  1. Yeah, the right acts like anything short of a Christian theocracy is persecution.
  2. When I make another character I'm going to follow that guide that was posted earlier and make a cat brawler and go punch some motherfucking dragons in their motherfucking faces.
  3. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
  4. I bought it through Origin, which it appears doesn't auto-update games, so how do I get the patch? *Edit* - Also, sadly I think the only one of those skins I might want to use would be the Batman Beyond one. The TAS one is awesome but doesn't go with the aesthetic of the world at all.
  5. I think he meant Netflix is ugly, and Netflix isn't Metro. I agree it's ugly, but it's still more usable than the PS3 version. At least you can see more than 3 movies on the screen at a time.
  6. Yep, we'd call those crackers too.
  7. Huh, when I read scone I always imagined something like a hard crescent roll (what the hell, the Wikipedia "crescent roll" article redirects to croissant, and I am definitely not talking about a croissant...), didn't realize it was just a regular old biscuit. *Edit* - This is what a crescent roll should look like:
  8. By asking. "What kind" Acceptable responses include: chocolate chip oatmeal Oreos snicker doodles sugar cookies ginger bread peanut butter etc etc *Edit* - lol, looks like I was third in line.
  9. A chocolate chip cookie? Unless you're talking about the things on the left, in which case they have a name but I can't think of it off the top of my head, but it's still considered a type of cookie. We'd call the things in the middle ginger bread men too, but all a ginger bread man is is a ginger bread cookie that's shaped like a man.
  10. Yeah, they're definitely more of a cracker texture than a cookie (which I believe is what you're referring to when you say biscuit). And you haven't lived until you've had s'mores.
  11. I see you got the child-killer mod.
  12. One of my friends once said he hates pandas because they won't even fuck to save their own species.
  13. Yeah, I've never understood what people have against the Library. And I agree that the visuals are too busy, but overall they did a surprisingly good job of staying true to the style considering it's an entirely different group of people working on it.
  14. I see this viewpoint brought up repeatedly when discussing cloning extinct animals, despite how retarded it is. When was the last time you heard of elephants escaping the zoo and starting a breeding population in the wild?
  15. PXOD writers, need feedback on my AC:R review on gdocs

  16. And that's fine, no one's saying you can't like Call of Duty. But that doesn't mean it's flawless. I mean, I said above: The rest of the quote, so I'm not misquoting myself, though the above is the only part relevant to my point:
  17. Hahaha! A similar thing happened to me when I accidentally fried my old processor by not getting a good thermal connection between it and the heatsink; I'd been wanting to upgrade, and that gave me the excuse I needed. I think I was less upset than most people would have been.
  18. If it makes you feel any better though, those complaints are completely overshadowed by the awesomeness of the game. I'd forgotten all about them by the time I finished.
  19. I constantly tell my wife she could stand to gain a few pounds, but she never believes me.
  20. lol "Hello, Ubisoft customer service? ThursdayNext said you would give me a replacement code..."
  21. I think someone needs a trip to the angry dome.
  22. Ah, yeah. It makes a minor step forward in the story, but you could easily read about that online to catch up for AC3. @FLD: I said this before somewhere else, but I'm p sure I remember reading that AC3 has been being worked on by a separate team since the release of AC2, and that ACB and ACR were done by a side-team. If that's accurate (I can't for the life of me remember where that info came from) then it makes it seem likely that AC3 will be a bigger departure from the form of the previous games. *Edit* - Man, I went back to reread my previous post, and "and" sure seems to be my favorite word. I need to work on my sentence structure.
  23. Yeah, it'd be one thing if you could only do that on the easiest setting, but that was the second hardest. Saying "yes, but on the very most hardest setting you actually have to do something" isn't really doing all that much to refute the criticism.
  24. lol, now I feel like I'm coming across more critically than I meant to. I enjoyed AC:R a lot (but of course I'm an Assassin's Creed freak). I recommend it to anyone who likes Assassin's Creed and wants to play more of it. And the gameplay loop wasn't hurt by any of the added things, you can just ignore them if you want to and it plays just like the older ones. And they made the assassin training mission system deeper, and I spent a few hours just running around managing that, and could have spent much longer. And the upgrade-the-city mechanic is basically the same as in Brotherhood. Though I would say that if all the side quests are important to you then you might not like this one as much, because there are like 3 side quests in the whole game (not counting collectibles). Ultimately, I'd recommend it to anyone who likes Assassin's Creed, though if the side quests are important to you (or if you're not just absolutely in love the the series like I am) I'd wait for a price drop. But don't skip it altogether (unless you're just not interested in the series, in which case go ahead and skip it).
