  1. Amusing, yes, but really it's just a stunt to try to raise money. They're not actually in danger of ceasing to exist, sadly.
  2. @Ultra TCP I actually can't think of a better one off the top of my head*. Not that I play a lot of TPS. *I don't count HZD or RotTR as TPS.
  3. I just finished Uncharted 4 last night, and it is hands down the best Uncharted I've played (Lost Legacy is next, and I've heard that may be better). They fixed the combat from previous entries, it's no longer just waves and waves of bullet sponges, and there are a lot more pure exploration/traversal bits, which are my favorite part. I also really liked the stealth implementation, which is unusual for a game that isn't primarily a stealth game. Last but certainly not least Basically this game was everything I've always wanted Uncharted to be.
  4. Wasn't Halo Online shut down by MS? P.S. I saw there was a post in this thread and was overcome by a sudden and unreasonable belief that they must have announced a PC port of the MCC.
  5. For those of us who can't read kanji (or any kind of Japanese, for that matter), what game is that?
  6. EA has announced a new Premier tier for Origin Access. It costs $15/month or $100/year, and gives you complete unlimited access to all new Origin games. That's kind of insane, really. New game comes out, sub to Premier and basically get it for free for $15. It could be great for someone like me, since I rarely take more than a month to finish a game, and anymore I basically don't play games more than once. Too bad it's EA. I honestly can't think of a single EA game coming out in the next year that I have more than a passing interest in.
  7. I want to watch it. I like that this implies that as their shields take damage their aerodynamics would get worse. That's kind of cool.
  8. Balance breaking bonus items are great when they break the balance of systems I don't enjoy.
  9. Holy shit, that doesn't even look like the same game.
  10. The way I've always played AC games in the past is I do side stuff until I get bored and want to advance the story, then do story stuff until I feel like doing side stuff again. The level requirements just messed with that rhythm.
  11. I've been playing Uncharted 4, and while I'm only to chapter 9 (of 22), it is easily my favorite Uncharted game. For me Uncharted's biggest problem has always been it's combat: there are twice as many event encounters as there should be, and each one lasts three times as long as it should. U4 fixes both those problems, at least so far. I never enjoyed having to survive in a designated combat arena through 4 waves of bullet sponges, just to get to advance to the next area to do it again. In Uncharted 4 though, there's a lot more traversal/exploration areas between encounters, and the encounters tend to be in more open areas where you have more options as to how you want to approach it. Most of them even let you completely stealth them if you want! Unless it changes drastically in the remaining 60% of the game, I think I can say this is the game I always wanted Uncharted to be.
  12. Are you secretly me? There is not a single word of that post that I disagree with. I had a lot more fun with it once I stopped trying to be completionist. Though I still felt like the leveling system really detracted from the game, because it forced me to do side quests when I wanted to do story quests because I wasn't a high enough level for the next story quest. I bought this game at $35 because of how great everyone said it was, and how much it revitalized the series, but I'll wait until the next one is cheaper.
  13. You'll be getting lots from me from our fire department. It's the oldest operational fire station in Kansas, built in the ancient days of 1886!
  14. Oh, maybe, I can't check anymore since I broke it down to infuse the other. That would make sense though, cause I got it from a 345 engram, and was surprised when a 350 weapon came out.
  15. I got a 350 scout rifle from the Flashpoint stuff, and used it to infuse my 340 scout rifle that I liked better, but it only brought it up to 345. Does anyone know what's going on with that? Usually infusing brings it up all the way to the level of the sacrificed gear.
  16. Destiny 2: Warmind I liked it, not a lot to say beyond that. I'm probably done with Destiny 2 though, at least until Forsaken comes out. I might pop on once a week to do the easy weeklies (Flashpoint and Heroic Strikes), but probably won't play more than that.
  17. Yeah, I thought the older AC's handled it better with fewer but more distinct weapons. I also thought God of War had a good system with specific no weapon options but with enchantments to tweak how they played.
  18. It's like Zelda in the same way that Mr. Pibb is like Dr. Pepper.
  19. It took me probably 6 hours, which is more than I had intended to spend on it, but I had fun. I'm at 340 now with little prospect of making any increases.
  20. Community days are always only 3 hours.
  21. That's giving me flashbacks to my Sega Genesis days.
  22. Huh, I had honestly forgotten it exists, although I did know at one point that it was coming out this year.
  23. Wow, I didn't even know AM&TW was out...
