  1. Missed the allstar game so we could take the kids to Chuck E Cheese. It was not boring, but it wasn't a baseball game, either.

I saw. And it was my Giants kicking ass in the game. I'm hoping for a replay late tonight.

PCA, believe me, that food is torture in most third world countries, and CEC does not have arcade games like they did in the old days.

It wasn't boring, so it was better than a baseball game, right?

  2. I'd get the wife a new rack and all that shit she wants done. I'd pay off the house. The wife would try to give away a large chunk of it, but I "wont" let her. And, I would buy a summer house in Hermosa Beach. I'd have plenty of time to find a new job with the rest of the cash.
  3. In the days of The Best Damn Sports Show, Kruk would have been the ass end of the jokes for eating more food. And Berman knows football. During football season, I watch him religiously. Good to see everyone having fun, though. I love all star time. Now it's time for Cain to roll some bitches!

It was probably Slagathorian. His collection has probably become even more monstrous after this acquisition.

  4. We pulled off a red tomato here and there. Not much until now. Today, we pulled off four. And, if there were four, there are more on the way, especially with the heat turning up to the 100 degree mark where it should be.
  5. First time at a circus where an acrobat broke his leg. The leg was facing the opposite way it should.

That'd be my last time at a circus...

  6. Went to the county fair yesterday. Went here today http://johnspizza.com/ and am going to the circus tomorrow. Last weekend of freedom before the summer harvest.

Is that monkey nuts on a pizza? My mind won't let me believe it.

Yes, it is. And, yes, it was a WTF moment.

  7. And then 3 stolen bags today. Stole 2nd beating out a bad throw. Stole 3rd and the throw is off, into the outfield and he ran home. F'n awesome!
  8. Damn you, food coma. Damn you!

I did that the other week from food poisoning. I can't say it was fun cleaning up the splash or the part that missed the toilet.

Oh, the AoE and splash damage!...and humanity!

  9. Wife went to watch Magic Mike with her friends. I'm glad to stay home and clean the kitchen.

I would be too. Looks about as dumb as a "male" version of Coyote Ugly would be. ;)

I refused to watch Coyote Ugly. And, when it came on TV, it was worse than I expected. It was like a bad coming of age movie set in a bar with people that were of age already.

      Agreed whole-heartily.

  10. My buddy brought me a peach from his tree. Good and sweet! I forgot to mention my mandarin tree. It's small, but the fruit is good. The problem is that it is in a isolated location, and remembering to water (instead of the drip system) is a pain. I think that is affecting the acid levels of the fruit, because it's very acidic.
  11. Many times. I'm a guy. That is part of our nature, even though we fight it and behave ourselves because we are civilized. The person below me loves to paint in pastels.
  12. No doubt, but I had to mention that catch. DAT CATCH! /Stellar
  13. And Trout did an awesome catch yesterday and prevented a home run. That catch should have sealed all questions about him being an allstar.
  14. Do you have a Western Gardens book? I could not get by without one. On your first picture, the area you have in the box with the chicken wire is great! I want to do something like that. My gardening is more free flowing, as I place plants in randoms places in the mulch, but places that are conducive to the plant. The problem with partial sun in that the sun the plants do get has to be strong. I am not sure the weather is like that at your place. I know Pismo has a lot of overcast, so I imagine SLO gets the same? In the second set of pics, you have an herby looking plant. That is most likely you potato plant. I have seen potatoes grown in the Midwest, but never out here. So keep me posted on that experiment. The other plant, I am not sure. Probably just a weed, though it is a nicer looking weed than what I normally see. Have you thought about dwarf fruit trees? I think advocado is prevalent in that area, but needs a female and male, except for one variety of advocado. My lemon tree gives me lemons about 9 months of the year. It's not a a Meyer or improved Meyer. I cannot recall the variety, but it saves me a lot of money the way the wife uses those things (about one large lemon a day). You don't have a lot of room, but some dwarfs can grow in larger containers, which might help out. To really tell what time of the year for plants, most cities/counties have a master gardener who is available to talk with. I have talked with the master gardener in our area about some basic plants, and they can give you detailed instructions and ideas of what can and will work for you locally. Sometimes the USDA also has some information available.
  15. I am waiting until September to plant my winter crops. Carrots, cabbage and some melons. I'm not sure about the cabbage, but I figure if ornamental kale grows here, then so should other winter greens. Right now, I have some tomato plants growing, and they are friggin healthy. I didn't amend the soil this year, so I will need to do that when I next plant (from seed). Last year was brutal. Snails ate all of my basil. I got one leaf. One. The plant was big, but those snails were bigger. And so many of them that the beer trick wouldn't even make a dent. I put out the snail bait. I had a sea of shells. It was scary how many I had. They were all over my lemon tree, but I got them off of there. And, this spring I had the same thing. To protect my non-food plants, I had to use the snail bait. Another pile of shells and a hearty crunch everywhere I stepped. I might be going to the kids' school this weekend and planting some flowers. They are redoing the library, and they need help with the landscaping. Fun!
  16. I don't. My PC was free and it shows. The person below me invested in Apple during the 80's and sold off during the 90's, living in bitter regret of the riches that could have been.
  17. Let's not forget, Scientology is based upon a book by L Ron Hubbard, a science fiction writer and a person who was dellusiional about himself in the first place. Crazy understands crazy.
  18. I got that one, but have yet to check it out. I'm playing Marvel KAPOW! right now, but am already bored with it. It might not be worth the free I got it for. Amazon has NCAA Football 13 for $45 if you preorder. Good deal for anyone who plays sports games.
  19. Damn, I have too many. When Harry Met Sally, because it makes me cry. Grease, because it makes me cry, and I can sing along. The Music Man, because it makes me cry, and I can sing along. The Full Monty, which made me want to become a male stripper quite temporarily. All of those movies have a great soundtrack. Another song I like from movies is Playing With Them Boys by Kenny Loggins. In general, I love musicals! I listen to them at night when no one is around. Then, I love to play cheap, crappy iPhone games. Too many to name, but they are easy to play, much like the original games I played, like Pong and other games on my Atari 2600. And I love watching trash shows, like Real Housewives of New Jersey/New York/Beverly Hills and the dating shows on VH1 (Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, New York, Tough Love). I frequently look at TMZ.com, as well. This whole Katie Holmes/Tom Cruise divorce with the Scientologists really has me intrigued at the moment.
  20. Trout only got write in votes. Since he's a rookie, he is not a household name...yet. I heard he made the team, but as an alternative or something like that.
  21. Third base is an odd position. He won out by voting, which is great for any Giants fan. Having a nickname of Kung Fu Panda keeps you popular with the kids.
  22. Oh, that looks good! To bad I'm already baking some brownies tonight. Maybe tomorrow night.
  23. Zito is having a decent year. Even though Timmy is struggling, our pitching is still pretty darn good. If Timmy stays in the slump, we have a chance of making the playoffs. If Timmy pulls through, we have a solid rotation that could put us far in the playoffs.
  24. That is why I hate these interleague games. They disrupt the flow of the season. In addition, it messes with the records of these teams that means a lot when it comes down to the wire. And, let me put it this way, I would never have a little league team play where the pitcher doesn't get a chance to bat. These are essentially GAMES they play. GAMES that kids love to play. And every part that kids love to do when playing ball is BATTING. Taking that away from the pitcher is dumb. Just plain dumb. The only differences I love to see are about the ballparks themselves. Is hitting the foul pole a foul or in play (homerun, essentially, if you are hitting the foul pole)? Are the ballparks batter friendly or pitcher friendly? How deep is the deepest part of the outfield and how deep does the centerfielder have to play? These are the only fun things about interleague: seeing the small things.
