  1. You gather resources and ore and make items to survive. After you have basic survival down, you accomplish small feats and make housing to attract NPCs that will offer various services. As you make tools, armor and weapons, you explore the world to fight various monstrosities which include slimes, undead, corruption, demons, boss fights, etc. In your journeys, you find various magic items as well. There are also special locations like floating islands, underground jungles, dungeons, hell, etc. Saves of worlds and characters are separate. So you can save your character and play with him on different worlds. Or if you have trouble with a dungeon or something, open an MP server with a world you played in SP and have them come over to help you. Content updates were also promised and so far, they are being delivered. That sounds pretty neat. I know there's a ton of comparisons as the 2D Minecraft, but it seems to have gone above n beyond in a few segments. It feels more like a sandbox Symphony of the Night game with some Minecraft mechanics, rather than a 2D Minecraft, IMO.

  3. And the best way to do that was to add vehicle sections.
  4. Sadly, since the popular belief is that PC = Steam now, I can see where Yant is coming from.
  5. Yea, they really showed the haterz with those 15 minutes of a game that need a hundred hours to complete.
  6. It was in Hot Heart's colours! WE HAVE A COLOUR CHART FOR A REASON! >: (
  7. Dragons confirmed as new Cliffracers.
  8. You broke my heart, Tenshi. You broke it to pieces.

  9. If you liked Contracts, you should see if you can get the first one going. Looks pretty dated, but a few of the Contracts missions are re-vamped from the original but missing some details and areas that were in the original. I played the first one yeeeeeeears ago. Got to the mission with the jaguar in the jungle, but my save got wiped for some reason and I never bothered playing again.
  10. I played most Hitman games, but only finished Contracts. It's a series I always mean to come back to and play again.
  11. That was fucking terrible.
  12. Sony had a badass show last year. I liked it more than Nintendo (of course, everyone raved over the 3DS. We see how that turned out...)
  13. Maybe he just has an intelligent ape fetish he's really open about.
  14. Watched a playthrough. Two weapons only and no mighty boot. Way to miss the point, Gearbox.
  15. Out of all the reasons one wouldn't take the trailer seriously, that reason would have never crossed my mind...
  16. I doubt Sony would give up on consoles over this incident. If they did, it would be a big blow to the whole industry. Means hackers could pretty much push anyone around...
  17. This line made me wonder if owning a game on one platform would enable you to own it on another. At least between PC and consoles (I doubt it would be possible to buy a game for Xbox and have it for the PS3). Or at least pay some smaller fee to access the game you already own on another platform. I doubt EA would do that, but it would be a nice direction for the digital era.
  18. I honestly hope the time on the boat before it started sinking and while it is sinking can be played in-game. It would be much more badass than just a cinematic.

Looks more like a stubby tentacle jellyfish... Bah what do I know!? Was it tasty at least?

It tasted of chaos and madness, so yes, it was tasty.

  20. I was never a fan of the Gameboy (Color) games, but I loved the NES and GBA ones. Epic Yarn had me _really_ skeptical after it was first announced, but the game is so much fan in MP, that I cannot bring myself NOT to like it. I think the most brilliant thing was when I played a GBA Kirby (can't remember which one), which was also my first Kirby game ever. I only knew of Kirby from TV commercials back then, so when I got the the final boss which was overly dark and dramatic, I was at a loss. Never expected something like that.
  21. So, for the first time in 10 years, I managed to spill something on my keyboard. Coca-Cola destroyed it in the middle of my game. I tried saving it, but it was too far gone. Luckily, my old $2 10-year old keyboard was still in this apartment and is still working magnificently. It's also awesome for Guilty Gear.

I have like 3 keyboards spare :/ Just ones I've replaced, but they're not broken so I don't toss em. (and too grimmy to hand me downs)

Save those keyboards. You never know.

Yeah never toss out a keyboard. PS/2 ones (or USB/PS2 adapters) are especially handy.

  22. Mate, I do believe that is a classic case of what they call "jinxing yourself". *Moves in with Excel*
