  1. Next month's Plus offerings for US members.
  2. If that was a joke then he's a shitty comedian. Who's to say he's not just covering his ass now? Even if it really was a joke, how many people are going to believe that?
  3. If you see a cool preview or trailer but feel that the game is too far away from release or too obscure to justify a dedicated thread yet, just stick it here. To start, I got one for fighting game fans out there.
  4. Speaking of Rick and Morty, anyone with even a passing interest in the show should watch this week's episode before Adult Swim removes it from youtube at the end of the week. I think that a good while from now this is going to be one people still remember and discuss, much like certain Futurama episodes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SutlAKqlmNo
  5. Rick and Morty has apparently surpassed Archer as the most viewed tv show in the male 18-35 demographic.
  6. Maybe playing it alone makes it a little more bearable but try to see things from my perspective. I had never finished the original game so I had no idea what to expect or what the DLC even was until someone told me which part of the game wasn't originally there. Now, I had built up Adam with a whole lot of praxis points into a hacking/assault specialist, and I had accordingly adjusted my gameplay style to account for that. DLC starts and whoops, there go all my upgrades. They give you a few points, sure, but not nearly enough to get me back to the way I was. Oh yeah, and for a while all your guns are gone too. I fucking hate when games do that. I might have mentioned that in the tropes that need to go thread, but if not I'm gonna mention it here: I hate when games have a level where you're captured and all your gear is taken away, forcing you to do the stealth approach. You get it back eventually, but not all the ammo that you've been saving. You don't get that back until the very end when you've already done everything. The design of the whole area just felt weak to me, too. Too many corridors and not enough open areas. There was also too much backtracking. Finally, the boss. Oh my god, I hated this boss so much, and because I was low on ammo and didn't have the upgrades I was used to it probably took me 20 god damn tries to beat that room. To put it simply, they were pushing late game difficulty on a character with mid-game power at best. Maybe their intention was for it to be harder, but I don't like it when the difficulty of a game suddenly spikes out of nowhere. Oh yeah, and the story that happens on the ship is completely pointless. In case anyone hasn't played it I won't say what happens, but you have played it and you do know what happens and you also know that it has no effect whatsoever on the rest of the game. That might not be jarring if you play it standalone, but I was playing the Director's Cut so they integrated it right into the main storyline, then never bring it up again after it's over. If you enjoyed it, I'm glad, but I easily found it to be the weakest part of the entire game.
  7. Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut I had started the original version once before but never finished it. I managed to get the director's cut at a pretty decent price so I figured why not, I might as well finish what I started. The game is pretty good for the most part, and I did enjoy the story, but there were a lot of little flaws in there that served to really piss me off sometimes. Also, the included Missing Link dlc is garbage. I think adding it in actually brought the game down.
  8. What the fuck is taking Telltale so long with The Wolf Among Us?!

Oh, I thought it had come out in November. At one point they'd said their plan was to alternate TWAU and TWD each month, which would have been nice.

They say they're on track now and that the delay was due to unique circumstances coupled with the holidays. I suspect Telltale crunches differently from other devs since they're always on the cusp of release, so they kind of have to let their staff vacation over holidays. I am fine with that.

I am NOT! They must work tirelessly, round the clock, until all my videogame desires are fulfilled!

  9. A lot of people are saying they need to make a Pokemon MMO for the Wii U but I really don't think they need to (or should) go that far. I think if they just made a single player Pokemon knock-off of Ni No Kuni that it would tempt a lot of pokefans into getting a Wii U. It'd have to be a real RPG, though. None of this knock off hidden dungeon or colosseum bullshit.
  10. I thought most people liked him. I mean, we all hated him when all he was really known for was Titanic but he admirably overcame the risk of being pigeonholed into generic pretty boy roles with his later movies.
  11. I finished Puppeteer with my friend. I was playing the main character while he was using the PS Move to control the assist character. It was pretty fun, well worth the asking price during the 14 for 14 sale.
  12. A tiny little ps4 would be so cute and I would totally want one.
  13. I'm actually cool with my launch version of the vita. The screen is something that makes me want to hold on to it. I can totally understand why they feel the need to change it though.
  14. I got the katamari itch from the grumps too but I'm holding out for a ps4 version.
  15. I'm still not sure if this belongs in wonderful or awful.
  16. Hey look, it's Assassin's Creed: Middle Earth. My god, how shameless do you have to be to rip something off so blatantly?

  18. Well I finally beat Shin Megami Tensei IV. I got the law ending, which is weird because I was going for neutral but I thought if I couldn't get that I would at least end up with the chaos ending. I can't say the law ending made me feel too good after I beat it, either. I might do new game+ at some point to go for the neutral path again, but I have a lot of 3DS games on my backlog. I have to decide now between Zelda, Pokemon X, Donkey Kong, and Fire Emblem.
  19. It's been a while since I played Super Metroid but I thought that for Arin, he didn't do that bad. I'm not gonna say he was that GOOD at it either, but he did manage to finish in a little over four hours. A lot of times with other games he'll be so clueless to such completely obvious objectives that he'll spend several episodes just wandering around and screaming that he doesn't know what to do. It drives me insane when he does that, but I thought he did that a lot less with this particular game.
  20. Maybe I'm desensitized to their antics by now but what stuck out to you?
