  1. PV has always been great. It looks a bit dated but it's still packed full of awesome features.
  2. Those mods sound nice. Are they in the witcher mod nexus or whatever it's called?
  3. ^I've ordered it without the milk. They mentioned it would be really strong... It was strong but not overly so. It was more... full.
  4. Metro is a design language. You can use it in different ways. Office 2013 looks less Metro than Windows 8 as a whole. Which is why I think it looks fine on Windows 7. I mean really, the big difference is a lack of transparency.
  5. Metro "debuted" on Windows Phone 7, if we want to talk about using it across a whole OS.
  6. $60 for a subscriptionless MMO? Sounds like a bargain to me.
  7. So $7.50 or $5? (Too lazy to convert that but it's $14.99 USD full price on GMG and $9.99 on GoG)
  8. I got excited but it's only a dollar off compared to GoG's normal price...
  9. What? Are you even dissing on Metro? The discussion here is that you seem to think that Windows 8 owns Metro. Metro is not OS specific. It existed before Windows 8, has been used on WIndows 7 applications, and is being brought to even more Windows 7 applications.
  10. You're assuming that Metro is OS specific rather than a general design language. That's like assuming the Android Design Guidelines are only for ICS and higher. They just fit best in ICS and up.
  11. If you got it on Steam while it's on sale on GoG you should.
  12. I can think of plenty that makes it a bad game: Difficulty spikes, forcing guns off/on you due to cutscenes, rail sequences, hypocritical dialogue and story actions (the most obvious example is the scene where max is like "i'm so clumsy" and immediately does the most acrobatic shit ever when he shoots a rope and is pulled up three stories on a pulley while killing dudes before landing at on a platform up top), a convoluted forced feeling grimdark plot, badly done checkpoints, forcing you to die even though you have painkillers just because you can't shoot through a wall and hit the enemy who was shooting you because you fell over (the worst part of that is you see your hopeless situation in slow-motion), and an overabundance of cutscenes. What is great about the game are the core shooting mechanics. Quite frankly, they're amazing (barring the aforementioned "last stand" thing), and really satisfying. I wish I had more opportunity to play the multiplayer and the other modes so I could experience them more.
  13. Why are you being so stubborn here? Apps don't have to use the OS's theme and more often than not they use their own rather than Aero. I would be very surprised to suddenly see apps using both Aero and Metro. I gave you an example of metro on Windows 7 that was a first party app. Why are you refusing to see that giant image I posted? Metro exists independent of any OS.
  14. My steam sale purchases so far: The Longest Journey Thief series GTA series (never owned them on PC except for GTA1)
  15. I guess it counts as an origin story of sorts for one character... but even then it's more of just a story and not so much an origin. Highly recommended either way.
  16. I was showing a Metro app that isn't even on Windows 8 and won't be. Elements of Metro have also appeared in their other products on Windows.
  17. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metro_%28design_language%29
  18. Don't play it if you want a game at all. It's a movie with a few playable parts.
  19. Metro exists outside of Windows 8. It predates Win 8.
  20. Why would it go Aero on Win 7 when their focus is on Metro? Anyways, I like the overall look, haven't messed with it too much though. Trying out Outlook which I previously thought was convoluted and a giant hassle to use. It's going better this time around.
  21. It seems like this just came out but apparently it was a 2010 release. Time flies...
  22. https://www.google.com/search?q=cat+milk Doesn't look like it.
  23. Pushy-downy coffee for me. French press? That's what I use. Not perfect, but better than a drip machine or instant.
  24. Black. Sometimes a lil' natural sugar. I'm not a total coffee snob but I definitely can't stand folgers and anything similar. It's absolute shit. Starbucks will do (both buying it in a shop and/or using their beans) but that's about as low as I can go. I've been spoiled greatly with easy access to Stumptown beans and grounds over the past year. Mostly the Holler Mountain blend which is very easy to drink daily.
