  1. Nah, P5C will come out on PC the week after P5R on console.
  2. That was quick. Weird that it's not the enhanced version, but hopefully this is the start of something and we can start getting the Persona games.
  3. My wife has been knitting for years and she still has trouble keeping the tension constant. Typically it gets looser as she goes on.
  4. I know I'm late to the party (apparently I didn't check the forum all weekend?) but what suggests that it's a port of the original version rather than the remaster?
  5. Wow, we went 3 2 days before somebody bought something new, we are not very good consumerists.
  6. I just officially beat Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu, in that I beat the Elite Four and the credits rolled. There's still a ton to do though: obviously there's go and catch Mewtwo, and complete my Pokedex, but they also added in master trainers for each Pokemon in the game, each of which will only let you use one particular Pokemon to fight then. So even though I'm "done" I'll probably still be playing this for a while yet.
  7. As a follow-up to my Shadow of the Colossus post, I wanted to add how impressive it was playing a 13 year old game with a world that was just so huge. I'm super impressed that they were able to make a game this big on the PS2.
  8. I decided to go with Assassin's Creed Odyssey after finishing RDR2, and goddamn playing these two back to back really makes AC look rough around the edges. The horse riding animation is what really gets me. After spending 60 hours staring at a beautifully animated cowboy riding a horse with realistic motion physics, AC looks like this: Human walking animations are the same way. It doesn't really detract from the game, but it makes it feel less immersive, which is something I'm not used to with AAA games in general, and AC in particular. Damn you Rockstar for raising the bar so high!
  9. Well the original rumor was that P5R was for Switch and possibly PS4, so this doesn't technically contradict it, but the fact Switch is nowhere to be seen is pretty ominous.
  10. Assuming I don't finish any more games this year (a huge assumption, I know), I beat 20 games total: Opus Magnum Blue Reflection Middle Earth: Shadow of War Bastion Tiny Metal Telltale Batman: Season 2 (RIP Telltale ?) Assassin's Creed Origins Surviving Mars Destiny 2 God of War Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris Destiny 2: Warmind Uncharted 4 Mario + Rabbids: Donkey Kong Adventure Uncharted: Lost Legacy Life Is Strange: Before the Storm Spider-Man Shadow of the Tomb Raider Red Dead Redemption 2 Shadow of the Colossus My most played platform by number of games was PC, with 55% (11 games): But going by hours it was PS4, with 50% (186 hours): If it weren't for RDR2 PC would have won both categories handily. That game alone accounted for 66 hours, and that's even with me doing almost no side content after about the halfway point of Chapter 3. PS4 also wins for most hours per game, at 27: A big part of that is RDR2, but even without that game PS4 would still win the category. The rest I believe is due mostly to the two Destiny expansions, which were pretty short and drag down the PC average. I was expecting this year to be the year of the PC for me, but PS4 actually made gains as compared to last year, which I find interesting. I ended the year with a backlog of 7 games, the same as what I started with, so at least I'm finish games as fast as I acquire them. And 6 of those 7 I got within the last 6 weeks, so really I was doing pretty well. I removed 28 games from my backlog throughout the course of the year. The reason that's more than the games I beat is because some games I take off once I realize I don't want to play them anymore, without actually finishing them. The games that earned that dubious honor are: Tyranny - This was a good game that I just lost interest in before getting all the way through it. I never really played classic CRPGs, so I think going back to that genre puts me at a disadvantage. Metro 2033 Redux - I should have known before I got this one, I was never able to get into the original Metro 2033 either. I want to like it, but for some reason I just don't. Okami HD - I just wasn't having fun. Styx: Shards of Darkness - Same as Okami. Yooka-Laylee - Same. It just felt soulless. Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock - I've read that the expansion really improves this game, so I may give it another shot at some point. The Long Journey Home Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun - I was really enjoying this game, until I got to a level that just seemed way too overwhelming. Dying Light - I loved the running around and hiding from zombies, but hated actually fighting them, which the game makes you do too much. Valkyria Chronicles PC - I didn't even make it to the tank mission this time. Into the Breach - This is a good one for playing when I have a little time to kill, but not one I'm probably ever going to just play through. So that was my year in games.
  11. No Switch... As for why PS4 would want a new version: P5 for PS4 is just an upres of the PS3 version.
  12. I've definitely seen the bars at the bottom, mostly on UK based sites, but I've always just had to click accept once and they're gone.
  13. Snuck Shadow of the Colossus in just under the wire for 2018.
  14. @TheFlyingGerbil Ah, yeah, that's rough. I would recommend saving at least once after each mission, and just rolling through all your save slots. That way you are likely to only lose one mission's worth of progress if you have to go back.
  15. I have literally never managed website cookie settings...
  16. How old was your last save before the one it loaded? I had it do that to me with my favorite gun, back when buying a replacement was a significant chunk of my money.
  17. I too shall post my Christmas haul. There's of course the games the amazing and generous @Mr. GOH! got me through the secret santa: And from my family I got:
  18. Finally beat RDR2, now to decide what to play next. It's pretty much between Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Hitman 2.

    1. TCP

      TCP

      Play Smash Bros you coward.

    2. TheMightyEthan

      TheMightyEthan

That would require buying Smash Bros...

      toxicitizen

More like Trash Bros, am I right???

Also, I'm sure Odyssey is fine but it won't let you do this:

  19. Finally beat Red Dead Redemption 2, this amazing, god-forsaken, beautiful game. It is my GOTY, and others, including @Mister Jack and @Mr. GOH! have already expressed everything I would say better than I could.
  20. New rumor is that it'll be announced on December 30, in conjunction with the new P5 OVA. Trying to keep my hopes in check, but goddamn...
  21. Yeah, that's part of it, but from what I've read even accounting for that many games don't run as well as they did on original hardware.
  22. And the emulator in the PS Classic isn't very good from what I've heard, you're better off emulating on PC.
  23. I agree with everything @Mister Jack said about it, but somehow RDR2 manages to be much more than the sum of its parts. Spider-Man is my runner-up. It's just so much fun, and really captures the feeling of being Spider-Man in the same way the Arkham games did for Batman.
  24. @TheFlyingGerbil The first thing I would do is open the task manager and see if Firefox is still open in the background, and if it is I would force close it and see if that makes the scroll thing go away.
