The skeptic in me still wants to believe this is all a hoax where Microsoft announces the always-online New Xbox and then when everyone hates it they bring back Xbox Classic and make billions.

If I'm downloading a game that's 15 GB I'm certainly going to notice the difference between 1 gbps and 50 mbps.

Pixar has kinda lost its way lately. These last few years I've actually liked Dreamworks more. I hear The Croods is meh, though.

Assuming this rumor is indeed true, I can only think of two reasons they'd do something so monumentally ill-advised: 1) Piracy, which would be kind of like cutting off your leg because you got athlete's foot. 2) Xbox isn't a "game machine" anymore, it's an "entertainment" machine, and they intend to use it more like a streaming/television device that just happens to play games. Sure you need a connection to stream tv, movies, or music, but why would you need one to play games? I see no upsides to this idea, but plenty of downsides.

I still just can't believe that's true. I mean, it would be the worst decision made in the gaming industry since the Virtual Boy. Microsoft has done a lot of crap I don't like lately, but it's hard for me to think that they're really, truly, seriously THIS stupid.

I would say that if you don't like the Nissan dlc you can just ignore it, but remember that this is a game where it is MANDATORY to connect with other cities, and if they're "cheating" by using this DLC which has no drawbacks, then you're "cheating" by proxy.

People who describe any kind of humor they don't enjoy as LOLSORANDOM. I don't like randomness much myself, but just because you don't find something funny doesn't automatically mean it's "random."

I finally did it. I canceled Xbox Live gold. I'd like to thank Playstation Plus for helping me realize I was keeping myself in an abusive relationship for all these years.

Meh. I own it anyway (Demon's Souls that is). Would like to not have the disc if not needed though.

Yeah a lot of the best PS+ games I already own but it's great having the games digitally.
That said, Demon's Souls kicked my butt in the 10 minutes I played it. No thanks!

Getting your butt kicked (killed, precisely) is literally part of the tutorial. It's 100% unavoidable as it ties into the lore and gameplay mechanics.
