  1. That's what I was meaning to say. It's clear at this point however that they're only loosely following the story from the comics. They're afraid to go where the comics go, which is a shame. Maybe the problems with Darabont's departure impacted the show somewhat. That being said, season one never reached the highs it promised during the opening episode. Maybe we're expecting too much.
  2. I really want them to go back to the 6 episode season, or failing that 10 episodes. There simply wasn't enough story to warrant a 12 episode season 2.
  3. I'd pay off my parents mortgage and any bills they still owe. Rather than buying them a new house, because i think they kind of like the one their living in currently. Maybe buy them a small lodge on the South Coast. Then i'd donate some money to my girlfriends parents so that they can pay off their debts and what not. I'd buy my two younger brothers a house each. No mortgage, reasonable size and maybe give them a few hundred thousand to sit on. Rather than giving them a lump some of say £1m each which they'd burn through in months. Then for me? I'd get married, take my new Wife on a tour of North America (during the Hockey season of course). Buy ourselves a nice house with a Drive, Double Glazing and a small, easy to keep, yet private garden (we don't want much). And the rest of the money would go into my bank account so that i'd never want for nothing again. Question. If you won £10m would you retire? I know the immediate response is yes, but i think after a year of being sat on my arse i'd have gained a few stone, lost contact with a good portion of my work friends and started to spend my money on crap in order to keep myself entertained.
  4. Thanks. In an age where i can get cheap games on my iPad, or my phone, and on my PC if i want something a little deeper, does this really have a mass market appeal. Clearly its not going to be looking to attract the average consumer who wants to play the latest COD game, but still. If i can get the same game on a PC that i already own, why would anyone buy this? @Chewblaha - I remember when Kickstarter was the place to go if you wanted to help fund a cool iPhone case, or a Watch. Now we're seeing Podcasts funded using the service. Its a bit of a waste if you ask me.
  5. Is it just me, or is the forum running a little slow tonight?

It's been running really slow for me for the last couple hours.

The stupid green bar on the top of the screen is mocking me today.

Its been running slowly the entire day til maybe an hour or 2 ago. Now its back to normal.

  6. I'm a little worried by the Android Console idea. The thing wouldn't just be an means of playing Mobile games on a larger screen would it? I hope not. I don't want gaming to go that way at all. It might be enough for some people, but for actual gamers? Not so much. Just done a bit of research, and it doesn't appear to be that. However, i'm a little worried about the term 'indie'. What are they classing as Indie.
  7. The one thing Windows Phone has nailed down is that home screen. I dont know that wallpapers would work at all. And as for live wallpapers, I'm far to concerned about my battery to bother with those.
  8. And a big f*ck you to you Darksiders.

Man, I really liked that game a lot.

I don't remember any controller punching moments in it.

  9. Played about 3 hours of Darksiders and almost threw my controller against a wall. The jumping mechanic in that game is horrible. It takes forever to realise I've jumped, leading to many a accidentle death.
  10. I've been tasked with looking after my mums house for two days. The girlfriend hasn't allowed me to bring my PC though. So i've hitched up with my 360. I was planning to crack on with Creed, but I think I'll start Darksiders instead. @themightyethan - aren't some of those shooters quite big? And I'd be stunned if you got through the Witcher and The Witcher 2.
  11. Just finished Metro: 2033. Can't wait for Last Light.

Once I get my gfx back from Zotac...I need to get on finishing this game!

  12. I would definitely have sat through an extra 30 minutes of footage. Make me happy Joss, give me an extended cut on Blu Ray.
  13. I honestly can't remember that many Ps1 game i'd like to re-play. Grand Theft Auto maybe?
  14. I feel your pain. Thankfully i'm not that bothered about going Platinum. Once i've had enough of a game, i've had enough. I'm sure i'll revisit it as and when they release more DLC however.
  15. Tried my first real salad for lunch today. I enjoyed it, up to a point. I don't know if i was full or if i had just eaten to much salad, but my stomach started to reject what i was feeding it. I'm thinking in future, maybe i should mix it up a little. Maybe have half as much Salad, and something a little less watery. A Beef Burger for example?
  16. I'm wandering if maybe buying it on PC for £10 might be a good idea. At the moment, the only thing i'm interested in playing on is my PC. Maybe i could use that as a spring board. I'm not going to shell out £30 for it though.
  17. Im sure it is a great game...but it'll be the 4th game in the Creed series i've played inside 10 months. I had to stop with Brotherhood half way through because i was getting bored with the mechanics. I figured i'd take a 3-4 month break and be ready to go, but i'm still not feeling it. Still, i'll do my level best to get through/started next Monday/Tuesday. I want the game done by the end of the month.
  18. I think i'm just going to run run through it. Usually i like to get a good few hours out of the game, but at this stage i just want to get it off my list.
  19. I've got to look after our mums house for two days next week so I'm probably going to take the 360 over and blitz through that.
  20. Had a little shock this morning. I went on the wii fit for only the second time. Apparently based on my BMI I'm technically overweight. Now I known BMI is a bit of a shitty way to work that out, but there's no way I'm overweight. Regardless of the fact that I don't believe it, I do know I've got lazy this last year. Since moving in with my girlfriend my meals have been less healthy, and I'm not going to the gym anymore. I'm going to make a few changes. I work at the local supermarket, on the fresh produce dept. it's probably the most physically demanding job in the store. Constantly pulling 7ft tall pallet boards full of £1000s worth of stuff, lifting heavy crates onto shelves and running around like a mad man for 8 hours a night. I've also started To bike the 5 miles to and from work again. So I figured it'll only take a small change to my diet to get me back to where I want to be. I can't afford to sign up to a gym membership, so I've been thinking about buying a treadmill. I hate running in the street so that's not really an option, unless I go out very early. What's the opinion on the fitbit / Nike+. Would this help me in anyway or should I nail down the diet first? And what's the best way to go about tracking calorie intake?
  21. I'd probably give it to Mass Effect 3. I spent 50 or so hours on that game, inside a 7 day period. And as someone that at most spends 2-3 hours playing a game on any given day, thats pretty impressive. I couldn't put it down. Yes the ending was poor, but the overal ride was fantastic. Honourable mentions to The Witcher 2, which took me a while to get into but eventually proved to be just as good as i had heard. Rayman Origins for Vita was and still is my favourite Vita title. I'm not a massive fan of platformers, but i really enjoyed that. It looks, sounds and plays fantastic. Had it had Online Co-Op it might have pushed Mass Effect 3. The Walking Dead? I know its technically not a full game, but i'm counting episodes 1 and 2 in. Both games have left me wanting more. I kind of wish i had waited until the full season was out.
  22. My iPod Nano has unfortunately gone for a swim inside the washing machine.

You can try putting it in rice.

I washed my Ipod Touch in the wash. It survived...though I kept it off for about a week.

      Sold it soon after.

Ah, the Karma God did strike me back soon after with a multitude of PC issues.

I've tried the rice trick. Its been 3 days now and i'm fairly sure its toast. I'm assuming that, as the Nano was still turned on when the wash started, that its just fried. O well. It has served me well.

  23. In the last 10 months i've managed to play through AC, AC2 and Brotherhood, but i just can't build up any motivation to throw myself into Revelations. I don't know if i'm just tired of the formular, or burnt out on the story. I've started Revelations, got about an hour into it and found myself getting frustrated with a certain mission. Maybe i'll add it onto my Shameless Gaming pile. I just want to get it done. As for the Vita version. I can't wait. Hopefully they go down the route that TheCowboyPoet suggested. Short missions, lots of combat and climbing and a decent storyline.
  24. Meanwhile Calgary just keep going backwards.
