  1. I thought about Locke but figured thief would suck.
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATCdTY-W0bo I've never played FFXI, but I'm told that is Prishe. There's also Aerith as a support character now, and Gilgamesh seems to be coming as at around the 5:30 mark, he can be heard saying "long time no see, bartz" from the Void.
  3. I like to try new stuff, but it comes to no one's surprise I mostly play JRPG's.
  4. Even his idol Gackt sama isn't staying young forever... Actually, he kinda is.
  5. As long as it's the comic Bane and not the one out of that crappy movie. At least the comic one was smart enough to break Batman's spine.
  6. So the villains have been announced: Catwoman and Bane. The villains of Christopher Nolan's third Batman movie will be Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, and... Bane, a 1990s 'roid freak who shattered Bruce Wayne's spine in the Knightfall crossover. Anne Hathaway will play Selina, while Tom Hardy will play Bane. From i09.
  7. I can't see a Final Fantasy without magic, so how would XIII-2 work considering their magic is gone with the her not being a l'cie anymore?
  8. Oh goodie, because I'm currently in my Izaya phase.
  9. I'm not saying that it's just here, but like a general consensus. People love Cloud, but hate Lightning though she's just a rehash of him. Hope is an emo brat with issues about letting go. So's Locke and Squall, and yet they manage to stave off hate.
  10. As the sole person who actually enjoyed XIII in its entirety, I can say I will probably buy it and enjoy it. Now to copy paste. I feel RPG fans are being ridiculous towards Final Fantasy XII and XIII. First, you want a wider more open world, which XII gave you. However, you complain about it, and want a more closed in environment. Then XIII comes out and you get all pissy about it. Fucking impossible to please. Everyone also complains about the battle system because it's different, but it doesn't make it a bad thing. I found the Paradigm system to be fluid and interesting... though I still like the ATB system of old. XII's gambit system isn't bad either, but I think people just want to complain. Then there's the character complaints. Want to complain about FFXIII's characters? I mean, Cloud is a fan favorite and Lightning is essentially just a female equivalent. Hope is a whiny bitch? So were like 20 other people in the last 5-6 games. However, you loved those games. It's irritating to constantly read it on Kotaku and other gaming sites.
  11. I was not sold on C. Viper. I still can not bring myself to like her or care because she looks weird.
  12. In all honesty here though folks, who here has never trolled a person?
  13. It's a general term now Nihil chan. Get over it and stop being a dick.
  14. Seriously, you should be talking about anime. Aside from Durarara!!! I did like FMA. The manga was pretty good... I never really liked the one they showed on Cartoon Network much.
  15. Goh, I feel you can share my pain when some says Moe Moe Kyun~
  16. Anyways, back on topic, I like Durarara!!! a lot for an anime, which someone introduced me to simply because she said Izaya was a lot like me. After seeing him cellphone stomp a girl's phone and his snarky ambivalent manipulative nature, I was inclined to agree and grew an interest in the series. However, I was disappointed in the ending somewhat, and am hoping they will continue the story someday.
  17. it's relatively easy to pick up hirigana and katakana I think, but learning to converse and how to speak formally and informally in conversations might be a tad difficult on your own. Kanji I feel is doable as long as you practice them long enough, which I neglected to do.
  18. Since you're required to take 2 years of foreign language in high school in California, or maybe San Francisco at least, I took Japanese to get in touch with my roots. I feel I got a better sense of the Japanese culture, but I was somewhat lazy and am terrible with Kanji as I never really took the effort to learn them because I hated writing all the strokes. It's why I didn't take Chinese despite being part that as well, because there's so many characters with so many complex characters. Japanese is a fun and interesting language. I ended taking it for all four years and another in college. The only thing is I notice how many people are taking it simply because they are into anime. They're noticeable because they carry a Code Geass or Death Note bag with a Bleach sweater or something similar, and it feels strange having to converse with them at times.
  19. I am the only Japanese guy who isn't really into anime that I have ever heard of.
