50% off on Origin. I am a weak, weak man.

No no, I don't mean they should have gone with the traditional pointer tech, I just wish they had used the sensor bar to dynamically keep track of where the TV is without me having to hit the down button to recenter it. Like when you first boot the game and it says "point the Wii Remote at the center of the screen and press A" so it knows where the center of the screen is; it's using the sensor bar for that. I wish they'd just done that continuously, on the fly, without user input. I don't want them to have used the traditional pointer, I just want them to have used Motion Plus with the sensor bar as a reference.

Was checking my Amazon wishlist for things to add to get super saver shipping on my Katamari Forever purchase, and saw that the JP bundle had dropped like 60% from when I added it, and Suck Punch was 40% off.

As a Christmas present for the wife:

Also the Temple of Time was flipping awesome. Boss was cool, but too easy though.

I figured out what the problem was with the aiming: it's not that the Motion Plus was losing track of the TV, it's that every time you go into an aiming item (like dowsing or the slingshot or whatever) it assumes that when you first entered that mode you were pointing the Wiimote directly at the center of the screen. Now that I know that and can make sure I actually AM pointing it at the middle of the screen when I enter those modes it's not nearly such a problem. I still think it's stupid and that they should have used the sensor bar for reference, but at least now it's not face-punchingly frustrating.

They're gaming hardware.

I like that I'm not the only one who figures up gold/weight ratios when looting. I don't keep the books, there's far too much for me to do in the game besides sitting around reading. I check them once to see if they give me a skill or something and then put them down, unless they're a high gold/weight ratio in which case I sell them.

Sadly that letter will be filed under "Recycle Bin." If enough people skip out on the game or buy it when it's $20 or less companies may get the idea ... but I doubt it. I like to hope that at least one person might read it...

That makes me sad. I was interested in that game. Oh well, someone else can have my money then.

We like to be thorough. It's why we play TES.

I completed Homefront in slightly less than 4 hours.

I love that I can put "22.50 gbp/kg in usd/lb" into Google and it actually gives me the answer.

I was never able to get much into Oblivion but loved F3 and New Vegas, and so far I'm loving Skyrim. I can't put my finger on why, so I can't give you any real useful feedback, but take what you will from that.

Haha, yeah, I was borderline trolling by calling it God's controller. I'll just say that I find the 360 controller much more comfortable, and I like the feel of the sticks and triggers better, but I don't think you're wrong for liking the DS3 better.
-
Yeah, sometimes you can get through to them by just asking to talk to someone higher up.
-
Damnit. Fixed (hopefully).

Oh yeah, there's no way I'm paying anywhere close to full price for this game. And I wrote them a letter explaining that and why.
-
Yeah, I don't think a lot of devs realize that you can make your game's graphics look orders of magnitude better by just investing in a good dynamic lighting system. Skyrim and Halo Anniversary have both demonstrated this to me recently.

I very much loved Super Scribblenauts. $11 isn't bad.

*crosses fingers for ridiculous discount on Arkham City in Steam Thanksgiving sale*

I use God's controller for my PC games.
