"Yeah, I only sleep with four or five different women" is not monogamous.

Project M is a good idea but... I just hate the feel of Brawl so much, that even if they fix all the rest of the issues, as long as it still feels like Brawl I won't like it. /purist.

The problem with this is not the ways it's similar to Smash Bros. The problem for me is that it looks REALLY slow, stale and dull... just lacking all the good parts of Smash.

Sweden has a government-enforced monopoly on most alcoholic drinks. *sits back and waits for people to freak out*

Thanks for that fix, excel! Worked wonders. @Dean: Yeah I also tend to turn off blur effects in games.

I'm glad it's coming to linux because that means I can use steam as an IM on linux

like Toshi says, it's most similar to Tactics. It's got the same grid-based... base... to it.

We don't seriously trust system requirements, do we? Because we really shouldn't. Skyrim runs MUCH better on my machine than Witcher 2 does.

I agree with all of that, except I think even if you continue to use a copyright, it should fall into public domain eventually. And a lot sooner than it does now. I could easily see companies pushing out products for the sole purpose of retaining that copyright.

This. People make a big deal about "choice" and "morality" in games, but really, The Witcher 2 is the only game to get it right. Your actions have consequences, but it's never the "save orphanage or light a box of puppies on fire" polarity. What happens is what happens, and it's up to the player to decide whether they chose poorly or correctly. I can name some older games I feel does it right. VTMB, for example.

What difficulty are you playing on? On Dark, I don't really think there's such a fight as "ridiculously easy." You can get taken out by a couple of Nekkers if you get careless.

@Mister Jack: Overall, I like the video, and it makes a few points I'd agree with. But I have to say they didn't exactly pick the most convincing anti-pirate to argue for that side. "The fact is, it's wrong" is one of the weakest arguments I've ever heard. Then again, I guess that's what 90% of this type of video is always going to be.

The problem with Awakening for me was that it didn't feel sufficiently different from the original campaign. I still liked it, but not nearly as much.

This is most of Sweden today.

There's something critical missing in the 360 version. You might have to zoom in.

1984 is also one of the most famous books there is, which tends to make it easier for Google to find what you're looking for. Something like Notch's new game is much more obscure in comparison.

I wonder if the people who are comparing this to tribes have played Tribes, or just saw some Tribes videos and decided "jetpacks = tribes-style."

I never understood what people had against this one. I loved it, particularly the multiplayer. The only consistent complaint I've heard about it was how much the execution moves left you vulnerable. The solution to which is to not use the execution moves too often.

Which is the exact impression I get from everyone in the AAA console space once in a while.

I've been pronouncing it as "Notch's new game with the stupid title", myself.

I'm all for the idea of something in the Aliens universe. Only issue is that I've still never played a fully gearbox-made game I enjoyed. Their games just feel weird to me. Opposing Force doesn't count because it was built on top of the already great Half-Life. On the other hand I hear a bunch of people actually thought Borderlands was playable, so I guess I'm just being super-picky about control feeling as usual.
