  1. My Android phone has the exact functionality I mentioned: all the apps are available from the "apps" menu, and I can put shortcuts on the main screen if I wish, but they're just shortcuts, and removing them does not remove the app from my phone. It's an HTC Incredible 2 with Verizon, if you're curious. Anyway, I am totally happy with my Vita as a purchase. Never received Uncharted: Golden Abyss, but I've already beat Gravity Rush, Escape Plan and Mecho Wars (a Mini) and have liked all of them. Gravity Rush in particular was awesome. I'm kind of sad that it's Vita-only and therefore won't get as large an audience as it deserves.
  2. What they've shown might be limited by what's complete enough to show. Just hypothesizing though, it's not as if it's unheard of for devs to promise the sun and the moon and fail to deliver.
  3. Over the last several days I beat Gravity Rush (platted it also), Escape Plan and Mecho Wars. Gravity Rush was awesome, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has a Vita. I loved Mecho Wars, but I think that's mostly because I love Advance Wars so much and it's a pretty good (if simplified) clone. Escape Plan was good enough that I don't regret buying it, though it wasn't anything to write home about. *Edit* - Definitely not regretting my Vita purchase though, which is actually kind of unusually for me.
  4. I just think the dash is ugly. I don't have a problem with having it be icons like my phone, because I agree that makes sense for a touch screen, but their specific icons and layout and such is ugly. I also don't like that there's no way to remove an icon without removing the app altogether. There should be some kind of menu so not everything has to be on the main screen(s). Where the page thing is especially pointless is for going to trophies or settings, which obviously don't have a manual or anything. I'm not opposed to the pages being there like if you get out of a game with the PS button, it's just that they're there before I launch the game that's irritating.
  5. Nah, it could only stream over a network if you modded it and put a media app on it.
  6. I can't stand the look of the Vita's dashboard, it's fucking retarded. I do like that stuff like trophies is an actual app though, rather than just being a nested list like in XMB. I do NOT like that after I click an icon I then have to click "start" on the page that pops up. It's irritating and pointless.
  7. Since I'm currently visiting my wife's grandparents I don't have access to the vast majority of my games. I already knocked out Escape Plan (good) and Mecho Wars (fantastic) on the Vita yesterday, and I'll probably add Gravity Rush and Touch My Katamari to the list by the end of the week. Might also add some DS games, who knows.
  8. Agreed the d-pad blows on the 360 pad, it just doesn't bother me much because I almost never play games that require anything more than just using it to switch equipment/activate a flashlight/etc. Though I was able to play Sonic 1, 2 and 3 with it just fine.
  9. Just added it to my Amazon wish list. Might pick it up this week if I get bored with the Vita games I already have.
  10. Yeah, Company of Heroes is great, I'm really looking forward to CoH2.
  11. Leaving to visit my wife's grandparents tomorrow, probably won't be on here much until next Saturday.

I'll still have my phone, and they have... dial up...

Um... we found the Jade Monkey, sir... it was in the glove compartment.

  12. Your first post is a double post, what are we going to do with you?
  13. Agreed about the free crossplay. I just played the Unit 13 demo. It was pretty cool, I'm considering getting the game.
  14. Oh yeah, I'm well aware that having individuals run for individual offices will inevitably lead to two major parties. I would love to change our system to proportional representation.
  15. Fallout: NV is also a save-anywhere game, you don't have to rely on the auto-saves.
  16. Done, if you already voted please re-vote. I divided it into Home Systems, Handhelds and Legacy. *Edit* - And I discovered that if you just edit a poll the results remain, so we should be able to add new consoles as they release, although the legacy category is maxed out with 20 entries, and you're only allowed 3 polls.
  17. Merged your post into this thread.
  18. I didn't realize it had a magnetic sensor, I thought it was just inertial/gravitational... maybe I was standing too close to the TV or something and the field was throwing it off? I'll have to try it again, see if I can figure out what the problem is.
  19. The scene after the credits is slightly different in the new 4th-option ending, but that's it.
  20. I tried a couple of lightgun game demos when I first got my move, and the reticule always drifted to where I was having to recalibrate every few minutes to keep it pointed where I was aiming. That is not how I want to play a game.
  21. If I edit the polls to add the Vita and 3DS will it mess up the existing votes?
