  1. It is masking the flavors because you're not used to it. That's my point. Something is making it more spicy. That something has flavor.
  2. Only people who can't handle spice say this. Chilis have flavor. Don't forget that.
  3. Apparently you guys haven't watched orange is the new black.
  4. You always play the same style? Doesn't that get boring?
  5. I find it hard to believe that there are 4 people out there who wouldn't have a smartphone or tablet between them especially given the target market.
  6. Life is Strange episode 1. Didn't know much about it going in so didn't really have expectations other than people seemed to like it so it's probably good. I loved it. It all felt very human and real. The thoughts you get to hear from the main character's head are exactly what a 18 year old would be thinking. In general the dialogue was spot-on and not at all awkward. Bonus points for it being the PNW and even including a drawing of the Fremont Troll which I used to live a block away from. Highly recommended for those into decision making, moral choice, dialogue based sort of games like what Telltale has done. My only gripe:
  7. Don't a lot of these people get hired by bigger companies who actually would be able to sue?
  8. To me it just sounds like a bunch of spoiled children not getting what they want. I'm sorry you're going to make slightly less money for your shitty commentary over a game you don't have anywhere near the talent or skills to produce yourself.
  9. How long does the episode take? I purchased it (it being the first ep) since it was cheap and interesting and I like this sort of thing so I'm wondering what sort of time to block out for it. If this is doable in a few hours (I imagine it is) I'll get to it this weekend since I haven't picked up a new game after AC3.
  10. So this changes... nothing then? That's my point here. This is better than it was before. Yet, in classic video game fan fashion, it's not good enough.
  11. People getting 70% is a lot better than getting 0%. I'm amazed at the reaction to this.
  12. From what I read of two sites combat seems to be meh but the rest is what you'd expect. So uh, kind of the way the whole series has gone?
  13. The proper western American phrasing would be "You'll get in hella trouble."
  14. I beat Assassin's Creed 3. Currently it's about 3 hours into the credits showing the over 3 million people that worked on the game across all of Ubisoft's studios. Anyways I thought this was pretty good. I finished it around 92%. Put in a little effort for side stuff but didn't waste a shitload of time. Would not have been fun to do that last part. Some brief thoughts: -This game looked really good. While old timey Boston and New York aren't really interesting cities they really feel more alive on the new engine thanks to animals and kids and just plain more shit on screen. The Frontier and the Homestead are where it really shined. -While it's still annoying to try and get down on stuff (apparently Unity has a "down" button now rather than a drop button) traversing has gotten a lot better. This is helped greatly by trees, being able to go around pillars, rock climbing, and other things that just make it feels like it just works. -Combat has improved a lot. Can't counter your way to victory against tough enemies. Though versus weaker enemies you'll still mercilessly slaughter people. -Modern story is still very WTF but at least there were some fun locations this time. -Connor's story on the other hand was great and the scope of the game was huge. I wasn't expecting 30 years across two different characters. They also didn't cast the patriots in the best light. Very cool. -Holy shit that item creation and trading system was bad. Those menus made me basically never use it. -Homestead on the other hand was great. Fun little missions that helped build up that community feel. -Boat stuff was awesome. Pretty obvious why they made all of AC4 like that. Overall I liked the experience. Now to wait for AC4 to get cheap. I did buy one of the King Washington DLCs. Time to see if they work standalone since I just jumped straight to third one. Honestly not too interested but it was like $2.50 during a sale so whatever. Update: Gave the 3rd King Washington a solid hour. Holy shit you're in constant level 1 notoriety and there's guards EVERYWHERE. Fuck this noise. I played 2 missions and couldn't handle the anxiety. Goodbye AC3, I won't let that DLC taint my memory of you.
  15. Ah, so this is the sort of thing RPS gets mad about. Perhaps there's just a different set of laws that prevent albums from instantly going up in the UK? I guess there is that new tax to deal with now on top of whatever copyright stuff there is.
  16. How exactly is MSFT supposed to support PC gaming more? I get that yeah they can bring more games over but what about on the OS level? I guess stuff like the recording features but really this complain has been around for like a decade and recording was not a deal then. What would people like them to do?
  17. Didn't she release it early because it leaked? Sounds like you could 'acquire' the album from somewhere and then purchase legitimately at the first opportunity. It's on Google Play Music. Isn't it on like every major download service?
  18. Surface Pro master race one day
  19. Did anyone else catch that awesome (and game changing) Venture Bros special that aired on Monday?

I did FDS. It was the best TV I've seen in a while, miss that show

  20. $60/3 monsters is $15. Expansion monster= $15. The pricing makes complete sense. To me this is like getting upset over a short game. You don't need to go on an internet tirade because you don't think a 6-hour experience is worth $60. Other people value the experience. I played Evolve and I can definitely see how this will be worth the money and I can see how you can get a lot of time out of it. The only people I know who pre-ordered did it at $60. They seem to think it's worth that but they'll wait on the DLC. People also seem to forget that DLC is completely fucking optional. This is also hilariously reminiscent of L4D2 but look how well that did in the end for an "expansion." But gamers love their double standards, don't learn from history, and will complain about anything without actually experiencing it or if it doesn't affect them at all.
  21. If you're going to mindlessly follow the bandwagon I'm going to call you out on it. Plain and simple. I find it shocking that people still don't understand that DLC is planned out before games are finished. Like seriously? You don't think that a game developer in 2015 is going to keep supporting their game? What rock have these people been living under?
  22. Not to mention that free support is over for Windows 7 so if you're the type who actually contacts Microsoft with questions that's now extended. So they make it easier to keep more people happy while earning money through apps and Office and whatnot.
