PS4 can't play PSone games but can render large crowds of the French. I'm not sure that's a fair swap.

Well, well, well looks like classic PlayStation titles could be coming to PS4 soon:

See I will be of the "it is a digitser stylus hence the price" front. Which are much more accurate than just the rubber "replacement finger" types you can get from Poundland n other shitty shops (I've a wacom one cos I'm a knob)

I picked up Rebuild 3 for mobile other day. I've played Rebuild and quite enjoyed it. I think I got it free on Amazon or in a HIB. It was a nifty little city builder, though slightly basic and this horrible clash of art style. Sort of a cartoony city n characters, and really gritty drawings for the zombie attacks. Rebuild 3 has the art style all nailed down and centralised. It's a bit more story driven of sorts too (in so far as there's less survivors, so they have backstories which expand upon as you level up, which is a new thing for them with picking perks and such). I like that survivors have requirements before joining, and sometimes little stories like being ill (do you take the risk?) or hating each other (which one do you want, oh fine the other guy will make their own faction). Really good upgrade, I'm happy with the cost (which given I used Google Reward money was free).

The first of several "SPECIAL" videos. I would guess we've been given a peek at the in-game Perk system too (that leaflet, since they're going quite skeuomorph with the Pipboy already).

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/sep/10/pokemon-go-location-based-mobile-game-nintendo Nintendo making a sort of "Pokemon Ingress" called "Pokemon GO" (which is unfortunate naming cos Square Enix have "GO" games on mobile too). Could be sorta interesting I guess. edit: Niantic is making this, and made Ingress so that probably explains why it seems like Ingress. Also here's a video of how it won't work:

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/sep/10/apple-tv-ipad-pro-tim-cook So Apple have in a shocker annoucned s versions of their current iPhone line-up in a move to astound everyone and their dog. The bigger news is a new bigger iPad, the "iPad Pro" that is a ...now stop me if you've heard this one before, a professional orientated 12" tablet device with a keyboard cover and a "Pencil" accessory to use alongside it. Total innovation. And because Apple are massive innovators rather than using a passive power form that most digitiser styli have such as Wacom n Note (which I think uses Wacoms tech) you have to charge it from the lighting port instead (so better hope you have a flat surface around to rest it on). The alternative method proposed was attaching a motor to Steve Jobs' grave. Any creative types are likely to want something with much more potential than an iOS device can provide. They'll either already be using the Surface Pro (of which 4 is around the corner) which runs full blown Windows, or they're set up with a Wacom like most arty types. After bringing out a large 6" phone, a smartwatch and now a stylus and 12" tablet I imagine they'll follow it up with an innovative curved screen next.

There's maybe a "two countries separated by the Atlantic ocean" thing going on here but I thought she's a clerk? That's what the news over here have called her. US Politics can be kinda confusing (as I imagine ours is to you). Civil servants are well civil servants. Though I'm gonna guess you guys use something else to avoid "servants"...isn't it "federal employees" or something. Impeachment is a concept I'm only vaguely aware of nearly happening to Nixon over the whole water scandal (sod the whole "add gate to scandals" stupidity). Okay I'm intrigued: Explain why she's elected, what her job is, and expand on the "she can't be impeached cos stuff isn't in session until January"

Oh I know why, but trying to explain why he's not King Phillip, but Charles will be King Phillip and that it's the Windsors in power. This isn't my first rodeo with talking English history using GoT with same fellow. Good for covering war of roses, n then everyone British pupils favourite topics: The Tudors. Apart from being the older "males first" succession it is a monarchy, which he hasn't lived under to fully understand. GoT is quite rapid in it's succession and covers several topics on bastards, political marriages, mights is right, divine right of kings, etc n stuff like that while being much more engaging than David Starkey. He's quite interested in British and recent news made him piqued again for another session. I just generally avoid anything tea company related though we've broached the topic now n then (cropped up today on who was king during their independence, which was George VI). Anywho brief history to dedicate the day (a lot less kings n queens than I'd have thought, especially given how short lived some of them are).

If you whack the right bits in Google Translate you'll see I've only changed a little bit. I've combined her titles and stylings from UK (twice, hence the Latin), Australia, and Canada. Victoria just got her UK name. Indian colleague is very very confused about how come Prince Phillip isn't king, and why we have some Kings and some Queens. I've had to basically go "look, it's two thousand years old. Things get funny after that long". This was after attempting to use GoT as a basis of understanding monarchy and I realised they don't have the same succession laws we do, or at least no examples of Queens so far (except Queen Consorts).

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-34177107 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-34150885 In about 4 hours Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God Queen of this Realm and of Her other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith, Mother of Several, Second of Her Name, Queen of Australia, par la grâce de Dieu Reine du Royaume-Uni, du Canada et de ses autres royaumes et territoires, Chef du Commonwealth, Queen du le Angles, Défenseur de la Foi, Dei Gratia Britanniarum Regnorumque Suorum Ceterorum Regina, Matrem Draconum, Consortionis Populorum Princeps, Fidei Defensor will become the longest reigning Monarch of Britain, surpassing Her Majesty Victoria, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Queen, Defender of the Faith, Empress of India at 63 years and 215 days. As a comparison for the Americans Joffrey was king for about 22 episodes. Or 11 Presidents. Bonus: No one knows exactly how long she's been queen cos magical method of royal ascension means she became queen in her sleep. Bet a few people have had one of those days; go to bed a princess, wake up a queen.

I've just found out about "The Message Bible" and it kinda explains why some American Christians seem like they've not read the bible. They have, just a very different version to everyone else. Oh and "walk through the valley of death" is "walk through Death Valley" which is in America, and a very literate take on a metaphor. On this Kim Davis thing...I feel I'm maybe missing something on ""why not just fire her". I know you guys have the whole "at-will" thing going on so you can fire someone for looking at you funny. Actively refusing to do your job is a fireable offence over here. Oh also John McAfee is running for president: http://thehill.com/policy/technology/252987-software-pioneer-mcafee-files-paperwork-to-run-for-president http://mcafee16.com/

John Wick Man you guys are kidding, pretty great film. Pretty slick, keeps plodding along at a good place. It builds up this world through character interaction n the gold coins. Even before you see him in action you know he's a bad ass from the way folks talk of him early on, like Sid refusing to take the car n such. Oh and Reek being all arrogant about it is like TV Tropes level. I liked the Russian subtitles too. Nightwatch is only other film I've seen that does subtitles near people and styled rather just near the bottom (though that only happened in the original release, the DVD did regular subtitles). Oh n great in media res. Nothing sets you up for a film more than a empty car park with a semi destroyed car smashing into a docking bay n a half dead guy rolling out. My only issue really would be that the blood is so clearly CGI. It's like level I learnt at in first year. But that's it.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/food/why-salad-is-so-overrated/2015/08/21/ecc03d7a-4677-11e5-8ab4-c73967a143d3_story.html They're resource intensive for what they are. It's a fairly compelling case; it's a lot of stuff you already know about them being kind of naf as a food, you're much better using other things. I do sort of mentally see salad as a "filler" but that's more for the eyes than the stomach. Though I'd be up for a bit of a home hydroponics for them since it's relatively simple to grow. I've been getting cous-cous n quinoa stuff from Iceland which is good as a side for things where you might have a salad (it's the quinoa stuff I did a bit too long n made bone dry with the venison burgers).

Eng vs Eng: Lollo Rosso. Our lettuce prices are similar. Though I don't really do dressings, and tbh kinda wanting to slim down on the lettuce/salad side of things since pretty compelling argument on it being kinda terrible for all involved. (also if really need a lettuce spin I don't have one nor the space).

I'm not sure I'd want to freeze all my sandwiches. Bit of a bother to try and work out what freezes and defrosts fine and what doesn't. I've found bread n bit of meat goes me through the week fine.

They've specifically announced today they're bringing the UK date forward: http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/34183688/uk-star-wars-release-date-brought-forward (Also I'm pretty sure there's confirmation bias at play for yourselves, pretty sure it's infrequent to get films notably early and there's plenty we get months later)

We get it early. We get it early. We get it early. In yo face rest of world. The empire strikes back!

I've picked up the Witcher 3 Expansion pack thing. Figure now I'm seeing the kind of thing they're producing be worth picking up. More Witcher 3 is never a bad thing.

First expansion announced for pre-order http://www.gog.com/game/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_hearts_of_stone edit: More info. If you buy it boxed at a store you get physical Gwent cards so that's kinda neat http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-09-08-first-witcher-3-expansion-gets-a-release-date (if you already bought the expansion digitally there's stuff you can do to get the gwent cards, see article)
