Alongside my film backlog and GoT I'm also destroying H2G2 trilogy as well, currently on So Long and nearly finished with that. Tempted to start Game of Thrones next, I'm unsure. I'll see how I feel though I know if I do I probably won't catch up on ASOIF before the years out. FFX: HD Ditched the whole "lets get everything unlocked" route and instead decided to plough through the final stretch. Made a bunch of saves near the "point of no return" though, so I'll pop back later if I'm feeling bored. Kinda figured I've a month n half to go through FFX-2 n AC:Unity before FO4 comes out.

I know what a NAS is. The "Cloud" in the name and ethernet port for connection kinda gave it away. They do have an actual NAS solution with replaceable HDDs n such, but yeah it's a relatively basic solution. I imagine ideal for home use if you've a lot of movies to stream, but as n when/if I'd probably be eyeing up QNAP or similar. (Or as noted above stick something on a rPi)

I bought a new 4TB external back-up drive to replace my aging 1TB one (it carries on cutting off, tbh might just be the cable or power supply but best to play it safe). I was mulling between a bog standard USB one and the "MyCloud" version. I mulled a bit, figured that maybe tablet/phone access might be neat but main time I used them for like films viewing or what not was usually while I'm on train or something and I've decent sized microSD's for that purposes. So I got the bog standard USB version. It was a fair bit cheaper and meant I didn't have to have my HDD wired up in the lounge (it only had ethernet and a USB extension port). You can maybe figure why I'd want all my HDDs in my room. I figure if I want the "myCloud" capabilities I can probably do it myself with either my PC or an older RasPi or something and wire it up. An I think next month I'll pick up a big internal HDD too. I'm unsure on the age of my current HDDs which is beginning to worry me, apart from the SSD they all pre-date my current PC and it'll be 2yrs old this xmas.

Ghost In The Shell I imagine I probably need to read the manga an immerse myself in the lore. In fact at some point I may. Another pretty film, the only anime on my list at the moment I believe, though I should probably add some Ghibli. The rate I'm devouring stuff especially. I can certainly see the Matrix influencers in it, I could see it being a film that would do well if made in live action for modern audiences. I think it could maybe do with a bit of tweaking on the slow parts, it is a bit weird with like a few bits of a ton of action followed almost immediately by slow scenes of dialogue or in one case just panning images. But that's the style I guess. And obviously it's all rather important but I imagine you could weave some of the "what is life, what is memory or reality" stuff into action in an intelligent way. I haven noticed anime really really likes the tree of life.

Beyond the Faraway Tree Stannis and Hitler are planning their war campaign. New reports are coming in that thier heavy mining for iron is causing problems for the men and morale is low. The two muse over what is to be done when Hitler suggests "Then we must mine less" "Mine fewer" Stannis responds.

Maybe useful for some. A rough overview of Civil War, though this'll likely never be like this in the film.

Not sure how you'll be able to unlock the Tier 5 thing that way though, unless they go "only give out pre-orders 4 days early" and I can see Steam cocking it up somehow).

I've being playing FFX. Figured I'd aim for the full celestial weapon set and since this is 2015 there's now plenty of information on how to get yourself set up with Lulu (there's a specific crater with a 100% lightning strike, walk around in circles for 20 minutes...my highest is 149, which is 1 shy of getting a new item and 51 shy of the sigil) n Wakkas (If you "reset data" on Blitzball it increases chances of slots appearing, n less matches to play, then you get the sigil as a prize, it's 50:50 so just reboot until it pops up). In between that I've being going around terrorising other players in NFS: Rivals. Man it feels good to have a racing game to jump into. My only issue is cos it's through the US PSN it turns out PS4 is pretty stingy on rights so I can only play it when logged in to my other account. Which kinda sucks (it's deanbmmv2 should anyone wish to play with me) And since it's free weekend I played some ARK. It's alright, though not really any people around, just random chats. Though I know someone at least spotted me once cos they commented on seeing my torch (I put it out and "it's gone" I put it back on "oh it's there again", so I know it was me). Also a dead guy, but couldn't like loot it or anything. So yeah, seems a bit silly to be MP only in that regard, kinda sucks there's not a free play SP mode be nice to just hobble around, build huts, hunt dinosaurs etc. Which is my second issue, most dinosaurs leave you alone unless you attack first. However thee's these insects which are kinda hard to hit since they fly, inject poison and usually a fair few levels higher than you which tend to off me which got really annoying after the 5th time (when you die you pretty much start from scratch). All the dinos are leveled, but it's not like in any sensible "beach where you start is low leveled, as you go deeper in then it's higher stuff" it's just quite randomly scattered. They'll vanish too, so hunting can be frustrating. And via Eleven I've a HOMMVII beta key. So I've given that a bit of a whirl. It's HOMM with improved graphics. I didn't play VI, but it plays much like V did. My only issue with it is that when it's CPU turns it takes forever and it really chugs, music slows down, the trees stutter in the wind, etc. But it's a beta so when I figure where they actually want feedback for this I'll drop them a line.
