I think the trick to the groin shot is getting them on their knees like that, then kicking them. The kick is what triggers Mercy, I think. I haven't actually pulled off Mercy yet. I've done a few groin shots that resulted in the animation, though. It just doesn't give points beyond a standard kill without the mercy kick.

This run through actually provides some great tips... 12000 points too, in under 5 minutes. And Dean, as you can see in this video, there are actually a number of environmental kills. Voodoo Doll, Shocker, Vertigo, I saw one just called Enviromental. Ding Dong and Tenderizer could also count as environmental kills. Too bad at the end the guy misses French Revolution and gets Chain Reaction again, that would have jumped his score more. Also she says to "stop farting around, the building sounds unhappy"

Yea, beyond the natural redhead as a blonde choice, judging by other movies I've seen her in, she just seems more Mary Jane than Gwen Stacey. I'll be honest, I'm still going to see this movie, I'm just really wanting to see some trailers or footage soon to win me over. Biggest gripe is 3D. Probably won't even utilize it, like the Green Hornet and the dozens of other "3D" live action movies.

yea, at $400 I'm going to have to pass, unfortunately. hell, at $250 I'll probably have to pass for a while. Since this was just the announce, hopefully at E3 they'll have some more new content to show and a definitive launch lineup. As for the size, it looks slightly larger than a PSP, hell I thought it was the same size as the PSP when I first saw the pictures, until kotaku did that scale chart. And while it may be big, it looks thin. Like way thin. With only a flash media, it saves on thickness and heft, so while it may be bigger around than the original PSP, it should be about the same weight or less, I would imagine, right? Either way this thing looks amazing, and that's the first time I've thought that about a Playstation console at announcement since the PS2. I was originally skeptical about the PSP and the PS3, but ended up getting both. also, Dean, where'd you find confirmation about the 3G and non 3G flavors? That's great news, if they decide to make it tied to carrier discretion. Hell I didn't know there were 3G devices that didn't require mobile carrier support.

D: That sounds... awesome. Too bad its probably taken out. One thing I'd love to see in a game like this, is in a nod to the DOOM franchise and other fps games from yesteryear, have the ability to have a bunch of guns at once (like 8 or 9), character models be damned, and add a quip in there like "where are you hiding all those guns?" "what does it matter, I'm just that fucking awesome!!" Too many times it seems you have to choose between 2-3 weapons to carry on your person for realism's sake. I was glad when Doom 3 decided not to follow suit, was thinking Bulletstorm would also reject this.

yea, that was a cutscene exported and built to run on the NGP. but I think yakuza was the real deal. according to the liveblog on playstation blog kojima mentions before the clip that it was a "future perspective"

I like the idea of playing a game on your console, loading it to your portable to continue from where you left off on the go, then back to your console when you get back home.

no, I think Uncharted, LBP and some of the others are the real deal, basically, if there's gameplay, its going to happen, if its just a cutscene (MGS4) its showing potential and discussing the capabilities of the system.
