I had a friend who suffered with a tooth issue for years...no insurance. She finally got it checked out...had massive infection and shit.

a bit off topic, but I wonder if that 50 hz is what makes UK shows look so odd on my TV, no matter how I watch them (hulu, netflix, cable...)

yeah I set up cell alerts with wiialerts.com, although it didn't work earlier when newegg had some in stock for a whole 18 minutes or whatever. BB has already told us they would have them available on Sundays... when they sold out yesterday they told us try again next Sunday. If they aren't opening at 8 am again next Sunday and at 10 or 11 I might have a better shot. I've heard from a reliable source that (our local GS at least) is indeed hoarding any stock for Black Friday. I wouldn't be surprised to find that Target and Toys R Us are doing the same. I'm not planning on doing any Thanksgiving / Black Friday shopping because a) I agree going out Thanksgiving evening makes you a shithead, and b) We'll be with my Mother and that side of the family in the middle of Nowhere, Kansas. So unless I want to get up extra early and drive half an hour to the nearest town with any sort of stores (Hays, KS) I might as well try online that day. Oh yea I wasn't going to get an xbone just because it was the next gen system available at the time, I was just noting. I do want DR3, though...

well this morning was a bust. After a rough night I got out of work at 6:45, headed straight to Best Buy to find a fairly large line. Wait a few minutes, a guy comes out with supposedly 16 tickets, hands them out, then says "sorry guys, we are sold out of consoles, check back next Sunday." By this time it's only a little after 7, I head over to Target -- no one is there. Sit in my car for about half an hour, head to the doors about 15 minutes before opening. A guy comes out and asks if we are looking for anything in particular (by this time there's 4 of us), and we ask about PS4s... none. Xbox Ones they got six of. So I could have had an Xbox One.

friend of mine works at toys r us. I guess they had a day one edition pre order cancelled, and they had to send it back? seems odd.

friend of mine sold us his black zelda edition 3ds so he could upgrade to the new zelda 3ds xl. So I guess we have a 3ds now. Also bought Super Mario 3D world on the wii u.

Oh yea, it just wheels up against the wall in the kitchen and and is out of the way, there's just no area to put a built in dishwasher. and seeing as how this is a rental, I'm not going to bother with it. got a decent deal on this, use it for the year or two we are (hopefully) here before buying a place, then sell it.

well that sucked. Opened the case today and noticed the fan on my Hyper 212 evo (heatsink) wasn't running. Speedfan was showing cpu temps of 33, my motherboard sets to 45 at lowest for target temp. So I play a game for a couple of hours trying to get the temp up, see if it'll kick on then -- temp goes up a little, but no fan still. Say screw it and plug it into a chassis fan header -- nada. So I have a dead heatsink fan. Then I remember I had bought a 120 mm fan to replace a dying case fan. Quick swap, I have a running fan again. It's only a 3 pin, so no PWM. I'll order a proper 4 pin soon. Any brand suggestions? I hear Noctua a lot, or Scythe.

Was told today that my local Best Buy is guaranteed to have consoles in on Sunday mornings. So I know where I'll be right after work Sunday.

aw crap I just realised they open at 8am for the holiday week. This means I'll get there shortly before opening but who knows how many people will already be there.

sorry to say man but brick and mortar stores won't be getting shipments for a long time. Best Buy sent me a text saying "get a ps4 for december 22" or something like that. Highly doubt it'd take them that long to get new stocks, but man that's a shifty text.

If you don't have a preference on where you buy it online, go to google and type "ps4 stock tracker". Websites like these refresh fairly regularly. Yesterday, after non stop checking, I finally got my PS4 off Best Buy's website. It shipped today.

had to go to Kansas City for an appointment with my daughter's plastic surgeon, figured while I was in the big city I'd look a few places. No PS4s, one BB told me it'd be a couple of weeks, another told me it'd be sometime in the next few days.

Respectfully I disagree, at least with my experience. Wife got an extended warranty on my PSP, used it once. I got one on my first 360, used it 4 times. Each time I could walk in with my console, tell them whats wrong, sometimes they'd look at it, I'd pick one up off the shelf, swap the hard drives, take it home. 4 consoles for the price of one, I'd say I got my money's worth. I have a Zune 120 that I got for free after my Zune 80 stopped holding a charge, thanks to BB's replacement plan. My Wii U is the only system I have without a replacement plan, and that's because of Nintendo's lack of a proper purchase management system.
