  1. I've got a HDMI supported Monitor/Graphics Card, however when i try to connect the two all that happens is i lose everything on the display baring the desktop wallpaper. No Explorer, no applications, not even a curser. I'm totally lost.. Any help? I've got the display working, but now i have no sound. We're good. I've got it working. Feel free to delete this post.
  2. Had to have our dog of 12 years put down yesterday. That was tough.

Having had to put down a cat earlier this month, I understand all too well. My condolences.

It's a tough experience, I hope you're holding up well. My condolences.

Sorry man, always a horrible experience.

  3. It's a new Wii, Cube games won't run on it. Maybe if Sony are nice they'll give us backwards compatibility on the ps4, that or a PSN version that works on the new system.
  4. Even the Ico/SotC collection wasn't called "The Team Ico Collection". I couldn't justify having a Cube, 360, Wii, iPad, Pc an a Ps3.
  5. Is MGS HD Collection getting a demo release on Vita?

I think the fact that you cant aim and walk or run makes games feel really really old. A lot of people get turned off by that, so I think its fair to warn them before they purchase something like that.

If I remember correctly, you actually can, it just requires hand gymnastics.

Well, you can run and shoot, but without third person aiming. You could do it since MGS1. It was kind of cumbersome though since you had to hold the rolling button before shooting. It was basically the best and maybe only way to beat Ocelot in the PS1 version of MGS1.

  6. Just a shame this will never come to a platform I own. I'm not going to buy a PS3 for this and Uncharted, so I'll never play this, unless Sony decide to put it on pc.
  7. I spent an hour or so on it last night. I think I worked out the basics, but I'm going to give it another look later today.
  8. I've been thinnking about buying that on Steam if you've still got it?
  9. Sim City is £10 though. Screw it. I'm going to play myself some CIV V
  10. Hadn't it been delayed until next year?
  11. I should say, i've only got the Demo as of yet. I was a little worried that this exact thing might happen, so figured it best if i didn't drop £35 on the game before i was sure. Still, i do intend to give the demo a few hours/plays when i'm a little less....exhausted.
  12. . I was tempted to give it another look, but seeing as i've now had only 5 hours in two days, i know there's no point. I've decided to download Trine. I've got Metro: 2033 on route (tomorrow hopefully) and Company of Heroes is downloading. All in all, i'm pretty much set for a few weeks.
  13. I actually didn't find Uncharted too bad. Maybe that was because it was the first Vita game i had though. I was so excited by the system that i was willing to let certain things go. Back to Gravity Rush, i also find the Swipe to Evade action a little too taxing. My hands aren't that big, i can barely get my thumb across the screen to perform the gesture.
  14. Woops. My finger slipped and i accidentally bought Trine 2. Again, Woops.

Well, at least you bought a good game.

Played a bit of it on PS3, I enjoyed what I played, might have to sit down and finish it, I hear it's pretty good for trophies.

  15. I wish game devs would stop asking me to tilt my device/screen. I don't know about you, but i don't find it nearly natural enough. I've got two thumb sticks for a reason, let me use them.
  16. I'm there - danielpholt. Not a massive online gamer, but I'm always open to a bit of chat. Also gifts, lots of gifts.
  17. Just spent 5 Minutes on Civ V and the thing scared the sh*t out of me. I felt to out of my depth. Granted, it was only five minutes. Another question. Is it worth th £11 to buy Sim City 4 or should I just wait for Sim City 5?
  18. I've done the first two this morning, however after repeatedly dying whilst trying to take down the flying one, i've called it quits for now.
  19. I'm in the iPad corner. I love the thing, and with the new display viewing comics has never been so much fun. Sure its more expensive than the Fire, but i think you get your moneys worth. Either way, i think Digital is the future.
  20. Having spent an hour on Gravity Rush this afternoon, i can safely say i'm back on board. Question to those of you who have completed it. I'm on Chapter 15, should i expect to see a marked rise in difficulty?
  21. Yikes. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I've added a good few titles to my Wishlist. Including, Company of Heroes VVVVVV (?), Bit.Trip, Super Meat Boy, Atom Zombie Smasher, Warhammer 40k, Metro 2033 (which i planned on getting on the 360), and Portal (i've played and completed P2). What i meant when i said 'the middle man', was that i intend to cut out the dvd/media aspect of buying games. I've not bought a CD in about 7 years, and whilst i dont think gaming has come that far i think i can survive without buying a PC game on disk. Unless its at a severely reduced price. Games like The Witcher 2 would have been immediate downloads, but i already own the 360 version. Once again, thanks for the suggestions. I'm downloading Company of Heroes right now.
  22. Ok so as a few of you know, i recently purchased a new PC. Its all fine and dandy, the only problem is that i don't have anything to play on it. Aside from the Torchlight and Tropico 4 Demo's. I'm looking for some suggestions. I know about the 'uber' popular Console Ports (COD, Battlefield etc etc), so i'm looking for something a little different. The only request i make, is that the game in question be available on Steam, Origin or Good Old Games, because i'm trying to cut out the middleman. So fire away. I'm really looking for as broad a range of games as you can muster. I'm open to most titles, provided i've not played them already. I guess a better question might be this. What games should a new PC Gamer buy immediately? Thanks guys and girls.
  23. They have hidden bosses? I don't think i've been giving this game enough of my time. I'll admit, i did start to just seek out the next mission after chapter 6-7.
  24. That film has made like 10x what Moonrise Kingdom has made, and that makes me very very sad. On a side note. Attack the Block is on C4 Sunday night. It's a brilliant little film, definitely worth a watch if you get a chance.
  25. What chapter is that? I don't think i've had to fight him. The toughest guy i've faced so far was Alias (his name was something stupid like that).
