A Let's Play of Human Revolution by the devs. They can be kinda brutal on their game, though a lot is comparing it to Mankind Divided.

The 10 year guy is CGP Grey. I think he pops back to America relatively regularly too. Being relatively tech savvy I imagine he watches a fair few American shows too. Whereas the 14 year lass is probably on a healthy diet of Coronation Street and Eastenders (especially as I doubt 14 years ago it was as easy to get hold of streamed American TV) edit: also personally I'd say the woman sounds more American. CGP Grey had been confusing to me when I first started listening, he kinda cycles between sounding weird british and weird American. Never firmly one or the other. Almost..sorta BBC English (though that's less a thing these days). He enunciates stuff quite clearly, both from doing his videos and I guess if he's a teacher that'll do the trick too.

Google own a fair part of network infrastructure (they are one of the most visited sites on the web. They went down for a few minutes almost exactly 2 years to the day and took out 40% of the internet). This isn't exactly gonna list "Joe Bloggs, 34, Privet Drive, Wisconsin" or whatever, it'll be the main data hubs. Most of what shows up is the ISPs and the ISP's ISPs. You computer - Router - Your ISP - Other servers - Their ISP - their server - Our website. I'm not a network engineer so in the old adage of "if you can't explain it simple enough you don't understand it well enough" I'll suggest having a google about and learning bits n bobs if you're interested. The internet is rather interesting structure. Not quite a series of tubes. Oh it's worth noting while it says "attacker" the way this is set up not everything will be purposefully done, these are all honeypots being attacked so many will be automated scripts looking for a way in an unsecured network. Also while it's split up by countries in many cases it's industrial espionage* or gaining access to private computers** rather than World War Web or whatever. Personally I like it cos it looks kinda pretty and it's an interesting example of tools modern web offers us. * Note a lot of internal American traffic. ** e.g UAE gets hit a lot cos they have a lot of people with a lot of money. Get something on their PC and kerching.

Yeah some more niche quirks. But yeah, we count thunder in lightening in elephants. Why are houses in thousands? Also I'm not sure why he's saying the numbers aren't lined up. Most of the time they are set up to have odds n evens on opposing sides of the row.

So DWP (Department of Work and Pensions) have had to take down a leaflet which had stock photos and made up quotes from non-existent people positively affected by sanctions. They are pretty evil. I honestly can't seen any positive reason for cutting anyone's benefits for up to 6 months. "Hey, food and a roof costs money, but you probably don't need any of that". And folks wonder on the rise of food banks. For Americans the JSA (job seekers allowance) is £58($90) for under 25yr (though government is wanting to scrap it completely), or £73($115) if you're above that. If you break their many little rules then boom you get sanctioned, no benefits for around 1-156 weeks. I fell afoul, thankfully not long before getting my current job, because I was volunteering at a YMCA youth centre as tech support. A role gained at a fair they sent me too (they send you to a bunch of job fairs, if you don't attend...sanction), and a role that I and the youth centre had to fill a bunch of forms out for. Thankfully savings helped buoy me for a bit, but I imagine many others don't have that chance. Not much left to save from £56. But did mean once I got a job I was pretty good at living on next to nothing (though it sorta went out the window when I was like "ooh, I can go the cinema and not have to give up 2 days of food!") IDS would gain a couple notches of respect from me (he's still be in the region of no-respect mind) if he was to take a shot at being on JSA for a month or two.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E Pretty good film. Not the worlds greatest but pretty enjoyable. It did get a bit muddy towards the end with There was a sorta comic-book style panel montage of sorts that was kinda neat, almost wore it welcome but ended in a quite nice Lego style co-op splitscreen thing. In fact a few nice little shots throughout. Was nicely ticking along throughout, pretty neat pacing, some laughs, some action, drama etc. Good movie, enjoyable. It drew quite an older crowd (like 50s+). I imagine due to watching the TV show back in the day maybe?I wonder if The Avengers(not that avengers) had a similar audience. Oh in booking the film I found that despite the 3 storey high (and this is cinema/entertainment complex storeys, so about 60 foot tall) poster for Fantastic Four on the outside of the building the only showings for this week are in the "Studio" screen, which is the bookable for private events 60 seater screen on the top floor. It's quite a tidy little cinema, I watched Avengers(yes that avengers) in for the staff première, always figured it'd be cool to have a personal film showing there one day.

Was in the trailers before my film, I'd read a bit about it in Empire, seems like it might be quite good. Also not shown: edit: For American viewing This one I think is meant to be funny.

I figure I'll give Assasin's Creed another shot. Though still doing FFX (I'm past Yunelesca so it's that "gather celestial weapon, unlock limit breaks" bit)

Equilibrium It was alright, though I'd been led to believe it was some major film I'd missed out on (which I guess costs it some points). Quite a strong influence from the Matrix (I had to check which came first, was surprised to find this was the newer film since some parts are kinda dated). Bale mostly carried in the film, there was some kind of weird direction, especially with some of the "gun katana" thing in it that crops up. It's I guess trying to be bullet time without being bullet time. I guess I appreciate the effort, but it doesn't work too well. I guess I also appreciate it tried to have a bit of a message n what not with the whole emotions side of things, but it was ...yeah just really weirdly directed I guess is how it felt. And like spent a lot of time over the whole him coming off the drugs, and wayyy too many times did it let him slip up in an obvious way and folks for most part just let it slide. I get that his partner was "in on it" to get him into the underground, but there was all the grunts too. It was an okay film. I've watched it, I can cross it off the list.

So, is Destiny pretty worthless without the expansions? I've seen it kicking about cheap but if you need the expansions (and other people) I'll stick with what I have.
