  1. I understand all the Lucky Star hate, but I still like it. It's not for everyone, though, so I went with Galaxy Angel instead.
  2. Now THIS is a party: http://bit.ly/h26I8I

    1. Mudkip3DS

      Mudkip3DS

Stop trying to bully me into buying a 360, minty :(

    2. Pheermee
  3. From now on, whenever we do quick match as a team and get put into a lobby with high-level people, we need to leave, reason being that if they were there before us: 1) They're hosting and 2) Recent history has shown that they have an ass internet connection (PU5H, sahelkhan)
  4. KMFDM is not associated with Massive Attack in any way. At least I think they aren't.
  5. As far as cute goes, I would direct you to perhaps the most tightly-scripted comedy anime ever created: Galaxy Angel. It's not for everyone, but it's iconic for lots of different reasons, most notably the jokes. It's not for everyone, but it's iconic for lots of different reasons, most notably the jokes. The other series I mentioned, K-On, Hidamari Sketch, Potemayo, Ichigo Mashimaro are all lighthearted slice-of-life comedies, though Hidamari has a very sedated pace (but unique visual style). For a much more straight comedy, I would also recommend Seto no Hanayome, which I had more fun watching than any comedy in recent memory. Most cute series tend to be slice-of-life stuff, and are usually slower-paced, but fun to watch. Kamichu is another fantastic series in that vein, with a fantastic studio behind it. Jimmeh mentioned Azumanga Daioh, which is a now-legendary comedy, which I still haven't been able to sit through, personally. The manga is unparalleled, though. Also, try watching the first episodes of some of the stuff I mentioned in my first post. This season is WAY above the usual average with regards to good series. Panty & Stocking, Kuragehime, and The World God Only Knows are all great shows, as are the others in my list (though you may not appreciate SRW for all the giant robots and cheesiness). It's incredible. Very meta.
  6. There are so many genres and subgenres that it's difficult to give a blanket recommendation. What types of genres do you typically enjoy?
  7. Currently working my way to 1000/1000 on Nier. Lost Odyssey's final cheevo is next, followed by a hesitant second runthrough of Eternal Sonata.
  8. I'll play the PC version to mingle with a different crowd, but we'll all be playing the 360 version mainly. It'll take several months for the PC crowd to catch up in skill level.
  9. Paprika isn't a Ghibli film, but a Satoshi Kon film, and it's a mess. Go watch Perfect Blue or (the sublime) Millennium Actress instead. Actually, just go watch Millennium Actress. I dare say it's better than anything Ghibli has ever made.
  10. I might also get onto the em en see. I'd like to get a huge group going for some private match shenanigans.
  11. I plan to watch Bantorra over the holiday season, as well as catch up on various shit I've missed (Sora no Woto, Bakemonogatari, Ookiku Furikabutte) This season, I've watched (or finished watching) - Otome Youkai Zakuro (I'm a sucker for good shoujo) - Index II (now with 93% less Kuroko!) - Panty & Stocking (2nd biggest surprise of the season) - SRWOG: The Inspectors (FUCK YEAH SRWOG) - Kuragehime (biggest surprise of the season) - The World God Only Knows (is as excellent as the source material) - Ore no Imouto (Hideyuki Kurata + AIC = LOVE) And of the things I sampled but dropped: - Ika Musume (How NOT to do a moé series. See K-On, Ichigo Mashimaro, Potemayo, and Hidamari Sketch for superior examples) - Yosuga no Sora (which had plenty of explicit secks, and I may pick it up again because I hear it's quite lulzy)
  12. digging through old mixes for things to discard to make space. prolleh not gettin' rid o' thissun, tho.
  13. Pre-ordered this yesterday. Plan to order my Sager this week, too. Uber deserves more of my money than I have to give. Also preordered this: I'll cancel the preorder for my special edition if the Capcom Store's offering is cooler.
  14. I knew it wouldn't work against them, but I know their team only goes Tank + Gunner + Assault on that map because it's hard NOT to hold the center of the arena in close quarters with a team of shootan classes.
  15. I'm starting to think that we need to revise our strategy for LazeRazor. While I like that it's easy and works well against teams that suck at objective, we'll need to go back to holding the center of the arena to keep the Annihilator and routes out of the enemy base locked down.
  16. Well, Pheer, we played a good team last night. They were just able to get away with a lot more than normal because host advantage is the greatest protection against headshots. :/
  17. After the Shammas/PU5H/Feedle match, I got into a few matches with Hudson and Bolt that they dropped out of after it became clear that I was going to juice on any turret they created. Made me feel a little better.
  18. She's getting Spinzaku'd

  19. That holds true for nearly any chapter, yes, but four was the most fun, even though I'd have to say that five was my favorite because of spoilerific reasons.
  20. 1. Alan Wake 2. Bayo-chan 3. Monday Night Combat 4. Mass Effect 2 5. Deadly Premonition 6. Kainé
  21. Alternately, we could just spawn camp them for 15 minutes and then rush their ball in overtime as-is without touching the juice machines.
  22. He said that juice was not necessary for balance purposes and the game could be played without juice. That's his point. Because it CAN be played sans juice, juice is unnecessary (I can see him struggling to not use the word "cheap," which would expose him as a talentless scrub). Pheer has the right idea. Everybody go Support, leave the center room alone, and juice in our base to keep our turrets up, then go rush their base without juice to win in OT.
  23. See, THAT would prove his point. And make him happy.
  24. It bears repeating: *ahem* "The problem I see here is not that juice is important, but that you are trying to use an exclusively pro-killing class (Assassin) to invade the enemy base. Assassins aren't built for that, and that is why you need a balanced team." Also: "An no "you just need to get better" or "you need to learn to work as a team" arguments please, you have no idea of my skill level and how I play." Oh, I know EXACTLY what your skill level is and how you play. You all should descend on him like a swarm of buzzers on a level 0 Assassin with no cloak.
