So you don't think that content DLC should cost anything? They should just make their money off cosmetic DLC? What sort of DLC for a game like this is okay for it to be paid? They're already offering maps for free. Charging for new hunters and monsters makes sense as they basically are the game.

For this I just fall back on the main game. If you don't think that DLC and monsters are worth it keep in mind that the main game itself is only 12 hunters and 3 monsters. So your issue isn't the DLC. It's the pricing of the entire game.

What makes a good and a bad season pass? They clearly outlined the content of the DLC when it went up for pre-ordering. That's all that needs to be done. Be specific so people know what they're getting so they can make the decision to get it or not. Still not getting the internet tirade against this. People are actually upset about transparency after bitching about wanting more of it.

There was like 9 reported cases total out of like 10 million phones sold. AKA complete non-issue. I have a mini power bank that holds a full charge. Fits in my pocket. It's maybe twice the thickness of a pen? Probably a little larger. The brick-sized ones wouldn't really work for me.

See: Season Passes. It's as relevant as what I'm responding to. Pre-ordering gets you one of the DLCs for free. You have a rather harsh attitude for someone who is so misinformed. In what way is that relevant? Your issue isn't with this game. It's with DLC in general.

What? The game comes with the only 3 monsters currently created out of the box. You're thinking of the Wraith, which you could use right away in the beta if you pre-ordered. It's included in the full game. The same thing can happen here of course. Can't imagine they would continue to support a game that doesn't make them money. None of them are. The only DLC available are skins. Which you're an idiot if you buy. Pre-ordering just got you the 4th monster, that isn't out yet, for free. Besides that there isn't a reason besides saving a few bucks if you really really trust that this game will do well and you want all of the DLC. All the beyond $60 packages do is save you a few bucks. I don't know anyone that actually purchased them. They all got the base game. Why? Because the game might not survive. Like I said, no one's forcing anyone to buy that stuff and it doesn't split the community. If the game survives then you have the option of just paying the $5 more that you would have saved.

^No one's forcing you to buy that additional content nor does the content split the community. You're upset that they were upfront about their plans instead of just hiding them like every other company does. Don't be so naive as to think that no one else plans this far out. In fact if you ever want the game to actually come out you're going to have to draw the line somewhere. Call that "deliberate" if you want but 1) none of the DLC is done and 2) the game would have taken another year to come out if they included it.

I only like this because the subbing is so terribly done at times I need to watch it in English because it's showing the wrong text. Why do I need to see 10 seconds of a translation of a screen saying "ALERT!" instead of the translation of what the characters are seeing? Seriously fucking awful. They need top and bottom subs. IIRC Amazon does this.

Why post an angry rant in the angry dome? It was fairly angry, including the words "fuck" and "academically murder" (presumably involving beating someone to death with a textbook). The whole point of this thread is to vent into the void, not to encourage considered debate on a topic. I guess this thread has established a much higher standard of anger than I'm used to if your post doesn't phase me.

Eh, I'm still a bit skeptical. What if the entire boss fight is different minus those 2 animations? Then again I'm also far too lazy and don't really care about this game enough to load up the videos for comparison.

I've been playing the new Shadow Warrior. It's fun and provides some mental jogging when trying to decide if it's racist or not.

Why are you killing background apps? If the system needs the RAM it will do it for you. You're just risking causing them to restart automatically which drains the battery more. For the love of god post your battery stats already. Are you rooted?

Given the amount of traveling I'm going to be doing I'm seriously considering a new 3DS + Xenoblade Chronicles 3DS. That time frame is right around when I should be getting a paycheck that isn't tied to my rent so it's a legitimate possibility. I fall into the "never owned a Wii so I never played it" camp.

I don't remember the DLC adding much. It was just one level that had zero impact on the story. I remember it being fun since you had a limited skill set but it's not anywhere close to essential. The benefit of the Director's Cut version is what Ethan pointed out.
