  1. To me at least, Pegg and Frost have always seemed more like sketch/gag-writers whereas Wright has the stronger film background.
  2. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gc-11-the-witcher/719206? http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gc-11-the-witcher/719206? Quite a bit of stuff.
  3. While not great, Malcolm McDowell can at least give a semblance of a performance. The rest of the cast look dreadful but not in a funny way. EDIT: The Man Who Sued God seems like a far more 'developed' and slightly different film though.
  4. Malcolm McDowell aside, that looks awful. I mean, even though it's not serious, it does not look funny.
  5. I think Project Eden was a v cool idea, and an OK game, that a sequel really could've built on.
  6. Off the top of my head I am torn between KOTOR III and Psychonauts...but I could probably think of something 'better'. If that makes sense. A new Jade Empire could've been interesting. Or a newer W40K Chaos Gate. AGH!
  7. I've not seen the film but I imagine the title, taken quite literally, is a spoiler in itself.
  8. He's just a poor, misunderstood kid.

  10. Gran Torino. Really good. Clint Eastwood is a legend.
  11. The film's never gonna match the book but the guy who plays Rorschach does a damn good job. The Comedian is pretty good too.
  12. Those are some good points. I had not thought of those (I kinda had the last one in a different regard) This article may be a lot longer than I expected... They did change in Fable 3 but I seem to recall the end result not always matching the task it required you to do; which, while odd, wasn't always a bad thing.
  13. You mean you didn't use the tether? I liked the new powers but they should've opened up the controls a bit more. Ice launch should have been a double-tap of X or something. Too much switching around between powers was annoying.
  14. I'm not against upgrades as a whole but there are times where it just bugs me. I understand the role it plays but I would rather some games started looking at improving other elements instead. Take, for example, Dead Island. I noticed Fahey on Kotaku talking about the 'level five pipe'. http://kotaku.com/5829491/five-disappointing-things-about-my-first-few-hours-on-dead-island In other words, you have to upgrade your 'pipe-wielding skills' in order to swing a pipe. This can apply to Borderlands and the like too. It just sounds ridiculous. I know it's a staple of RPGs but I don't think other games should integrate these elements, or they should at least improve how it's done.
  15. That's awesome. Had to see if anyone had attempted this...and they had. My ears!
  16. This is going to sound like an odd one but I've been writing an article on the bad side of 'upgrades' in games (abilities, stat increases, etc.). Stuff like how they can seem tacked on, don't match the character or the setting, or can be quite boring. But rather than it all being negative there is a good side too, and I'd like to hear it from you guys. Any particular upgrade/unlock systems you've liked? What about a particularly fond memory involving one? In this regard, I remember doing the Skagzilla mission in Borderlands with Mordecai but not realising it would be quite so tough and without taking enough ammo. Fortunately, I had upgraded the Bloodwing to allow the occasional drop of health and ammo after striking an enemy. So, after a protracted fight, I finally managed to defeat the thing. It may be because it was already a creature, in a sense, but I had a fondness for that guy from that moment on. (OK, that does sound odd). So, what about you guys? Obviously, feel free to be negative as well; there may be something I've missed.
  17. Yeah. I think I liked half of Weekend In The City and then one or two tracks off Intimacy. I can't blame them for trying new stuff but I preferred their less electronic-led music. Silent Alarm really was something special. I actually got into them after hearing their first EP (Bloc Party). Plus, some of their early singles were really good and worth seeking out (Skeleton, Tulips, Little Thoughts)
  18. "The Conversatives or whatever who it is. I don't know" http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14458424 Yeah. Obviously, they don't speak for everyone but there really is no actual aim.
  19. Videogames are like a box of chocolates. ...I like them.
