As an alumni of a college fraternity, I have to say its disheartening to see how 'frats' are viewed in the public eye. The worst part is that most of these assumptions are based off of fact that some dickwads in fraternities have done, said, or acted. Those people and stories are just hated by most of us because it paints a picture of 'frat' life that most fraternities dont even allow or follow.

Also, the fraternity I joined was kicked off for hazing, but that was before I joined. They even were kick out of the fraternity (nationally) and I helped rebuild it, it was a great experience (and I am a founding father)

So again, i'm in no way defending the actions, but it saddens me to see that happens making those of us who don't do that(the majority) look bad.

I talked about this in chat with harri. I'm not mad at EA. I'm not happy either. Honestly thats about it. Sure its got its flaws, but its not really pissing me off either. That's the major problem with Origin. Valve has almost perfected the digital download service, its all there for anyone to use. Valve also makes games that compete for your purchases with other companies, Valve gets a % of the money that we use to purchase a game on steam. Why would you want your competition to get money off of your product? Steam isn't like the PSN or Xbox Live where its the only service you can have to play a game on your system. EA wants a piece of that pie, and it makes sense. What EA didn't do, is look at what it is that people love about Steam. I mean its like they didn't care to make us want to switch over to Origin. To me, its like Valve cooked you your favorite food, and EA cooked you plain chicken and veggies. Sure its not the worst food you'll eat, but they really didn't try to make it any better than it needed to be. Origin isn't good. It's not terrible (the interface isn't bad at all), but still not good. EA didn't try with Origin, they just did. They threw it out there thinking that having a service is enough, but compared to Steam its not preferable. As far as making BF3 use origin only, I can't blame them. Valve games are only sold digitally on Steam and require you to use Steam. Sure it would probably sell better if it was available through Steam too, but they are entering the ring with Steam, but aren't really trying.

Some days (like today) I can be the best BC2 player in the game many games in a row, some days I'm the worst. At least I alone carried my stupid sniper squad mates to gold squad. I love this game and can't wait for BF3!

Does anyone know anything about the ATI Mobility Graphics card? I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5740 on my laptop. It seems to be good enough to play games but I dont know how it compares to other graphics cards in general

http://tinyurl.com/257otvu scroll down to read how the tests went with games. Obviously a lot of it depends on the rest of the components as well, but it gives you some indication. Tom's Hardware's rough graphic card hierarchy puts a Mobility 5750 in the same tier as a standard 6670 so it's probably around that level of performance.

I had them all except these two: LittleBigPlanet and WipEout HD Fury (I had the original, not Fury). I got Killzone Liberation, which is fun enough, and Pursuit Force.

For PS3 I went with Wipeout and Dead Nation since I already own inFamous and Super Stardust.
PSP, I got Killzone Liberation and Pursuit Force as well.
Also, I just retrieved a european PSN account I'd created a few years ago and got LBP through it

Just a heads up: if the "Free PS3/PSP Game 1/2" option goes away before you actually download the game, go to the XMB -> Account Management -> Services (or something like that) -> SCEA Offer (or something like that). It should still be there.

In september DC will be rebooting their entire universe. I personally am excited, mostly because I haven't really read any DC comics and see the reboot as a place to start!

I'm a bit split over this. I've gotten into comics, mainly DC, recently. So I've collected a huge backlog of reading material from Batman, JLA, the multiple Crisis events, etc.. and been reading it in hopes of eventually catching up with current events. But now... they're rebooting everything? Should I just stop and start again when they do? What's the point of catching up if everything will be meaningless once I'm finally up to date?

Im reading the Grant Morrison run on Batman's death and Dick taking over as batman. I am just going to keep reading it cause I enjoy the story, but yea its kind of a slap in the face to those reading it right now. Also, what happens with Earth One series that was basically a reboot?

My car was egged some time yesterday or last night. I washed it off as soon as I saw it, but it was dark so I don't know how bad it really is. I'm stuck at work for most of the day and have to go to graduation afterwards. I'm pissed because I have no time at all today to get it washed. Maybe I'll leave work earlier today to wash it. Has anyone had their car egged before? Does it do bad damage. I have an 04 ford Explorer. I heard it doesn't affect newer cars like it used to.

Take it off asap just to be sure. It may not stick as bad as older cars but it will stick. Treat it like bird poo.

I would love to see an open-world CRPG LotR game. I have high hopes for War of the North, but we'll see how well that goes. I love to see open world games, sandbox or not, its just fun to explore a city, world, or something of the likes. I honestly would love to see a single player game that has the scope of Just Cause 2, in a fantasy style RPG. You go online and it can have up to 16 other players along with you, but you can only group in teams of up to 6 or 8, similar to how RDR does its multiplayer, but its the full single player experience. You can choose offline or online and group with other players. You can go into a "friendly" match, or an open world match. You team up, split loot and move on to the next. To be honest I would like to see a game in any genre take up that kind of multiplayer. RDR is almost there, and thank goodness for it. I would also like to see a really awesome Robin Hood Action RPG. As you can tell I like third person action games with character progression.
