Not trying to be a smartass but what does the standalone version do to differentiate itself from the free mod?

I would love it if more console shooters on the ps4 gave you the option to use sixaxis to fine tune your aim.

I'm willing to buy a Wii U eventually, I just want Nintendo to hurry up and realize that selling the shit for 300 dollars is not working. Lower it to 200 or make it 250 and throw in Smash Bros or Mario 3D World and I'll bite.

I want to see that one just to see how a movie about a folk singer could possibly be that interesting but none of the theaters in my area have it.

I love my best friend like a brother but god damn he annoys the shit out of me sometimes when he stubbornly refuses to admit when he's blatantly wrong about something, and it's always something really minor and stupid. We were talking about Vin Diesel and then the subject of Pitch Black comes up and he claims that at the end of the movie Riddick intentionally gets Fry killed by the alien to save his own hide. I say "What? That doesn't sound right. I'm pretty sure her death was an accident." He insists Riddick kills her on purpose so we go find the movie to settle the debate. The scene in question makes it blatantly obvious that I'm right. I rewound the fucker about 20 times just to look for any possibility that my friend is right and I found nothing whatsoever to support his claim. I point out down to the second every instance that disproves his theory and he still won't budge. Then, I don't even know how we got on this one, he claims that Pitch Black is a coming of age story because Fry goes from a selfish person who wouldn't risk herself for others to a selfless person who does. I tell him that isn't coming of age, it's just regular character development. He says it IS coming of age because Fry is immature to not risk herself for the sake of others and that by changing her stance on that she "grows up." We ended up going back and forth on this for half an hour. I know it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things and that the whole debate is trivial but god damn, is it that hard to understand how a fucking coming of age story works?!

Maybe I'm stupid or something but if I want to show an image I saw posted on this forum to someone outside the forum without having to link the whole page and make them scroll through it, how do I do it? Usually I right click and copy the image URL on other sites, but on here right click just enlarges the image. Edit: Son of a bitch, I figured it out literally 30 seconds after posting this.

It's even worse than we thought. Even major players in youtube like Angry Joe and Boogie are getting their videos claimed. You can argue the point of whether Let's Plays should be monetized until the cows come home, but claiming reviews and even interviews with game developers is just plain wrong. The new youtube system is a complete mess, and if google doesn't backpedal on this hard and fast it's literally going to ruin a lot of lives.

We're taking about companies like Activision and Sega. It's way too late for that.

I really don't see why posting footage on YouTube to talk about or show off a game is a bad thing. These companies have the legal right to censor videos focused on their games, I'm just not convinced that they should. How exactly does it hurt them? Unless you're getting negative reviews, I suppose, and then you're just being weasily and dishonest to try to suppress it.

A lot of it is automated now. Even minecraft videos get taken down and Notch has made it clear that he is 100% okay with monetizing footage of his game.

So I finally held an Xbone controller and it was rather strange. First of all, it felt super light and kind of fragile. Maybe that's because it was plugged in instead of using batteries but I can't imagine batteries would add that much weight. The d-pad was better than the old one, although I still prefer the DS4 where it's four separate buttons instead of a cross. Face buttons mostly felt the same. The weird part for me was that the sticks and triggers, two things I readily admit the previous Xbox had over the PS3, actually felt worse. The sticks themselves felt extremely loose, even more so than the dualshock 3 did. There was almost no resistance from them whatsoever. The triggers also felt like they'd been hollowed out and filled with air or something. I know there's rumble in the triggers now so maybe it's different when you actually play a game, but I was just holding the controller for the sake of holding it so I don't know. Has anyone else held one of these controllers? I'm not sure if the one I got my hands on was messed up somehow or if this is how it's supposed to feel, but if my experience is normal then it baffles me why Microsoft would change the parts of the controller that really didn't need to be fixed in the first place. Except for the d-pad it actually felt worse.

Bad news for you Europeans. Microsoft is raising the digital game prices for Xbox One games in your territories. So I guess at this point they've just given up on ever beating the PS4 overseas and are just throwing things at the wall to see what sticks.

Maybe everyone else already knows about it but I just found a mod for Binding of Isaac that lets you play around with the game's settings to make it less random. You can also edit maps, but I haven't really figured that out. If you don't want to change the rules of the game, you can just use it for the bug fixes on the original game. You can even turn the fixes on or off if you want to use a particular bug or exploit for whatever reason. If none of that appeals to you, then you can just use it for the graphics acceleration and controller support. http://spidermod.spiderland.net/
