  1. Peak Designs went from being the backpack of revolutionaries to a pariah brand overnight. What a ride!

  2. Playing Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1&2 remastered. I'm loving the nostalgia, but lord knows how I played these in the past. They tell you nothing. Like trying to navigate to the next area is "X place is to the East of Nosgoth" like, cool. But there is no map other than a world map. Games used to be so hard man! I love the dialogue. Some amazing insults, love hearing some received pronunciation "Degenerate!" being thrown around.
  3. I played Horizon VR with 2kg wrist weights on, and let me tell you, it is hard firing a heavy bow constantly.
  4. Well... Shit. At least it's only 4 more years?

Hopefully it's only 4 more years, I don't put anything past them.

That's why I need to talk to my older brother and 55yo mom to maybe put together or at least think of contingencies of saving our collective prosperity (from the foundations of my great-grandparents and grandparents to what my parents' and my gen has built on top of said foundation. Generational wealth in other words) if relations with China really goes south or turns hot. I have heard enough to worry.

And to be fair, I won't be surprised if the Dems are the ones to pull the trigger.

  5. Isn't the opposite of a Nazi a communist? Asking for an electorate...

  6. Bought myself this little beauty (except with a rubber strap instead of leather, don't need animals to die for a watch). Ordered it November last year, but it only turned up a few weeks ago:
  7. I love my electric car. Don't have range anxiety at all these days now infrastructure is better, and charging speeds are such that by the time I've had a coffee, snack, toilet break, I've got more than enough to get to my next stop along the way.
  8. It's a good point, the whole Astrobot premise is great in terms of being able to absorb current popular culture or trends, so it always feels "current", the downside of that is that it lacks a bit of its own identity. Reminds me a bit of Ubisoft's Rabbids in that respect. Astros are more cute/wholesome vs Rabbids more chaotic/mischievous but otherwise similar pros and cons.
  9. Not saying that it is wrong or anything, just as an outsider, it's a weird thing to look at. Like we have Party Conferences/conventions in the UK, but they are very different affairs. They are built around: 1) Selling the leadership to the party members (which seems to tie in with the purpose of US conventions); and 2) Selling the government policies to the voters. (Which seemed absent from the convention, or was drowned out by the entertainment aspect in international news coverage). There is absolutely no entertainment element to them.
  10. You have to go for the centre if you want to be in power. Your best bet if you want to change things is try to nudge the centre ever leftwards. On another note, the DNC was one of the most unserious things ever. Like everyone looks at the UK doing their whole Black Rod thing and be like "ah, how esoteric, such pantomime" and then the US just come out with like... a concert? Rappers announcing political candidates, very strange to an onlooker indeed.
  11. I enjoyed the world and exploring as a cat. Agree it was more "walking sim" than anything else with the odd chase sequence. I played it for free on PS plus so was happy with the game overall.
  12. Not so much "beat" as played till I was sated, Helldivers 2. Will give it a break while they sort out balancing issues and maybe return if the Illumninate turn up. Also finished Assassin's Creed Mirage. Good, old-fashioned Assassaning, and Dave the Diver which was mostly fun, but started to wear a little thin toward the end. Started Jedi Survivor, seems to be more Jedi-ing about, which is good.
  13. Yup, and I am totally fine with games being made for people other than me.
  14. One of those games that looks amazing, but I will never play because it's aesthetic is too male gaze-y for my tastes. See also: Bayonetta, MGSV, Neir Automata.
  15. I'm so annoyed Amazon added ads to Prime Video. I don't want to sit through ads, and I really don't want to give Amazon more money.
  16. Oooh, pro, nice, I went for the 6 regular back in the day. It's served well up to now. Reckon I'll be looking to upgrade to the 9 or more likely 10.
  17. Is that the 8? I've got a Pixel 6, but can't really tell the generations apart.
  18. The PTSD from the giraffe and waterfall platforming sections in Lion king, and escaping a lava filled cavern on a magic carpet in Aladdin is still too raw.
  19. Yeah, lack of Alia was a pity. Her being "captured" and delivering the cup of grass to Baron was great in the books. Interested to see if they bring back Jason Momomomomomoa, and how they handle "Alia is a freak now." stuff, and what the Tleilaxu look like... There's a lot of content in Messiah, but a lot of it is politics talk. I can see it being a struggle to bring to the big-screen.
  20. Which missing bit irked you? I read Villeneuve wanted this to be a "Bene Gesserit" take on the story, so was prepared for mentats to take a back seat.
  21. Hell? Diverse! is so gooooood! I really want them to do some metaverse crossover stuff.
  22. You use the Moonveil weapon ash to cut through all the mobs. Once you get to the boss you summon the blakck knife spirit, throw down the magic boosty thing, chug the infinite magic + extra damage flask, point in the general direction of the bad man, and Comet Azur the shit out of them. Failing that, you slap on Rivers of Blood and weapon ash everything.
