Ooops, yea, missed that. Dell / alienware has changed their configuration options from what I'm used to, thought something was funny. Also; $120 to upgrade to 8GB? Just take the stock 4, save $40 by getting a pair of 4GB sticks from newegg with free shipping. That all depends on what aspects of "what you get" you are interested in. The entire package: portability, gaming, etc? I'm not sure. gaming + price combination? That depends on if you are looking at the price of the m11x configured with an i series cpu or the c2d (cheaper route). ASUS G series have some good 15"-17" laptops with gaming friendly configurations that hover around the $1,000 - $1,200 mark. But then those are going to be heavier (especially the 17") and more of like a DTR instead of something meant to be lugged around. Same with places like cyberpower and ibuypower. Acer has a 11.6" netbook with a core i7, but its running intel hd graphics. So basically, not that I know of.

I'm staying very pessimistic and have the lowest expectations for this. I learned my lesson after the trainwreck that was Origins: Wolverine. In fact, calling that movie a trainwreck is offensive to trainwrecks. It sounded so great. The casting, the leaked bits of the story, hell even the trailers. Then that unfinished version of the movie leaked. And I watched it. And it was horrible, and I was thinking "it's unfinished, maybe they'll change some things." Then the movie came out, and word was spreading that it was indeed, that terrible. Then my friend, another Deadpool nerd like myself, dragged me to the movie. I kept telling him he didn't want to see it. In the end, I got to say "I told you so" and we were both the worse for it. So I say it now in hopes it'll prove me wrong: Fuck this movie.

my cpu. Intel Quad 9400 @ 3.0 It's p well above minimum, but not quite to i5/i7 level due to the improved memory controller. edit: HA! That System Requirements Lab. Click on the "recommended upgrades" and it sends to a Tiger Direct page searching for Gaming PCs over $1000. Kind of defeats the purpose of PC gaming if you have to just toss out your whole system to upgrade. edit, missed a zero.

Next gen would be nice to see more AA / AF in consoles, but also more games running native 1080p instead of 720p also; like others, I'm expecting under the hood stuff. The aforementioned improvements (AA AF)and stuff like smarter AI, etc, because with more processing and memory, more stuff can go on at once; more calculations can be made per second. also: While there is a bit of a graphical improvement, a lot of the focus there is on lighting and environmental effects
