I really liked the inclusion of Miles, especially once

Spider-Man Easily GOTY so far. Nothing else even comes close. It was just such a blast to play. Sure, it's largely based on systems other games have done before, but they're all just so perfectly executed. God of War was good, but this game is Amazing.

Those books sound like a rough read.

I finished Life Is Strange: Before the Storm a couple days ago. It was quite good, way better than I was expecting. Might be one of the best prequels I've ever played/seen (reboots aside). They managed to make it about events prior to the first game without tying everything in to the events of that game. It feels like its own story.

We basically never watched anything on the streaming, and same-day delivery isn't available here, we can only get the free two-day shipping. We just wait until we have $25 worth of stuff we want and get the free slowpoke shipping. The reason I came in here: Into the Breach for Switch.

I mean, the free 2-day shipping is super nice, but we don't use it enough to spend $120/year on it.

A Quiet Place. It was fine, although the ending was kind of dumb. I don't understand what everyone thought was so great about it though.

It actually did quite a bit more than that, but most of the rest is boring technical stuff.

Does anyone else play this game who I'm not already friends with? The celebi quest chain requires making friends with 3 new people.

I started playing Valkyria Chronicles again after giving up on Dying Light (I really enjoyed the running about, but found combat super tedious). I played Valkyria Chronicles years ago on the PS3, up through that damn tank mission. I'm only 4 missions in on PC right now, but it's weird, I remember all the cutscenes clearly, but have no memory whatsoever of any of these combat missions. It's a truly bizarre feeling.

That's a really interesting point. The game doesn't feel like what I think of as an "immersive sim", but when you point it out it really does have the core quality of the genre, with interactions with the world. being governed by systems rather than bespoke scripting.

I finished Uncharted: Lost Legacy a few days ago, and I think it tops even U4, just barely. It plays basically the same, but at half the length I never got to the "are we there yet?" point like I eventually did with U4, as much as I liked that game. I did kind of miss the globe-trotting, hunting-down-the-ancient-secrets part, but overall I think I had slightly more fun with it.

I always thought of it as kind of a boss, even though it's not strictly story-related.
