Isn't that a bit short-sighted? Now that you can't buy games are you going to pirate? What about the implications of what you just said? Do you think it's okay to pirate just because you're broke? Expand a little! (not a lot though, since so much has already been covered but it's always nice to hear a different viewpoint.)

that's far to much uploading, which means you have to have it downloaded in the first place, and it doesn't give you anywhere near the level of control a lot of us want. not to mention the low quality of streaming isn't a positive.

I'm making the point that "dumbed down" has nothing to do with graphics. I know of the differences between them. Dumbed down is a gameplay term.

It should say it in the review or wherever you're buying it from. It'll be named "Sapphire HD Radeon 4850" or whatnot. It should also be very prominent on the packaging itself.

Black Swan is closer to Pi in terms of the effect it should have on you as it's similar in the deconstruction of the main character and the surreal moments that character experiences.

If it's anything like the other 30 vs 50 vs 70 comparisons... you can likely just overclock the 6930 to the 6950s levels without any issues and save some money.

This is another case of trying to get the person who walks by to be interested. "OH MAN LOOK AT THAT CHAIN SAW THAT GUY LOOKS SCARY" vs "...what the hell is this? Oh, it's a resident evil game." Plus, given how RE4 actually played... the US art is more accurate.

Yeah, what is meant by "not running well?" That could mean the game itself isn't running smoothly or it could mean that the netcode is crap.

I disagree with KI being fine for its time. It wasn't nearly as solidly built as Street Fighter 2 (especially once they started tweaking the gameplay and adding pre-fixes) and it wasn't up to MKs low standards either and that ridiculous video is proof of that. The game just doesn't flow. I've played all of these titles within the past 6 months (I even was taught KI at the time I played it and the guy was pointing out how terrible it was and how broken it is) and KI definitely stands up the least. I played KI, SF2, and MK... 3 (i think) on SNES and then tried UMK3 with an emulator on my phone again. KI is definitely miles behind the other games.

Most of those walls of texts, even the ones that end up on the front page, aren't very thought provoking though. They're typically long and convoluted.

It seems some of you don't think "downloaders remorse" exist. Time is greater than money, is it not? If you download a bad game, you still think "wow why did i waste my time with this?" instead of "why did i waste my money on this?' To me the enjoyment level is going to be the same. I guess I don't have the mindset "well this isnt worth my purchase it's worth my download" because I don't play enough games to ever want to play something mediocre. I try to keep the quality level up at all times. Any game I pirate I do with the idea that yes, I'm broke now, but if it's worth the download, then one day it will be worth my money. I pirate much less when I have the money to spare.

I disagree with it being beautifully written. I find the themes and concepts to be far more outstanding than the actual writing itself and that's where the legacy lies and where the influence comes from.

Since you can see 1984 in so many other works it wasn't as powerful to me since it all seemed so familiar. I don't think the writing itself flows that smoothly, either. The ending though is definitely excellent.
