I got hung up on the Chapter 19 glitch (data on the cache gets corrupted). It was fairly panic inducing as the level would not even load, loading in to the previous chapter just brought me up to the same hang. However, finished it on Hard yesterday, need to do a crushing playthrough, then some Treasure and Trophy whoring on very easy or whatever it is after that. Great campaign. Not tried MP or Coop yet.

Fixed! Also, words that sound better in American: "ass" > "arse" even though "Ass" is a donkey sort of animal, and I refuse to use it. I will admit that "I'm gonna kick your ass." sounds a lot more... punchy, than "I'm going to kick your arse." Finally, "bastard" sounds better in the North of England (with the "a" pronounced like in "ass") than in the South where the "a" is pronounced as in "arse". Case in point...

Who's anti-AB? Thinking that Rovio are over-valuing themselves at $1.2 billion (which I do, 500 million copies reeks of market saturation and not much potential for growth for that game) is not the same as not liking Angry Birds.

Love Buzzcocks. Amstel is still the besterest they ever had.

I have never wanted an (English) Mars bar so much in my entire life.

They better let me build a flippin' empire! If I get a job as a janitor for the guy with the big house and end up in the same job with enough money to pay off the US deficit twice over I will be PISSED (and not as in drunk).

You can stack your plus subs. So you wouldn't be "fucked" as such, just well prepared.

The only way Home would "work" in my opinion is if Sony did something along the lines of the Battlefield / Battlelog thing. They would need to replace the XMB with Home. Have your games appear on a shelf in you apartment instead of in a menu, to add someone as a friend you need to do so through Home, make the PSN store a store within Home, etc. As it is, it's too far out of the average users path to get much traffic (as a % of user base, I'm sure there are 10,000s of people that do use it regularly). They would annoy a lot of people to begin with, but eventually they'd get used to it... or Sony would die a slow painful death.

I would, but my pings are so shit over on nearly all UK servers. When they fix rubberbanding on 64p conquest I will definitely give it a shot, though. I've been kinda sucking at BF3, though, and my SPM is pretty shit right now, so I'll probably be spending some time in squad deathmatch or team deathmatch to get better with some of the weapons and learn some of the maps. For those that are having trouble I'd definitely try that, it worked wonders in BC2. If you want to "practice" I'd go Co-Op. You can still earn upgrades and what not for MP, but you won't have the same mismatch as you might against humans.

True, in a Blair gov't we would have said "No". As for the legislative veto. It says he has "scrutinised" not "vetoed" 12 bills. Don't think this is any different to Royal Assent really. He could go around vetoing bills, but he'd soon lose the power to do so if it got out of hand. I love how changing the laws of succession is seen as modernising. If anything, I'm a royalist rather than a republican, but they do strike me as a little silly sometimes.

Sorry, those were two mutually exclusive opinions. Firstly I believe halloween to be a kids thing. Secondly, I am delighted not to go all out for it like americans seem to.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-15518173 Another step along the way to an internationally recognised Palestinian state, or legitimising a terrorist regime? Either way I think it's a pity that the UK didn't have the stones to vote one way or the other. Personally, I think they should be recognised. Israel has a troubling level of influence over the US imho.

What's a "Sark"? Also, I agree with Dean. It's a kids thing. I'm glad we don't get balls deep in it like the Yanks do.

In England you dress up in masks and stuff, pretend to be upset about a lack of jobs and the unaccountability of police, then you go up to shop windows, shout something about wanting your taxes back, throw a brick and take whatever you want. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukpress/article/ALeqM5gDWwdaSHWAFJNlqImv1J2glpZS3Q?docId=N0356241319975711955A

Like most here, I understand and sympathise with the motivation for the protests, but am mystified as to the direction they want to take, let alone the destination they want to reach.

You can play BF3 single player offline. Obviously you can't play the multiplayer offline...

DRM, Online Pass, Project Ten Dollar and the like

Yeah, what Dean said. I should have been more clear. Sony get the initial pricing of all digital content very wrong, or at least have done in the past. They seem to be improving now. -
I think that's a good early line-up. It'll be a cold day in hell before Activision join in though.

I agree with Strangelove and Rocky. IV was a grey dirge next to Vice City. The story was bleak, the character was entirely lacking in ambition, the story went nowhere. Vice City had its faults for sure. But IV tried so hard to be technically brilliant (and I'll admit, it succeeded) but along the way it completely lost all of the over the top fun of Vice City. I don't want to call up my cooooseen for a ride in his taxi. I don't want to have to baby sit a bunch of whiny friends. I want to pimp about in helicopters. I want to amass millions of dollars and buy up half the city. I want characters who used to shoot me on sight to end up showing me deference and say "Hey Mr V!" as I stroll past them to my (not)Lamborghini. I swear to god, if I end up with billions upon billions of dollars in V with nothing to spend it on, and marry some bint from the block I will never buy another GTA again.

I've got one of those stupid plastic bins to put food stuff in now. The bags they give you are fucking retarded. They are paper thin and degrade within a couple of days. I get that they are supposed to degrade swiftly to minimise environmental impact, but seriously, make them last a couple of weeks at least so that they can get from my house, to the weekly rubbish collection, to the tip before spilling shit everywhere.

I think so. Not 100% on that though.

I think digital pricing in general is something that will improve over time. Valve get it very very right. Sony, largely get it very very wrong. EA don't exactly get it right either. I was fairly impressed to see the pricing for the PSN version of BF3 is £49.99 which is only £10 over the odds (compared to Game), rather than the ridiculous £54.99 for FIFA. (I know it's still not as cheap as it should be, but at least it is moving in the right direction). -
Dean, I had a similar login problem. My email and pw weren't recognised, then I logged in on PS3, redeemed passes etc and played a couple of rounds. I can now log-in just fine. Think you may need to be installed and registered to access battlelog.

At least he came back to open the door.
