that. But the rest?

    Steam

Yeah the Just Cause 2 demo was very shitty. I picked it up later el cheapo and it was fa and beyond the expectations the demo gave. Shitty demo's are shitty. Which is why I pirate
  11. So any games or gaming accessories that you've picked up post them here. Pre-orders too. Since I hear so much good things of the 360 version, and since £9 for a MP only shooter is always a nice price. I've got the pre-order of MNC. The Beta next week helps sweeten the deal.

    Help!

Some of us have a thing called sleep. And as far as I know, no you guys can't delete posts. What's with 'accidentally' double posting anyway? The posts that are double posted are different from each other so it's not a case of hitting Post one too many times and it coming up several times due to lag or something. I assume you guys can all edit as I've seen self-edits on a couple of posts. The edit function is very nice on here actually.
  13. Ethan I think it may of being important to point out primarily 'games you buy'. Unless putting this in Off-Topic it was your intent to have a thread where ever little minutiae of what we buy, which will be alot, get's posted?
  14. See Water of Mars was good. But it seemed like a rushed out concept RTD had with the whole 'Time Lord Victoriuos' thing. the Doctor trying to become master of time, affecting events just because there's no one to enforce the rules n such. I think it would of done much better if developed over a season.
  15. I'm off to bed. My I suggest the Kotaku Off-Topic post/How is this news, which i believe goes up in about an hour, as a good place for someone to do a bit of adverstiing. Periodical #speakup helps too. And TAY(the 8am tottilo post) is always is great.
  16. I need one. Being needing it for a few weeks, was meant to get it done a couple weeks back but the snow hit. So I'm getting it cut when I go back home (bonus of your mum being a ex-hairdresser I guess )
  17. Oh in looking over Sindo's I should point out my green flash thingy wallpaper isn't Green Lantern related. It's from when I was messing about with photography(something I should get back into). It's looking at the sun through a green beer bottle.
  18. Well not a special. They just tend to run them around about now. Harry Potter films seem to be becoming a Christmas thing too.
  19. Well there's always the Wallace and Gromit. Despite it being on almost every year I've still not seen The Great Escape (I assume there's something in it Xmas related for it to be a 'Xmas movie') Home Alone's never lost it's charm. Doctor Who is a big one for me in recent years. Most of the 'specials' around here tend to be on New Years. Got the Big Fat Quiz of the Year, Jools Holland, and the countdown as well. But yeah Xmas is mostly movies, Doctor Who and the Queens speech, which we tend to pass over.
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loSzpvq73FY I was forwarded this a couple days ago. I'm still unsure if the guy is faking it or on something while playing.
  21. The Halo one would be good if it was missing the logos on the bottom. I hate that. If you've gone to their site to get the images you obviously know of the game, why would you need to have their advertising splashed across your screen?
  22. I wouldn't say sports is very entertaining .
  23. Just post in Off-Topic then we'll see where it goes from there. Can always make more room later. I've personally only seen sports interest from you chew and Yante. The World Cup was about the only time everyone got involved.
  24. So just a place to share wallpapers and wallpaper resources. Here's my selection, in various sizes (I've had a few monitors over the years, though prefer to get the highest resolution possible, which always allow for future proofing) as well as a few dual-screen suitable set-ups http://www.dropbox.c...papers?h=e4302f (reminds me...) And here's a nice archive from Gnomon http://www.thegnomon...bies/wallpaper/
