Btw Guardians of the Galaxy is great.

Do you remember when bad meant good?

It could have USB passthrough for power. My computer has that.

And people wonder why I fight so hard against the people that believe language should just be whatever is the popular meaning of something

Gaming Tropes That Need to GO

Simple solution that many games offer: Let you turn it off. That's what I usually do about 1/3rd of the way in. -

I started Annilihation by Jeff Vandermeer after finishing Gun Machine. A surreal Roadside Panic (the book STALKER is based off of) sort of vibe involving 4 scientists who go into the zone area x to chart unknown territory and figure out the mysteries of the place. They're the 12th team to make this expedition and the experiences have varied greatly for each expedition. Lots of weird ass stuff going on involving both the characters and the way they interact with each other and the world they're explorig. I really like it so far. The pacing is nuts. I went back to check on something earlier in the book and was blown away just how much was packed into 7 pages. I'm only about 40 in but I feel like it would be about 120 into any other novel. Saying that, it's not Dostoevsky, it's easy to read through it. I guess there's just absolutely zero filler. -
Sorry but that looks cheesy as fuck. Occasionally I read episode synopsis and it sounds okay but I feel like if it was anything else it would be considered just another show.

Marvel Cinematic Universe

Maybe Nathan Filion was in that post-credits scene. I'm really not sure if I'm joking or not. -

I thought that was nice and easy as well. -
Marvel Cinematic Universe

I like Deadpool and even just recently finished the entire run of Cable & Deadpool... and that wasn't very good. It's too much later years Deadpool and not nearly as clever or fun as it could be. -
Can't you push to individual devices with Pushbullet for free?
-
I'm not sure 1) How an Android update would do that to a non-integrated app 2) if you're even reading the process list correctly 3) why you're using the Steam app 4) Why you even care about running processes. You really haven't had to in years unless your battery life is noticeably crippled by something like an app that won't stop running

I've been reading Warren Ellis' Gun Machine. Terrible fucking title (well it's starting to make sense more than halfway through at least) but this is a damn enjoyable read so far. He turned down the absurdity in this one and brought it more in line with his comics that aren't insane concepts like Black Summer. This is a book that matches the wit and enjoyment of his works like Transmetropolitan instead. There's a lot more substance here rather than shock value and style. A huge improvement over his first book. -
Fucking ancient. Come on. Just look at the date.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_private_server Leads from what Ethan linked. On that page there is this: "A VPS which is dynamic (that is, it can be changed at runtime) is often referred to as a cloud server." From my understanding, I am by no means an expert whatsoever, sounds like multiple servers that are linked and can be changed instantly...and yeah. This seems to be where cloud storage and cloud computing meet...and some people are fine with cloud storage but not the computing aspect. Or they have doubts about it. Like I said earlier, the only thing I don't like is the usage of "cloud." But it isn't the end of the world for me...I don't demand they change it or I'll go back and live in a cave or anything. lol Hell, I'm surprised someone hasn't said, "But Vecha...why are you ok with the usage of Farm instead of cloud?" Well invisible questioner, I feel "farm" gives a better visualization...but opinions and stuff, Lol I don't think it's as simple as this. Google does tape backups. I'm pretty sure Amazon does, too. It's more complex than any words we're using to describe which just brings it back to the fact that "cloud" is meant to mean all of this shit at once if it's used properly.

Eh, his suit is not neon yellow.

I'm not seeing the context here.

What's virtual about them?
-
I mention both storage and cloud storage. As in, one that is physically there with you, and one that is spread across magical server farms known as "the cloud."
-
So if you don't care about holding onto things why don't you buy digital?
-
Considering how cheap storage and also how cheap cloud storage is becoming this really shouldn't be an issue anymore. Especially if you truly care about this which you are acting like you do.

Have you read Murakami before? Not really something I'd recommend to start with for him. I have not...but what would you recommend? And could you go into detail why it isn't good to start with? And NOW I remember the author's name...Thomas Pynchon!...Really enjoy his books. I'd start with Kafka on the Shore, Hard-Boiled Wonderland, or Dance Dance Dance. Dance Dance Dance is a sequel to A WIld Sheep Chase but you'd never notice if you didn't read it. 1Q84 is dense and IMO just not very concise. The writing just doesn't flow like it does in his other novels. -
If you have a gaming computer just get a chromebook or something fucking cheap. Totally not worth sacrificing portability (though that looks okay in that regard) for power. Though I'm spoiled and inherited an ultrabook.

But if for whatever reason I have to uninstall it, or get a new computer or whatever, it being removed from the server will prevent me from installing it again in the future. Because you're banking everything into DRM-filled services like Steam instead of glorious GoG and the Humble Store.
