Saw Super was out on BD (it never got a theatre release here) so I decided to grab that as well as The Maltese Falcon (the book). ...which will then probably lead to me buying the film, breaking my 'no higher than £3 for DVDs' rule that I have been trying to follow.

Apparently it is quite 'hard-edged'. I can't say the trailers ever suggested any sort of humour at all. http://www.empireonline.com/reviews/reviewcomplete.asp?FID=136721

Some more cheap DVDs - Gran Torino - Smokin' Aces Have heard mixed things about the latter but I figure £3 is no big risk.

And it's all subjective, brah.
-
How impactful it was or not is irrelevant to the actual intent of the joke though.
-
Firstly, it was a joke. It was a 'one size fits all' generalisation for games. Secondly, you might expect certain features from a sequel or brand regardless of what has been said. I have no clue about Diablo but it sounds like SCII's lack of LAN disappointed in the same way.

He must do. If you go to the actual site and view the slightly larger image, it is clearly very cel-shaded-looking.

Some alternative skins revealed. http://arkhamcity.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4001 Middle one looks kinda cool and the right one looks kinda freaky.

You're supposed to reveal more features as you promote your game, not gradually let people know what will no longer be in it.

Gentlemen, this is the 'this > that' thread not the 'this > this > this > this > this' thread. GOSH!

Watched Doc Hollywood the other night. Forgot how great it is. Some wonderful lines and characters in there.

It's a tricky one. I mean, it's Star Wars plus BioWare, and it looks similar enough to WoW that it would be accessible, but EA aren't exactly winning anyone over at the moment. I can't speak for everyone but I get the feeling the public at large would probably go 'Oh, yeah, WoW but with Star Wars!' and they'd be won over by these CGI trailers. People are excited by brands in the same way CoD will always find a large audience. The only thing is whether it would win WoW players over since I know a few of them who just keep playing to...keep playing. It really does not sound like they are enjoying themselves but they just keep on going. Weighing it up, I'd have to guess it would co-exist peacefully but it all depends on the longevity of the game (in terms of the story content) plus the subscription/payment model.

Do I find people who pose questions to themselves annoying? Yes. Does it work in some instances? Maybe.

Chewie reminded me of this. I prefer this version.

How come you need to use the map? I hardly found myself opening it at all, instead I kept pressing the button to get my partner to give me directions.
-
Do you ever have anything positive to say about games?
-
I watch a load of covers and things people do on YouTube. I miss being in a band.
-
I think it's worth it for the combat alone. Those bits were a little annoying in gameplay terms but were well-done and made for a nice change of pace from the rest of the game. Would definitely not be worth it alone.

Loving the new Less Than Jake EP. Sounds like good old LTJ, since they'd neglected the ska side of things too much as of late (although Anthem wasn't bad). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5KRJTc1KQo
