well, there's that, and the whole bit with the last bit of DLC for Left 4 Dead 2, MS charged for it on the 360 while it was free on steam, then Valve turned around and put the entire game on sale for less than the 360's dlc.

I can't find the actual tweet, but although funny, it was quite poignant for the times, and it was something to the effect that "hackers stole from PSN what is on everyone's facebook page." People are more sharing now than ever, I really find it disturbing the amount of people on my flist freely provide their address and phone number. The credit card is the big if, and right now Sony isn't fully sure if those have been compromised. So like everyone else, I'll just watch my bank. I originally didn't want to tie a card to it; but when I first got the ps3, psn cards weren't available, and I must have forgot to have it not store my data from that first purchase. -
Nintendo's always sold their hardware at a profit, something different from most / every other manufacturer out there. Wouldn't be surprised to see this next console above the $300 mark. "$599 USD!!"? Maybe not, but definitely above the 360/PS3.

This is going to be interesting. backwards compatibility, half a DS as a possible controller, and the size of the original xbox. ...that last part really worries me. good lord.

the new core i series are very good systems and a great upgrade option. The only problem is the numerous socket types, which from most 775 systems will cause you need a new mobo+cpu+ram. If you are looking for a total overhaul its a great choice. If there's a microcenter near you they have a i5 2500K + mobo combo for $300, and you can get a decent set of DDR3 dual channel ram for $50 - $80, so under $400 for a Sandy Bridge set up. I'm hoping to have a little extra after paying off medical bills with this loan I'm taking and possibly doing that upgrade myself.

Just had to get rid of the Win 7 Security 2011 virus off my sister in law's laptop. That was annoying.

I got the ThinkPoint virus earlier this year (leading to my decision to overhaul my computer). It was horrendous, and the damage could not be repaired.

you say $, so I'm guessing American. what's your location? I'd say the i5 2500K ( ) if you can get it for under $200 (www.microcenter.com), otherwise, going off newegg pricing... the C2D E8400, but seeing as how finding a decent 775 socket mobo is a pita right now, the Phenom II X4 965... if AM3 isn't in the same boat.. I'm not too sure with AMD processors. There's also the i5 650, on the 1156 socket, I wouldn't go Sandy Bridge without a K series cpu.

You know what... let them. I hope Apple wins it. Touchwiz is a bloated mess, almost as bad as motoblur. And honestly, from actual reviews to layman's impressions, I've heard "iPhone envy" or "iPhone like" when talking about the Galaxy S and Touchwiz 3.0 interface and experience. I can kind of see it. Anything to get manufacturer's to actually think through what they put on top of Android before bogging it down with crap.

I want to jump into a conversation from another thread Do me a favor. Go straight to New Vegas once you start the game. The most direct route. Without mods or messing around with the console, etc. Let me know how your exploration goes. It's like a recurring theme around here to completely ignore what I was talking about. Doing that is willingly skipping the most of what NV has to offer. Of course you aren't going to like the game if you willing take the most linear approach. Yes the game has a definitive ending, but its your choice to zero in on that story and goal and skip over the world experience you were talking about. Just because the definitive ending is there, doesn't mean you have to rush into it.

That happened to me with AC2. Each time I went in to pay on it, I made sure to stress "PS3 version" and then when I went to pay it off that Monday, the manager tells me the whole time it was for 360. And they were out of PS3 slots. So he calls the other store (which is literally in the parking lot of the mall the one I was at is in), does some work, and has a PS3 paid off and ready for me come that midnight. whew.

nightlies for the Galaxy S version of CM, which is still in development and not officially a part of Cyanogenmod.. so a port. Still a number of bugs to be worked out, but from what I've read is its reasonable for everyday use currently. I'm running into some trouble... but it sounds like most are my own doing. My next phone will probably be a Inspire 4G (aka AT&T Desire HD), which is officially supported by CM, and will have CM 7 Final.
