  1. Not that I'm bothered either way, but something looks a bit 'off' with #5. A majority of them seem to be about picking a hairstyle and I quite like #1 and #3.
  2. Yeah, I never play the career stuff. I don't really see the point, especially the way it's changed in 3. And I have a load of DLC that I have too much fun playing anyway.
  3. Why not play in practice mode or with No Fail on? With the latter you can at least see where you would fail but you can at least keep playing to see if any tricky parts suddenly 'click'.
  4. Watched JCVD. It had some really good direction and Jean-Claude Van Damme really can act. I think it just about manages this weird monologue he delivers to try and explain himself (many marriages and drug problems) because the film is not afraid to take jabs at him and is essentially deconstructing his persona. Of course, he still gets to come out of it looking 'good' but that's to be expected.
  5. Sterling championing a low-budget game? WELL I NEVER.
  6. Well, obviously, the bullets were made from reverbranium. DUUUUH!
  7. Bought a new 360 S (with free Fable III that I shall trade-in) as well as an HDMI cable. Now to decide whether to buy a bloody HDD transfer kit (since USB stick is no longer an option!) used from Amazon or trade-in Fable III against a new one since there's not anything else I'd buy instore.
  8. Hmm, from the little I'd seen before, he seemed to favour the physical and goofy side of comedy. Although I guess you can get weary of it after nine years of Seinfeld, and to then play a similar character again outside of 'the group' would be weird.
  9. In everyday life, I try not to curse. But that's because most people I know are aware that if I swear then I am really annoyed (like I was when talking about a particular delivery driver today). Like P4, I'm not offended by it or anything but with everyone I know it's always been a sign that something is 'serious' rather than joking around. Online it's a bit different though, since you don't always get the venom behind swearing in written form.
  10. Another bad Friday. Might have to order myself a new 360 to cheer myself up. =p

Already have one. GOSH! Are you trolling me or...oh, yeah.

  11. We have many types of bacon in the UK but I see what you're saying about what it might typically mean. We do have pork chops and all other sorts of pork cuts too.
  12. Swearing is dumb as fuck but cool as shit.
  13. I use 'dude'. I'm a dude, he's a dude, she's a dude, we're all dudes (hey!)
  14. My retrospective on the first game is up! I may do one for the second as I've been playing that too. http://www.pressxordie.com/2011/07/21/retrospective-carmageddon/

I guess this is what EDF did to your 360

still sympathies. Console updates can be this way but at least it wasn't as bad as the windows 7 SP1 annoyance.

      「Advent Chaos」

Hooray I'm still using (and I use the term loosely) an old white 360 with a 20GB HDD. Has suffered about 3 RRODs I think? Not under my ownership though.

  16. Really? Are you talking about the UK? I've never known that to be the preference in my experience. I would prepare it that way anyway, just in case, but I am usually around carpet fitters so it will usually be your typical builder's 'milk, two sugars'.
  17. RDR sidequest writing guide You must: 1. Collect something for someone who is...dead/actually a bit of a lying bastard/really a horse 2. Go find someone who is...dead/actually a bit of a lying bastard/really a horse
  18. Enslaved was quite a disappointment for me too. If you want an example of a padded game that isn't an RPG, there you go.
  19. Double post! Ban him! BAN HIIIM! EDIT: He removed his double post. Unban him! UNBAN HIM!
  20. Somebody just got statistic'd! Yes, that's a word. Good site, huh, Kyle?
  21. Yeah, it was just the first I'd noticed. Was I the impetus for that story?
  22. I know it involves a ding-a-ling in some way.
  23. I already wrote an article that touches on the narrative aspects they were talking about. When they brought up L.A. Noire and Heavy Rain they seemed to be talking about stretching a story across a game's length (and that's why they should be more like TV) since it can affect the overall pace. I actually never felt that way with those two examples. Sure, L.A. Noire dragged a little in places but it was set out a bit more like a TV series, and Heavy Rain's story never felt too long or padded (just a little misguided), while the way it progressed kept you moving along comfortably. It really does depend on the game though. Sometimes it's not about the 'length' but the actual content and replayability.
