I'd been hearing things about the Parise deal but the Suter deal has taken me completely off guard. I was sure he was heading to Detroit. Speaking of Detroit, they're D is starting to look awful ropey.

Think i'm gonna head into town and see The Amazing Spiderman next Tuesday. Looking forward to it, but thats mainly because i like Garfield and Stone. This morning i've re-watched Attack the Block. Probably enjoyed it more the 2nd time around. Definitely worth a watch if you're into Aliens, Pop-Culture references. Its from the people that made Hott Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead.

I just can't get focused on Sword and Sworcery. I want to love it, but i just can't. I'm thinking it might be down to the fact that i'm playing it on an iPad. I guess its the optimal device to play it on, but i get distracted too easy. 50% through, but i've lost the will to go further. Worth a go on PC?

Joey Crabb. Our signing on day one of free agency was a 4th line winger. Fantastic. On a serious note, he should give us some much needed depth. Still no second line centre though. I know it awful early, but I thought someone would show some real interest in Semin. TSN had some really harsh (unfairly so) words about him. They labelled him a 'coach killer' which just is not true. Baring the failure to report thing way back in 2005, he's never caused much trouble in Washington. You can sometimes question his effort levels, but he's never done anything to hurt the team. Even those stupid penalties are done out of wanting the puck back. Unfortunately the media in North America seems to associate the quiet, and more annoyingly the Russian players with the trouble makers. Semin is a lot of things, but he's not a trouble maker. Rant over. F*ck you TSN.

George Parros has gone to Florida, which is a little disappointing as Washington was supposedly into that deal. I'm sure we'll see more moves over the next month. These big multi-day events are always disappointing.

Firstly, Happy Canada day to any Canadians on the board. Secondly, its 'Free Agent Frenzy'. Washington will be saying Bye Bye to Alex Semin, a player who's time in Washington has divided opinion. One minute we love the guy, his outrageous shot, his puck handling ability. The next he's taking a offensive zone stick penalty in 9 straight games. On the whole though, i think we'll remember him fondly. Treat him well whoever gets him.

Well i'll definitely be picking that up inside the next month. I've got a Steam Wishlist thats steadily growing out of control. It's a real shame they don't sell Steam Giftcards in the UK.

A friend of mine at work actually likes episodes 1-3 more than 4-6. In fact, i think he outright dislikes 4-6. Cant get my head around it myself, the only reasoning i can put to it, is that he just doesn't like older films. Maybe the image quality or cheesy script puts him off? Or maybe he just really like animated robots.

I can't confirm this, but i hear the new version isn't actively bad, and its got a cool advert.

I've been eying that up actually, but i've still got to pay off this PC and my new Bike. Not sure if its a great idea to spend another £8 on a game (i know its only £8, but i've said that 5-6 times in the last week). I've also been looking at SpaceMarine, which i believe is in the sale too. Question regarding Steam. If i add the product (say SpaceMarine) to my Cart whilst its on offer, will it remain at that offer price if i buy the game after the offer has ended? I can't afford it right now, but in 2 weeks i'll be able to buy it for £5 you see. That makes sense right?

Whenever i see that show advertised all i can think is that the guys in post production went a little crazy on the saturation. Is it really that orange/bright in that part of the world?

Completely contradicting me previous post about the One X being my favourite phone of all time, i think i'll go down the Nexus Path next time. The One X was such a step up from my iPhone 4 that i feel a little more confident that i can handle a vanilla Android device now. So if and when Google/Samsung release a new Nexus i'll be in line.

I want a Hawkeye movie. There's just something about a Bow and Arrow thats uniquely cool. Also, Renner is a bad-ass. Back to Comics, has anyone read Chew? Picked up the entire Volume 1 collection (the first 8 comics i believe) for a few quid on my iPad, and i'm really enjoying it. I think X Comics has the first edition available for free, its well worth a look.

I should probably include AC:Revelations in this, but i've got absolutely no motivation to so much as look at my 360. PC and iPad it is then. Like Skoshuke, i've had Superbrothers: S&S for months (on the iPad) but i've only got half way through. I'll get that done sometime this week. That should allow me to focus on Metro 2033 on the PC and LA Noire. A game i started on release for the 360. The recent Steam sale has allowed me a cheap way back into that game. So not much, but its pretty much all i've got time for. Also, i suck at games.

If you've not played Rayman i can't recommend that enough. Without a doubt its my favourite Vita game so far. Loved every (sometimes frustrating) minute of it.

Not sure i'd class it as a guilty pleasure, but i kind of like Bruno Mars songs. Especially some of the more up tempo ones. The Lazy Song is my 'Friday Afternoon Song'.

Get the One X man. Its my favourite phone ever. I love it.

I think we need to give some love to Guacamelee. That game is going to be awesome. The name alone almost guarantees it. Ish.

Just over a week in now, and the game i've spent most of my time on has been Trine 2. Its a little less in depth than the other games, and it looks fantastic. Loving the puzzle aspects of it as well, more so than the combat. So maybe in future i'll give Puzzle titles a bit more of a chance. That reminds me, Portal needs to be bought already. I've still never played that for myself. I've seen my brother play it, and i've played P2 but i've not tasted any of that sweet pie for myself. Is it true that P1 and P2 are in effect, almost completely different?

From what i'd gathered they were trying to build a separate universe based solely on the movie franchises, i might be wrong however. You seem to know more about it than i do, so i'll side with you. Saying that, i know they've got a Thor 2, Cap 2 and Iron 3 coming out in the next few years. No word on Avengers yet, maybe we'll here something about that at CC.

Honestly, I found that game to be a massive disappointment. It's fun for an hour or so but the repetitive nature of the missions killed me. I've not played on it in months. Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is selling for £20 on the PSN store right now. I'm mighty tempted to pick that up.
